costs of setting up an event..

I keep thinking about setting up an event, but the cost always puts me off.


the fact that LA owner do free evenst makes it nearly impossible for any one too make an event.. you cant beat free events..

60 peds is the minimal cost..

yeah, i have ran into that same delima. However, if it were cheap or free...imagine all the events and the type of events.....

If i come up with a good enough idea i would possibly pay it, but nothing i have thought of is worht the 60 ped

Think its good it cost something, i always hate it when im hunting somewhere and u get kicked out because theres some event and i usally leave that LA alone for some months..

It can be done quite easily if done right. Of course you will need the 60 PED up front, but I find asking for optional donations afterwards gives you back the cost of the PED and more (the surplus went into our respective soc treasuries).
Though the events I attended were PvP events between my soc and another soc, and everyone knew eachother well enough to want to donate afterwards.

If you set up a land area event independently it's pretty much impossible to cover your costs. An hour-long LA event costs 100 PED to set up, and then you have to add prizes into your total too.

The income from these events isn't just from ticket sales - it's also from increased tax revenue, plus the intangible benefit of promotion and PR for the land.

If you talk to some land-owners you may find they're willing to work with you and help with the costs if you make an event on their area.
