EBN Breaking News: Violent Impact near Atlas Haven

The Calypso Defense Force (CDF) has issued an official warning to all colonists as the previously hijacked Solar-9 transport vessel tragically crash-landed south of major settlement Atlas Haven earlier today, and was promptly seized by Umbranoid fighters.

In a surprising development, the ship did not slow down or attempt to evade orbital sensors as it approached Calypso; instead ploughing through the atmosphere in an uncontrolled descent, the suboptimal angle and erratic movements ripping parts from the hull as it tumbled to the surface and struck the Limnadian ridge at high speed.

Based on movement patterns CDF analysts believe that this seeming loss of control and subsequent crash was either due to the pirates having caused more damage to the ship than anticipated, or from some of the crew attempting to regain control of the ship.

Sources in the CDF also tell us that troopers and emergency rescue services were on standby and ready to move in to secure the ship, but that before they could reach the crash site it was discovered that a group of Umbranoid warriors had somehow already opened an Orb and seized control of the wreckage and surrounding area.

This region has now been placed under strict surveillance, and a warning has been issued urging colonists to exercise extreme caution.

Calypso Authorities have also confirmed that these Umbranoid likely belong to a different group than the tribe that previously settled on the Eudorian west coast. This new faction appears to be more socially and technologically advanced, and may now also be armed with advanced armor and weaponry looted from the Solar-9 wreckage.

I heard space got nice update recycling tailings now give you shiny green ammo 🤣

Is this event going to end soon, or is it permanent? You drop it together with the snow base and I don't know where to go.

It's a repeat of the vile star event

Are there any new AI missions for this new group of umbranoids? if so anyone know the coordinates?

Yes, closer to tp, next to container

Thanks! I found 2, one takes mutant coins, and the other one gives a mission. Both around the TP. Any other NPCs ?

So now the warlock's can
shoot through walls drive themselves through walls in the service house in atlas heaven
thanks for that MA

That's normal during events.

Turrets wont kill event mobs.

Haven* 🙂

Ok but npc walkin through texture to shoot is just bullshit and game design from 1994, but you can't expect anything else in entropia obvs.

Anyone know what types of damage the Umbranoids do?

Has anyone even looted any Umbranoid Crystal Emitter yet?

Still no market history, seems like an extremely rare drop..

It's untradeable so get to hunting if you wanna craft or make a helmet crate

Someone else told me this in the game but I wasn't sure since there is no statement in the "View Information" panel about it not being tradeable, also there is a market history button. Usually that means it's tradeable.

Also, I asked the AI in the game and here's was the answer:

index.php

"... OR THROUGH TRADE WITH ANOTHER COLONIST."

I don't think MA is doing this on purpose to throw people off, what would be the point... So, the question then becomes: Why is MindArk SO GOD DAMN BAD AT THEIR JOB?

There’s a thing on the top left why tells you not to believe the ai

Fair enough but what about the other contradicting facts: the market history and the lack of a statement saying the item is not tradeable?
