I have been playing quite a bit lately, about 6-8 hours a day and it seems as though I don't see near the globals in hunting that I did in past years. I noticed that they seem to be declining, so much so that I took a few months off. When I came back they even seem less than before. I must say though that I have been doing ok but now I am going a bit down hill. That does not bother me that much as I believe in cycles. My big concern is it seems there are many more crafting and mining globals, like 8-10 times as many in the chat window. I don't really like either of those two but thats just me but I know if players slow down hunting then the loot pool goes down and so on and so on. Less hunters means more less hunters because of no loot pool, if you get my meaning. I hope its just a bad cycle for everybody and all will get on a up cycle so hunting will get good again. And BTW I hunt all times during the early morning and even late at night, whenever I can so it is not just during certain times it is all different times days and nights.
Anyway just my thoughts and hope I am just crying wolf and I am completely wrong.
Tell me your thoughts, and also this is not a crying or griping thing just my observations.

The loot system is shit... maybe once they fix it, people will play. All you get is small shit and colonizer L shit every mother******* time

Something about taking all those globals and paying cld holders. Im sure the high MU on skins and oils will make up for it.

I believe less globals in hunting is a result of loot rebalancing for less globals and more smaller loots, giving less wild loot swings.

Personally, since I am not part of the crowd that seems to measure success in number of globals only, I love it.

Surely result of {some ubers} selling out, we are all doomed!
Seriously, what Nighthawk said + we are in between events. As for only looting colonizer armor... I haven't seen any in my loot. Either my loot pool is personal or stop hunting the mobs that drop shit.

It's summer + there are already 5 planets now so you can't see every global + maybe some players didn't survive last robot event  = not so many globals

I know if I said something that I really want ... There will be a "sky is falling comment" ... So I will refrain lol

Yesterday I looted small ESI 70 PED with MU (my first ESI) from fefoid and Isis LR32 120 PED for few minutes hunt. And usualy I loot MF chips, nice pistols and rifles from them (usualy globals), also armors over 50 ped. So hunting loot is great for me.

give it a week or two, it wont

no complaints here :) 10 globals this run.. 100 peds of ammo left! :sniper:

There are more planets now then a few years ago. Globals from other planets then you are on are not visible.

Globaling with mining has become way easier with the big amps that are available. The biggest one gives a global as minimum each time you hit a claim.

Also with crafting there are BP's where each time you have a success you have a global.

Most turnover is still done in hunting. And this will also probably be always the case. Because if hunting was not there the entire economy would collapse due to no demand of L equipment. Which in turn would collapse the mining.

Cheers

Surely result of (edited) not playing, we are all doomed!

getting a bit cocky now arnt we?

clowns like you that think they solo fund game, make me sick and are a reminder of MA babysitted puppets and one more reason not to deposit anylonger

If you think those 2 people that you mention have not contributed greatly to EUs economy youre a fool, and making fun of their choices to stop playing just shows what a clown you are.

Leaving something that youve enjoyed is not a simple decision, even for a small time depositor like myself, and thats why your mocking post gets such a response, now go burn some peds since youre the only one vital for EUs economy

Pff. First thing you say to me, and start with "clowns like you". Who is cocky?
This game has no future if the biggest losers of peds are the ones who keep this place alive. It should not matter how many of them drop off - there were and are big players quitting - they get bored, they go bankrupt, whatever the reason, its their choice. The activity level of middle level is what defines it. However I'm not happy that big spenders are leaving and never said it.
I was mocking the fact that "hunting is down" as {some ubers mentioned} have virtually left the room. I'm not seeing any change in statistical returns. Just try to minimize the voices of "return is <50%" and "roof is falling" etc.

maybe the response was a bit cocky but sometimes a sense of humour helps in this cruel world. I would like you to ask you this question, is someone who is doing something "stupid" over and over on a large scale really contributing to the economy? Is it healthy? If you ask me, the reason we have bigger and bigger guns, tiering and 5K HP mobs that do low damage but need you to cycle ungodly amounts of ped before you have a change at a average return is because of players "asking" for this with their behaviour in game. I dont personally have anything against people spending big, losing big even if they are comfortable with it, but for this game to succeed it would be far better imho to have a larger number of people spending a more normal amount of money in game per month than a few "high rollers", and a 1000 sweaters with little in between (a extreme example).

