Next Island VU 17.3.0 Release Notes

A new pet known as “Asclarius” is available to players! It is obtainable via the Asclarius quest, which can be accessed at an NPC named Perik, inside the Ancient Greece Orpheus Cave. The instance gate stands next to him. Complete the quest to gain the core that allows access to the instance. Beware, the Asclarius pet is difficult to tame, but helpful at looting things! Enjoy!
Grab one of our new L Skyripper vehicles and fly around, checking out Next Island and Ancient Greece with an unobstructed view and delightful mobility.
Hunt our Gorgon wave and loot the amazing unlimited armor plates, Serpent’s Scale. Upgrade them at NPC Militiades, along with your Gorgon armor.
Graduate as a Next Island disciple and try out our new disciple reward, a full set of UL Seeker armor!

New Content:
- Created a new PvP zone in the water
- A new boss mob for the PvP shark spawn is here, known affectionately as the Megalodon.
- New texture to match the Gorgon armor
- The craftable Skyripper flying vehicle
- A new instance for taming of our new pet, the Asclarius
- A multi faction daily with various tailoring BPs (5 clicks each) as reward.
- Can be started from Thebes Market/Oasis/Kamba/Sypherton Gardens/Tanzanite View/Crystal Peak
- A quest to locate a sunken ship in Ancient Greece that starts in the harbor in the new player area
- A quest chain for the New Elysian Order faction (N.E.O.) at Sypherton Gardens
- A daily crafting quest for N.E.O. at Sypherton Gardens
- A uniquely skinned mankini for the player who suggested this concept
- A daily mining quest on Ancient Greece. The NPC is in a building in Thebes/Thebes Market area.
- New clothing inspired by the Stel faction
- New clothing (F) inspired by Ancient Greece
- Disciple armor for NI graduates of the mentorship program
- A full new selection of TT reskins
- Some adjustments and rework of Caroline’s
- A full suite of new Personal Legend Achievements for Next Island and Ancient Greece
- Next Island’s first UL armor plates will be dropping from the Gorgon Wave. They are upgradeable via the Gorgon armor upgrade NPC, from the normal plate Serpent’s Scale all the way to Perfected Serpent’s Scale. They include a block chance, high impact and acid protection, and strong durability. *Block chance is bugged for the release, but it will be fixed in a patch by next week.
- Detail and decoration added, filling out some areas of Ancient Greece and Next Island
- Finished design and build of two player estates for Alaina Bonnie Knight and Buzz Erik Lightyear. Congrats and thank you!!

Fixed Issues:
- Fixed the wood planks at Crystal Peak
- Adjusted position of TP closest to Agamemnion Estate
- Added several new revive points into Ancient Greece
- Adjusted a variety of ores and enmatters, including gold and dark lysterium
- Adjusted the PvP land zone in Ancient Greece, per player request
- Adjusted drop rate of minotaur horns
- Adjusted drop rate of Okenite
- Adjusted drop rate of Tanzanite
- Adjusted drop rate of Purpurite
- Holes in the ground at the Gorgon wave area fixed
- Papoo spawns on NI adjusted, per player request
- Decay rate of clothing fixed
- Augmented Gorgon armor recipe fixed
- Fixed the order of armor trade ins for the Gorgon Armor
- Adjusted respawn timing on Brontes in AG
- Fixed issue lake area near PvP zone in Ancient Greece
- Regen rate on Zeus lowered a bit
- Fixed issue where clothing was listed in the incorrect category
- Flower quest adjusted to be a bit easier
- Reckoning blueprint model fixed for inventory
- Block Chisel name fixed
- Avatar position in the combat boat adjusted
- Enslaved Daudaormur damage adjusted. Penetration removed
- Fixed an issue where the Bikini/Mankini textures appeared faded
- The Daudaormur Texture Blueprint (UL) has been fixed to be (L)

Known Issues:
- Phenacite crystal drop rate needs adjusting
- Improved fang drop rate needs adjusting
- Building in the middle of the Gorgon Wave event causes issues with mobs going unreachable and then disappearing
- Zeus, Gorgon, and Gorgon’s Shade do not show what level they are
- Particle effects look strange


Cyrene September 1st 2020 VU Notes

We we're really working down to the wire with the stuff that we could get into this VU, but we feel like we're moving in the right direction (although not as much content as we wanted), any and all feedback about this VU is welcome, please chat about it in our Discord or post it up on our Forums.

We're already planning some adjustments for the Mini Patch.

New Additions
- New Missions
-- Byrd Terminal - Now Accepting All Donations | a simple mission to spawn a group of Byg Byrds for a new recipe turn in should now be available.
--- There are 3 new combine recipes, one of the is used for the Byrd Terminal, you can get the information from an NPC at Zorra's new base (between Rookie TP and A.R.C. Staging).

