FYI: Dreadnought shooting down friendly ship

With the help of few ships/quads u mean?

Dreadnought has 4 times SI of Bismarck talking bout numbers, and I am not telling Dreadnought is uber SI ship

It's needed team work when solo is not enough, and this is not really showing strenght... Nice slogan, nice signatures btw :)

Actually this is not a case of what could or could not be done... naturally Kronan could take Dreadnought down too. We had greater grew and greater SI afaik. This was jsut a statement from EFA. We protect our own. If we are attacked we will respond in force.

I will not go and take down your ships each time i see because im not same man as you.

Your ship is wellcome to go against my ship anytime you want. The results will be clear to all.

Actually this is not our intention. Infact I already informed my crew yesterday to not shoot you down unless you continue to attack us. If you do we will retaliate naturally. Please stick to facts.

The key of this thread is easy to see, someone just is scary of pvp, since it costs a lot of peds in ammo, since it affects the safety of his service... now everyone should remember that pvp is pvp, and that posting a thread like this is just like telling to your mother one child gave you a punch... come on, where are the balls of this fleet?

Just kill back who attacks you next time, no need to break this peaceful silence with your slogan of revenge, or something is missing?

And this is same for pirate list & Co. threads series... it's time to accept pvp as it is and stop crying like babies at each attack, it's a game, learn how to attack back and stop :wise:

Yes, you're missing something. It's not about complaining or being afraid of PVP, it's about informing the community that Dreadnought, unlike most of the other motherships, is a hostile ship.

Correct, it is good to know who to be wary of, so proper decisions can be made.

Bet the whole affair was planned as a promotion for Goldy's service - look at the length of the thread, it now contains probably one-third of all mentions of Dreadnought on the forum, along with Goldy's signature :D

Not sure that the thing does not backfired, though.

Anyone have problem width that small training ? I not looted anyone so :)
Sometimes need some action and its fun.

Mr Goldy, thank you for informing the community you are not offering reliable MS transport service...

I as interplanetary trader have no intention to use your services

Baba :wise:

Just passing through. Wondering when a forum mod might notice what appears to be a lot of flaming.

just saying..

holy shit, alot of replies here....

question

why does cks attack a ship that has cK coat killers on it everyday ????

why does cks attack a ship that has cK coat killers on it everyday ????

Im a skiller on the Kronan.. so let's rephrase that to : why does cks attack cks?

and the answer is... it's not cks nor ck just as the kronan is not nbk.

But now I've totally changed my mind. I'm sure most players who carry loot in space would do the same. I don't care how much SI your ship has. It's not safe anymore. If you're just going to "shoot ships for fun", why would I trust my loot on your ship, when you could just remove me from GL and shoot me down "for fun."

If you want to run a respectable warp-transport-service, then you have to have a good reputation (because apart from SI, that's the next biggest factor).

Did you take that into consideration Goldy? If u want space action just make a event and see who is interested.

Why pilot of attacked MS needed clarification about how to move and roll in space to spread damage ? Was it his 1st flight or what ?

Indeed it was an unexperienced pilot at the seat who trained during the hunt. (Best way to learn is by doing :)) Unfortunately I was afk for the first half of the attack myself or I would have taken the seat. When I got back that was not an option due to me being overweight :)

*facepalm at the excuses.

it's funny to see how all the anti-pirates keep trolling goldy with this.
i suppose it won't take long before goldy too makes the decision that this community is full of bsers.
Well just for your information goldy, Your welcome at the dark side :) well even bake a cake for u.

It's interesting how things can develop from just a spat in a hunting ground to possibly something else. If the owner of the Dreadnought does decide to rent their ship out for pirating activities, it really does open a new chapter in EU space.

It would be the first mothership with a darkside, probably attract more baddies to the game, with their own repairer crews. It would also mean that schedule flyers could not take chances with minimum repair crews.

Looking in from the sidelines it all sounds exciting to be honest. A bad mothership stalking the heavens for yeeee gold treasure, with a band of good mothership hunting it down thier bounty. Damn I'll be interested with some mothership battles..sounds great.

Let the space wars begin.

Rick.

Wonder how long until regular Motherships start flying with a full fighter squadron ready to launch in case of attack :silly2:

"Red Two, standing by. Lock S-foils in attack position."

