So I am grinding away LT dominants since the migration started. I have a set of Phantom and I have been using it with Armour Plate 10 to maximise my impact protection. The setup offers 47 impact. Last night I saw a few players using Liakon (slightly lower impact than Phantom) I used this with the Liakon and it seemed to be as good as the phantom with smaller but more regular damage getting through.
I logged off and when I logged back on I was in the middle of 3 mobs. I changed armour to Perseus with no plates (50 impact) Incredibly I took virtually hits on my health with most attacks being deflected.
My question is why is there such a big difference in the protection using un-plated Perseus vs. Phantom with Armour Plate 10 even though the difference in impact protection between the two set ups is only 3 impact.
Am I missing something ?