- Hunter's Cavern
-- Hunter's Cavern is a new experimental hunting area on Cyrene. There's a small entry fee to prove to the Zekkonian's that YOU aspire to be a master hunter.
-- There are currently 3 levels available:
--- Low level Paneleons
--- Mid level Tide Claws
--- High level Zeladoths
-- All levels have a cluster of various creatures with lower levels of agression and pre-set auto loot for all players.
-- Within the area you'll have various NPCs to chat with and limited terminals.
-- There are a few achievements to earn and some additional story for the Zekkonians, as well as a new way to hunt some of the popular mobs on Cyrene.
-- You can try out this hunting area by heading to Zorra's new base (between Rookie TP and A.R.C. Staging).

- Turrelia Wave Spawn
-- After several adjustments from the last VU, this wavespawn is ready for players.
-- Reduced HP / Damage from higher level waves and adjusted loot lists.
-- The purpose of this wave spawn is to allow players to collect Turrelion Essence, which can be used to upgrade the Turrelion Outerwear and Settler clothing sets to have non-combat buffs.
-- You can join a group just west of the Ice Plateau TP.

- Mentors and Disciples
-- Disciple Armor + P.I.G.V. | Any and all disciples that graduate on Cyrene should now be able to acquire this armor correctly, we're still working on the details with MindArk about replacing the armor for players who graduated during the last VU.

- Booths
-- Kris has plans for the current booths on Cyrene that he's waiting for final confirmation from MindArk about, but if there are any outstanding merchants that you'd like to make sure that he notices please post them up on the Forums or mention it in the Discord server.

Changes
- The spear thrusters should now be able to be interacted with on planet.
- All "seek and find" items should have no issue being interacted with on planet.
- Quality of life changes for "Find the Rifts" mission.
- The new Cyrene load screens should now work correctly.
- Fixed various typographical and grammatical errors in items and missions.
- Adjusted Zeladoth spawns to make sure all maturities are included within separate spawn areas.
- All defunct society terminals should now be removed.

Information
- Planet Cyrene still does not yet have access to the Codex, to add in Cyrene mobs, more updates to come as we have them. That being said we plan to give Cyrene players ample time to know when the Codex will be implemented as well as the information that not all missions will be automatically added into the codex. There are several new mobs ready that will be added specifically for the Codex.

Known Issues
- The Hub Arenas and Proving Grounds are currently not accepting entry tokens nor are they awarding tokens for kills. This is is still not fixed by MindArk and there is currently no ETA.
- The culmination for the chain mission for the Ryvox the Cypher is currently not implemented.
- Support weapons are not currently working properly, this is a platform issue.
- All Cyrene vehicles (P.I.G.V., Spear, Lancer, Dragonfly) have default sounds, this will be addressed in a future patch.
- Some Quality Ratings information in blueprint book: A.R.C. is incorrect, and this issue is still being looked into.
- A supplementary mission for Rank 5 of Brown Beetles to give proper mission rewards is not working correctly and will be fixed in a future VU.


Toulan VU 20.3 | The Last of the Safians

Nara arrived on the planet expecting to see the sultanate restored to its former magnificence, instead what she witnessed was a desolate and foreboding place. The great structures built by her ancestors remained yet stood empty. As empty as she felt at that moment, knowing that it had all been for nought.
She was not expecting her secret fantasies to materialise and be welcomed by her namesake and greatest of all Safians. She had however, hoped to at least find what it was that she had long since lost. A family.

The realisation that Toulan was barren hit Nara hard, the last of her kin had protected her and secreted her away with a single purpose. It had taken her a long time to find their ancestral home as all records had been destroyed to protect the Insians from a great evil. An evil greater than the Narians, a dark force that couldn’t be ignored and caused the Safians to trade one moon for another, leaving behind the safety and power of Nawa Energy.
An evil that led to the demise of the Safian race as Nara was about to realise.
The last of the Safians was not ready. At the same age the daughters of Sinmar were leaders but Nara had led a more sheltered life. Folk tales and bedtime stories were no preparation for what lay ahead. In those parables the descendants of Sinmar were busy ensuring the future of the Insians and preparing their defence. The truth appeared to be quite different.

Nara wondered what had become of the Insians. She reached out through the void that connected all Safians and felt alone. Then a sense of familiarity coursed through her veins and hope returned. It was not quite Safian but something else. A new feeling, or rather a force that she was able to direct and channel. She was drawn to the Moon and felt the Nawa leave her body and travel toward what she somehow knew to be the Lotus Temple.
So it was that the machine, created by the Safians, came to life and the Insians were once more created.