The real problem is the investment required for the darkside to really have an impact. It would be a rich pirate to spend $8K - $10k on a ship just to be able to consider pirating, before SI updages and recruiting.

Either there is another way with new ships..or some of the owners of non-used MS rent (via add to captain list), their ships to a band of pirates.

just for the fun factor, good against evil big battles does sound tons of fun. I can imagine being on repair crew holding on for dear life...LOL.

Or even a you say...flying out and just waste a repair on a quad to battle.

Rick

because Space isn't like most other PVP areas. It's /required/ for people who are on Ark and can't sell narc or iron. No one is required to step into PVP on Caly...

So yeah, i'm pretty sure people don't just go into space wanting to start fights. Most of the time they actually have to transport stuff to other planets.

Btw, it's good that the Dreadnought warps pirates. Now there's a new pirate MS :). Imagine the attention that'll gain with the Knights :D

PVP is PVP. No one gets to define it. You can't carebear space. I mine on RT and use Normandie for transport of ores. I do that because Normandie has huge SI and if it's attacked I have plenty of time to log out, if necessary. If another ship attacks, I don't go cry on forum, and I don't even care if there are cK on the other ship(s). And guess what, if it weren't for the risk, I wouldn't have to use these services, there would be no need and motherships would just be glorified hunting/skilling platforms.

Stop saying we are the good guys and those other people are the bad guys, it's just different ways to play the game. You go into any pvp you should accept that someone may take shots at you.

Stop making this soc vs soc btw, I don't think that is a good idea...

This thread is Space Drama Certified !

Nahhh, there has always been a few Pirate or shall we say... less than 100% amicable motherships around, since day dot. Its actually only been recently when there hasnt been one or two!

Ah.... memories... Back in the day when space was small and trouble was always less than 1 au away... there were many fun MS battles.

The trouble with Mothership battles is its a bit like two elephants fighting. Sure sounds exciting, but in reality isnt particularly glamorous.

Its already being done :) have has been for a long long time. :)

Its one of the ways to get around the pirates abusing the range bug :)

Revenge had a pirate crew for a while and some decent SI. But with quads being faster and more agile, it seemed the pirates didnt take her into battle so often. There was a starfinder too iirc, who used to camp the atmosphere.

I'm just wondering, do they teach reading comprehension where you live?

Reason I ask, if you look at the screen shots provided, goldy attacked an innocent ship simply to "claim" an area of space.

The EFA ships responded not to be bullies, but in fact to fight a bully. I know that might be a hard concept for you, so I'm going to make a little flow chart.

Dreadnaught attacks Kronan> SBI confronts Goldy on why> Goldy says because dropships are his> EFA responds in force.

there hope that clears it up for you. Next time I will try to use smaller words.

Lol, I do not think you understand.

That is my point, why are EFA trying to run space.

Rich or stupid when you consider that "pirating" here isn't realy pirating as any threat in space is easily avoidable ( log off bug).

Moreover with just few MS out there invisting in one is way less eficient than gearing up for regular pvp planetside.

Take a lesson out of this MA.....

Keep mob spawns in space sparse but valuable (Profitable), this can (if done right) increase competitiveness between ships leading to factions fighting for control of various hunting grounds/landarea's in space. Fighting for and loosing grounds and regions over time as the dynamics of space evolves through players actions. Competition for customers is not enough ^^ Use the mob to facilitate part of the next phase.

And gg on Mandie for taking the initiative and involving the player base in solving the Delay efforts BlackSky and our associates have initiated on your ship for some time now. I know we at BlackSky Alliance look forward to thorning your and other services soon again with new initiatives......challenges are fun aren't they :)

I happily remember our two elephants (Normandie and Kronan) dancing together way back at the start of things! :D

You know how puppies like to roll over on their tummies? It takes a bit longer with elephants!

It'd be nice if MSs got tactical manouevering updates some time and not just massive SI, but then again the MSs are really the 'aircraft carriers' of space - not meant for quick action...

If you look at the space battles in Star Wars, you'll notice the large ships do not move much :) they mostly bombard eachother from a distance while the fighters/bombers/interceptors/etc fly around and between them, fighting eachother while trying to get close enough to score a hit on some weak point in the larger ships :)

The only difference is that in Star Wars...the fighters don't re-spawn ;)

Would also be cool if Karma changed the color of the energy beams fired off by the guns of the ships like in Star Wars.
