Description

This large creature has many characteristic features. The most noticeable are the flaps on its back. It uses these appendages to clearly warn rivals and predators if it feels threatened.

High Density of Old to Old Alpha

There is a high density spawn of mostly Old to Dominant west of Livas (65035, 82775).

The iron challenge was changed to a points-based mission in today's VU. If anyone can post details for any stage and/or the amount of points given for each maturity, that would be useful. I finished it long ago so can't offer anything myself.

Stage IV is 30k points; Stage V is 60k points.

Best guess is that the kill-point targets are 6 x what the kill-number targets were.

Thanks both. We're missing stats for Stalkers too if you have those.

Seems a reasonable assumption, so I've put that into the mission details. If anyone knows better please say so. Point values for Young and Mature would be good too (though I guess it's also fair to assume Young is 6).

Im still trying to find a good dense spawn with Young to guardian, unmixed with other mobs,and untaxed.

But found these 2 spots.

(82638,95782,329).

Low-Medium spawn, with young-guardian. But mixed with some very anoying prancers with crappy hitboxes.


(72046,89574,329).

Medium spawn, with mostly Youngs. But very hilly area can make it defficult to grind fast.

Im still trying to find a good dense spawn with Young to guardian, unmixed with other mobs,and untaxed.

If you haven't already found this spot; I think you might like it.

Can confirm that 36200;53900 North Drakes is still spawning youngs only, unmixed. However I would rate it low density with no more than 3 on radar at any one time.

Also add 63200:82400 from the video above, high density, old-dominant. Has the odd sabakuma(dominant-old alpha) and atrax(young-old) mixed in.

If armour can handle Cornundacauda, then the Atrax/Sabakuma should be no issue.

I can confirm 65200/86100, but it starts with Young. And then I got killed by an Atrax Young that came literally out of nowhere.

Note: I revived at Livas ([64724, 85112, 294])!!!

Confirm that 72000, 89600 is a great location to kill lvl 4 Cornundacauda Young / Mature.

nice density, not mixed, works well for karona's Hunting Task (as an example)

Perfect spot for daily and codex grind. Very high density spawn, does have 2-3 Sabakuma mixed in rarely.