Another thread for the golden mantra "less than 50% returns" and "i think i see less globals in chat therefore the sky is falling".

The 1st prerequisite for long term success is ability to stay realistic, while simplistic black and white world gives away a hopeless loser.
Be so kind mark up your names in this thread, once again. :tongue2:

Hunting is dead. Long live hunting.

@girtsn, wrong mate, point is MA doesnt do enough to retain their players and you sparkling it does not do any good, you see the point now?

Ive expressed my concerns here on forum a couple of times and the responses in neg rep like, "dude just leave the game if u dont like it" and such are no good.

You don't get nothing for free!

MindArk has a problem. There is a limited number of players who deposit and support the loot pool and the whole damn economy. The rest are non-depositors enjoying a free lunch. I think its time for a subcription fee, $65USD per year like every other MMO out there. At least that way every player has put 600Ped into the system.
Alternatively, only depositors get globals and ATHs. If you don't put anything thing into the game, why the hell should you get a global. It's like my hard earned taxes paying for the unemployed government handouts!

Why wouldn't player get that well deserved global is he or she is smart enough to earn some PED w/o depositing? It's not like they get extra loot or something as the return rate is still the same as everyone else's. :scratch2:

I don't agree..
There's a limited number of players, end of story
What do you think $65 USD subscription will do to the markup of high end items?
What do you think will happen when MA announces this?
How long do you think EU will stay online?
PS. I don't know anyone making a TT profit ingame from looting systems (not talking 'bout LA/CLD owners)

To be fair though, someone who has never deposited has to work very hard to even get started in hunting/mining, let alone make a success of it. I wouldnt quite equate that with the unemployed, though I can see where you are coming from. Personally I dont think MA need to overhaul the whole system, just increase tt returns, which in turn I'd hope will keep more players playing, and longterm increase revenue.

I write simple {removed} :) Now real deal. Mindark is killing game with evry update more and more. Number of globals droped beacuse people who run game made choice and killed argonaut and drone hunt. That 2 mob where most hunted by most players ingame like 90% as most of us dont spend more than 50euro monthly . Second number of players drop. I made poll with my friends 200 of them why dont play anymore like year before. 99% say that returns are crazy low . If all say loot is shit , than that is main reason why people quit. Before you could change profession and do mining runs and cover some lost peds, but in 2012 that just dont work. Data on tracker say also same you have decline of 60% hunting and mining, 40% in crafting. Last month i spent alot peds killing allo and feffs to see for myself is people telling bullshit or loot just sucks. My conclusion was - on evry 300ped i lose MA give me one 60ped global. Last week tried mining (big MU on items) same shit there . 50ped global on 200ped lost :) GL god help you all LOL

P.S. got alot free gifts from MA this weekend to cover some lost peds . ty MA for help :)

I hope, there will appear some PP, who will create "Depositaria". There depositors can hunt mobs "nondepositor" with maturities: "puny" - well, beginners, "sweater", "swunter", "trader", "miner", "crafter", "hunter". They will give exactly 90% loot return. Oh wait...

fact remains, your global happens couse of someone depositing and deserves have nothing to do with it, freeloaders should thank the depsoitors for being able to play the game if anything.
Or you maybe think me as a depositor deserves 50% return on 6k run on svempa with one global?

It would not only keep more players playing, you could attract more players also.
The ones who do play but log off from bad loot would play more hours for the same TT loss (same payment to MA)
& it would be easier to attract new players.
Problem is that MA needs to take the hit 1st & giving a higher TT return now & then screwing it back down would have a huge negative impact so it would be a 1 direction way. If they do increase TT return & there isn't turned over more, MA is screwed & I personally think this is the main factor for not doing it.

but to be realy fair, lets remind ourselves of all the large HOFs that newbies got with TT finder and such, or the big levis ....