Tailoring
With the arrival of Nara and the return of the Insian colonisers the rebuilding of the Toulan economy has begun. Using local resources master tailors have created a large range of garments waiting to be discovered.
  • A new Toulan Tailoring Blueprint Book is available from technicians.
  • A selection of unlimited and limited tailoring BPs are waiting to be discovered.
Taming
After feedback from the community and some investigation we have made adjustments to the Karmoosh Aleef Lab Instances.
Karmoosh Aleef Lab Instance
  • A Solo instance is available for holders of the untradeable item “Karmoosh Aleef Lab Key – Solo”
  • The entrance to the instance is at Lab 3 at Fauna and Flora Center
  • The Lab Key entitles the holder to one entry to the instance
  • Each instance has a 3 hour timer
  • Only one Karmoosh Aleef Pet will spawn at a time
  • If the pet is accidentally killed another will spawn in its place
  • You can only tame one ‘Karmoosh Aleef Pet’ during the instance
  • The instance will be available until the end of the year to give players time to skill in the taming profession if needed for this rare pet
Distribution of the Keys
  • Keys will be placed in the inventory of players who have the Karmoosh Lateef Pet
  • Keys will be distributed to Team Leaders and Team Members who entered the Karmoosh Team Instance
  • Keys will be distributed to players who entered the Karmoosh Solo Instance
  • The Karmoosh Aleef Lab Key item in the player’s inventory will be replaced with the “Karmoosh Aleef Lab Key – Solo”
Taming the Karmoosh Aleef
The Karmoosh Aleef pet is a rare pet with an at present unique combination of passive effects:
  • Skill Gain Pet & Taming 10%
  • Decrease Critical Damage 3%
  • Auto Loot 45 Meters
We wanted players who experienced the previous instances or owners of the “Karmoosh Lateef Pet” to have the chance to tame the new pet but it is a rare and high level pet. It is recommended that players with very little experience of taming skill up and perhaps take advice from more experienced tamers as this is designed to be a one chance instance. Use it wisely!

Information Desk
An information desk has been added by the citadel to share information with new players and visitors to Planet Toulan.

Fixes/Adjustments
  • Fixed an issue with texture causing client crashes when texture settings were set to low
  • Lighting adjusted at the Nahar reactor due to graphical issues at night time
  • Instances now use correct amount of Nawa Energy Cores
  • Fauna & Flora Atrox Old to Provider now working correctly
  • Added waypoint to protect the coop mission for Jabaly’s position
  • Updated the Ibreh & Zir Button BP Texture to tailoring BP
  • Renamed “Wroten TabTab Tooth” to “Rotten TabTab Tooth”
  • Renamed “Wroten Caboria Clam” to “Rotten Caboria Clam”
Known Issues
  • The Information Desk will be activated in a patch
  • Players graduating on Toulan are not receiving the Toulan Graduation Armour, this is currently under investigation.

yeah, more bugs. He will probably not post anything, its normally been in the past if anything the players have to discover new stuff for them selfs or when stuff drops 3 weeks later.
 
OK, so bla bla bla.... TLDR; Planet Cyrene still does not yet have access to the Codex

So WTF is this VU about again? Here I thought MA was adding Codex to the other planets... what a disappointment, again.
 
well they actually only said theyre removing old mission system.. didnt say anything about adding anything in its place =p
 
Maybe Ark added a cool new bagpack with80 crit dmg and Caly is working on dwsigning one too before everyone leaves to Ark and NI?

Remember the old days when a VU required a full day, even more, when servers were moved... ahh those were the days :D

I downloaded some update of 31 mb, adn after that i get an error msg that an admin is blocking the file... any one? dxsetup.dll is blocked

For Entropia version updates and patches, you will need to approve an application install/change. It is a Windows security control for your safety. Close the Launcher, then reopen and continue watching. Your computer may ask again when its time.

Changes
  • The engine sounds for Motherships has been updated.
  • The turret sounds for Motherships and tanks has been updated.
  • The minimum zoom for Mothership turrets has been reduced.
  • The damage type for Quad Wing weapons has been changed from Burn to Electric, in preparation for more general upcoming changes to space combat.
 
Crafting in AG seems to be broken. have relogged multiple times, receiving error: "could not execute"
 
Taming the Karmoosh Aleef
The Karmoosh Aleef pet is a rare pet with an at present unique combination of passive effects:
  • Skill Gain Pet & Taming 10%
  • Decrease Critical Damage 3%
  • Auto Loot 45 Meters
Is that the greatest Auto Loot distance so far? Any pills or items that are higher?
