Question: Daily Token CDF Finder z40 (L)

Hey everyone,

the CDF Finder z40 (L) would suit me nicely (SIB level and probes used) for my mining needs. So i did some research and entropedia has no info on number of uses for that one.
But looking at the smaller ones that have the info
z25 with 347 uses (for 200 daily tokens)
z10 with 304 uses (-"- 100 -"-)
i would guess that it will have about 400ish uses.

I think for the steep price of 400 Daily Tokens that is a really super-bad deal -.-

My question to you peoplepersons:
Am i missing something? Or are daily tokens that worthless? i don't grind them, i just do whatever missions suit me at that moment.

It's pre-amped with each drop being 4ped instead of 1ped for "regular" finders and instead of 2 ped compared to the z25.
 
You can compare if it's worth to use or not by calculating mu spent on same per/drop amps.
 
It's 8 PED of MU per D Class Amp (160 TT), 40 uses per amp @ 105%.
So if you're getting 400 uses & dropping ore (80 probes/drop) specifically, that's 80 PED of MU saved, equivalent of buying 10 D Class at TT.

80 PED for 400 daily tokens is... not great

If you do end up buying it please post the decay per use, I was thinking about picking this up.

The pre-amped thingy i knew but had no inkling how to put a price tag on it - i usually craft lvl5 amps myself and slap them on a "normal" finder.

Will give the z40 a try once this Mayhem madness is over and hopefully remember to report back :silly:
 
The weapons last for 20,000 uses without enhancers or extenders.

I assumed it would have a similar long lifespan, please let us know!
 
hey all,

i finally decided to get me a Z40 from the Daily Token trader. Long story short: not even close to worth it in my opinion. Some details:

* It has 4 PED TT and it breaks after 413 uses with 0.0021 PED left, which makes the decay per use 0.0096801453 PED
* with a TIR of 173/4000 it reached Tier 4.13 at point of breakage
* Claim rate of 30ish% was on par compared to statistics [1] with my usual setup [2]
* Loot composition was worse ... much more Lyst, Iron, Niks, Azz than my average [1]
* TT return was worse than average [1] ... 1284 PED TT return in Ores vs 1678 PED spent (1652 probes +22 excavator + X finder (4 PED + 400 Daily Tokens)

[1] i'm aware that 413 drops is hardly a significant sample size.
[2] usual setup TerraMaster 6/7 with Level 5 Amp

Hope this helps others in deciding whether or not it's worth the steep Daily Token price.

Yeah it's hardly worth the tokens that one, better save them for other stuff I guess.
