Added a one-minute cool-down period after spawning vehicles.

I assume this is some kind ofattempt at a fix to stop VTOL exploiting, but MA completely not understanding a thing....
To stop the VTOL exploting you need to delay entering a vehicle, not delay spawning the vehicle, which could be done 1 hour before.

seems to me after each vu new bugs appear, new crashes etc.. i really want to know what the "Improved client stability" means...

About the VTOL cool-down: Maybe it does stop the exploiters somehow but the news item is poorly written. Please let it be poorly written! The question is: Cool-down on what? Not being attackable maybe? Still you could enter your VTOL and fly straight up.

but hey servers are not back online yet, so attention, MA has still some time to fuck something up :silly2:

maybe we will get an idea when we will get the next old feature back?! (just dreaming) i know till the end of the year, but to be honest if the introduce updates in frequenzy the wont have made it till there
 
Grace Period

We have implemented a grace period after logging in or teleporting. During this time you do not attract mobs and cannot be damaged by them or other participants. The grace period is stopped after 45 seconds or if you move, use a tool, equip a garment or a tool.
This period is visualized with an effect.
If you are trying to damage a participant who is in this grace period you will trigger the damage text Unreachable and a chat message that this participant cannot be damaged right now.

hah! no more dieing after teleporting becuase there were mobs at the place of teleport that could hit me before i could shoot them or at least fap. very nice :yay:

  • Improved creatures AI in general. Also activated special AI behavior on the Feffoids.
Future Features - Implemented but not Activated

This category includes information on new features and systems that MindArk has included in the platform with this release. This means that our Planet Partners now can choose to include the following features on their planets:
  • Added functions for caves; possible to enable spawning of creatures and mining claims in caves. <- Interesting
  • Special AI behavior on creatures can be set.

Ahem! So ... on one hand there can now be different AI setting for mobs that is NOT activated and on the other hand, Feffoids already got it? Somebody didn't keep their eye on Feffoids and they sneaked away with a stealth upgrade! General mob AI improvements sound intersting as it is, but I'm left wondering what will be new with Feffs. Somebody please report any findings!

Caves sounds very interesting indeed.

This is so that the VTOL mob hunting exploit no longer works. Another one of the fixes that has been suggested times and times again here in the forum.

Overall, sounds very very nice release, nothing major but a lot of changes we have been waiting for with some suprises that further the platform thrown in.

You can not spawn a lot of vehicles at once any more.... just one and then a 1 min pause before next can be spawn.

So VTOL hunting can still be done

So basically a dash of good useful things, a basket of shit nobody really cares about and a truckload of fixes that just make the game more annoying to play.

You can get in a vehicle straight away when you've spawned it (happens straight away too) BUT the delay is spawning the vehicle again after picking it up:

So that is just because vehicles can be hotkeyed ... So spawning them constantly would cause lots of lag.
 
Gah! So no fix for the exploit yet. If they didn't state in a letter that it's really an exploit and didn't ban an exploiter I would start to think they don't care.

Claims appear on radar... Finally, after 5 years, i can mine for "real" now. Nice little update.

Claims appear provided you don't get the NRF bug after crossing a server boundary.

MA have had nearly 6 months now to fix this.

I'm not mining again until they fix it. At least my current Support Case reminding them about it hasn't been closed yet, so there might be some hope they are working on it.

Nothing in this Release justifies naming it as 11.9.0 - just a lot of small trivial changes.
 
Been looking forward to this mining improvement but what a totaly pointless waste of time :(

1) Claim on radar: Only shows up at about 80m not the full radar, and dot is so big you can't pinpoint the claim in bad terrain. FIX: show claim at max range of radar and make it normal size dot of different color to mobs.

2) Summon Claims: You can only summon claims from about 55m. So unless u need to get it from a mountain or from a very low agro big mob it's totaly useless as you can run that distance in a couple of seconds. FIX: Make range MUCH further, preferably unlimited.

3) You can only summon one claim at a time, so if you dreamed of doing a mining run then digging all your claims forget about it. If you get 60 claims on a big run it would take half an hour to summon them all even if range was unlimited. FIX: give us a summon all button

very, very, very dissapointed - i'd hoped for so much more :(

I actually like this all claims should be unknown until you finish mining (Including globals/hofs like the good old days) adds a bit of a surprise to mining :)

Yea lets make the range unlimited I can do a massive carpet bomb run and then go back to the city and summon all my claims to me :)

Nah they nerfed Feffoids hunting. The special Ai is Special stupid only thing it does is move when it attacks so no more auto shooting.

Hey MA and SDS if you implemented this Special AI into all mobs .. guess what I go chip out as grinding is impossible then


OH wait now I get it. Force and Daisy proably made the SPECIAL AI ....makes sense the move around when they attack to in a ciircle
 
Easy enough to disable the recall system in pvp, just make it so you have to mine as normal.

I don't think the intent was so you could summon all your claims at the end of a mining run, although that would be nice. I think this is just so you can retrieve unreachable claims.
