I have been hearing this song and sounds like Neverdie's style to me(im thinking vu blues but avatar was stolen for the new movie too!, dont spill beer on yer 3d glasses btw), just a female version (i think she is female lol, dont watch the vid just listen to the beginning of the song). Are all my brain cells dead or does anyone agree?

Your brain cells are fried Baby ... not alike at all ... perhaps you need a new headset? ;)

you should prolly go see a doc if you think those a similar o_O

You want copyright infringement that doesn't matter much?

The deposit vault window. When you click it and unclick it, it plays the starcraft bunker sound(I checked it, it is indeed) and the building landing noise, respectively.

which is a sound you buy from a soundbank. ie tons of companies use it.

haha that's the best song of the year :D

Im glad you said that cuz the years only been 3 weeks lol. That song was AWEFUL. I was cringing listening to it hahaha. WoW yuck lol

Starcraft didn't use sounds from a sound bank....

i can promise you they did. Entropia does it too even though they got their own soundguy. Every game uses stuff from soundbanks. I dont think i seen more than a tiny tiny bit of games that i havent heard a sound from somewhere else.

When I first read the thread title, I thought a picture was going to be posted like this...

Sorry ND. Just jokes. ;D

I can say they do too.

For anyone living in the uk.

If you can remember the old sound you used to get when levelling up a proffession to the advert for Shameless. At the very end of the advert the slightly high pitched sound.

Im telling you they are the same.

If your very quiet you can hear it on this :p

Jian!!!!!!

Not even close to my hearing; reminds me more of You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) by Dead or Alive.

I have voted accordingly.

go get your hearing aid soon.
I've bout heared la roux (on radio, quite a hit hear last year) & VU blues about a 100 times; and I can't by any long shot see anything in common between the songs.

btw; the original is kinda weak; but there are some nice remixes out; that made the clubs.
Bulletproof is a really rewarding song to remix btw. It's one of those song made for it. (might been on purpose, god knows nowadays)

This might sound as a shock to some, but all artists are guilty in "borrowing" ideas from someone else. So It's hard to say who's guilty in what now, by now it's just the battle of lawers, whoever got the best lawer "wins" the case...

I think what we should all take away from this thread is that green eye makeup never EVER works.

I'm pretty sure La Roux didn't borrow anything from ND though :)

Copyright infringement cases in music are actually very rare. Usually they are settled out of court after someone admits the infringement, or get dropped. In the (even rarer) cases that make it to court it's usually the expert opinion of a musicologist who holds the most sway, not the lawyers.

In this case a musicologist would certainly say "JIAN!" :D

EDIT: I should clarify that I'm talking about plagiarism cases rather than unauthorised distribution and copying e.g. piracy.

yes!

Like this:

Listen to the first 10sec of: Sundance - Vol2

then check out Fort Minor - Belive Me:

Pretty much the same melody

As with the sound effect mentioned above, this is a royalty-free sample used independently in both tracks, as discussed previously here. So again, no copyright infringement.

LOLWUT?

Ok first - Never heard a song about an actual ingame event before.... other than one of mine... but my style is way different than Neverdies and nobody would have the first clue I was talking about a vid game unless they had played it :) Was kinda cool hearing the song though. Made my inner nerd smile.

But I digress.

These songs arent alike in the slightest. And her eyeshadow made me want to vomit. I simply could not watch the video.

No way!
