Fixes

Changes

  • Decreased attached mining laser decay by 78%
  • Increased attached mining laser ammo consumption by 6%
    • DMG/pec remains the same, but the items will last longer
  • Increased mining laser debuff duration from 4 seconds to 5 seconds
  • Decreased amount of Nanocubes needed for crafting Recycling Scrip from 100 to 5
  • Decreased crafting costs of Kismet Chamrosh (L) so that the costs aren’t greater than the resulting item
  • Howling Mine Terminal: Removed invisible colliders left over from previously removed signposts at landing pads
  • Privateer Interior: Added 6 additional Gunner Seats, so that all Privateer turrets can now be manned simultaneously
  • Prospector Interior: Added 4 additional Gunner Seats, so that all Prospector turrets can now be manned simultaneously
  • Teleporter in Prospector is now correctly named “Prospector - Teleporter”
  • Creature information now only shows the resistance the creature possesses

Known Issues
  • Teleporters in Asteroid F.O.M.A, Crystal Palace, and Monria still experience the bug where you can teleport to the same teleporter you are using
  • Some players are unable to see their Codex progression of asteroids
  • Kills as Creature and Player Kills in Hall of Fame displaying additional numbers on entries
  • All health bars appear red
  • Space map “H” feature and ship location are not working correctly

MindArk and the Planet Partners strive to ensure a smooth and problem-free Version Update. Nevertheless, even after extensive testing some issues may arise after release. Such issues are often addressed via mini-patches directly after a release and in subsequent patches. If you feel that the possibility of encountering minor issues or bugs directly after a Version Update affects your gameplay to an extent that Entropia Universe is not enjoyable, please wait until the mini-patches have been released and any last minute issues have been resolved.

So, how much did it cost just to explore this new frontier, good thing we weren't travelling with the Donner Party I guess. Things could have been worse!
 
The fact that both TT mining lasers now last a lot longer is great! Particularly the A type. (y)
 
...so the scrip crafting just got 20 times slower, and still consumes frags on every click?
You really are going for balancing on the fly, aren't you? And not just tweaks, either!
Do you mean less decay on ALL of the 2 types available? At least ones with mu will last longer.

How long to go before the next MAJOR adjustment to our gameplay? Que sera sera? Will it be astral drops, narc or the morph, we'll have to wait and see!

Removing the excavator boost entirely is BS. I paid a lot of USD to obtain this sack and now I’m being robbed of the benefits I paid for. Even the developers stated it was meant to be there, yet here you guys go taking it completely away. Am I getting a refund on all the money I spent or is this the process of pushing more players away?
 
I second the above. Seems we are just ignoring the fact the the RuckSack excavation speed increase was clearly identified as intended in Cyrene VU Notes. First a feature now a bug? Real kick in the nuts for anybody that either spent ~3 months mining Clear Crystal or ponied up 2-2.5k%. Not to mention everything else you need to do. Essentially makes this a 7-9k Ped avatar bound item. I don't see how this is unfair and needed to be "fixed".


 
I have christmas 2016 ring for 25% rare mining finds boost that i paid a fortune for so didn't need the rucksack... i seen that this was intended that the excavation speed boost was part of the game in release notes. SO now that i see its not a bug i spent the last 3 months straight 10-12 hours plus per day grinding clear crystal to get this (my whole time i get off from work to play like crazy). JUST finally get the rucksack a week or 2 ago solely for for that excavation speed boost and it's taken away entirely? I understand the couple of people are mad that their 4k yog horror pet losing a little value because of this, but 3 months nonstop is worth far more than $400 to me not to mention this rucksack sell for 10k improved and isnt even sellable later. IT was boring as shit, worst experience of my life with Russian brand new alts everywhere fighting them over it (who shouldn't even be in the game) but the reward was far worth it to me so i did it and FINALLY am rewarded WOOT for 1 week then gone. What the hell is going on over there at MA jeeeeez. Put 25% speed boost on the dam rucksack, fix the dam loot table on space mining and cap it VERY low if it's not even going to use these resources for lasers, better yet make the laser blueprints USE the resources while also capping it very low 6.60p of redulite per hour max total that every1 shares and fights over etc., and please for the love of god and mankind do NOT be stupid enough to make unlimited or even exceptional limited lasers and learn your lesson.

I am considering buying another 8 GB so I could potentially mine for a full two hours (2 skill pills) before relogging. Is everyone else working properly with no memory leaks?

Have you tried to disable game sounds?

I am considering buying another 8 GB so I could potentially mine for a full two hours (2 skill pills) before relogging. Is everyone else working properly with no memory leaks?
i still crash but for me its vram rising until it kicks me out as long as im not in howling i last 4x longer ~4 hours

This should be the last reason to upgrade hardware, knowing some software is flawed. Unless you have other reasons for doing so, I'd just wait until it gets fixed. After all, less activity is a loss for them and going above and beyond for taking the burden off them is, well, you judge for yourself.

A common mistake developers make is that managements believe they have to give their coders top-end equipment. The opposite is true, software should be created on the lowest-spec machinery that customers are expected to use. This way such errors are caught much earlier.

the memory leak was solved, i've played last night for about 5 hours straight , no crash, memory was steady

I just crashed to desktop at 16 GB memory used a few minutes ago. Sound is off. Latest Entropia patches. latest Nvidia drivers and latest Win 10 patches. I was mining for about 90 minutes.

This should be the last reason to upgrade hardware, knowing some software is flawed.
Agreed. But we must adapt.

This is insane, I feel so bad cause after that announcement from Cyrene team I advice many of my friends to make this mission cause this excavation buff is useful for a miner.
This is without precedent... they introduce this buff, ppl anounce it on the forum. Cyrene declare it as a feature and now we get the info it was a BUG....

I agree with you, but preventing a large chunk of the botting would also mean less activity initially, and yet be a good thing longer term.

The memory leak is not entirely fixed, as I found out yesterday after this patch. Was simply in space, mining asteroids, low activity in the area.

There's a nerf to the rucksack that is probably extremely annoying to those who spent many hours (and peds?) invested in getting one. It affects mining excavation, I believe, so at a time when the new space update is already seriously affecting mining planetside.

The change to the scrip bp may have come from stupid balancing in the version that got released, but if people wish to craft via auto, then they still can. It won't really slow them down, as they wouldn't want to craft 100ks of the stuff anyway. I did some manually, which was admittedly fast, and out of balance with getting a scrip (one) in the daily rewards. But that imbalance is still there anyway for people who just buy 1k (a year or so of dailies) for 12-15 peds at the AH. Demand for scips will tank very soon surely anyway...

It is a complete and utter mess beneath the hood, that various patches have definitely not tackled successfully. A different issue has also resurfaced that more players are now aware of, but can do little about. It already confused me years ago, but it was just something a little confusing now and then, and I assumed it was my mistake until reading about it when it became more widely known, which is ages ago.

That is a HUGE pity, as there is/was stuff in the space vu a week ago that was pretty nice. I like flying slowly around an object to see a planet, a moon and an SS slowly appear in the darkness. I like the addition of more activity in space. I like the free trip down to planets via the SS now. I like the lauch to space icon that was added.

But why allow such ineptitude to flourish at the same time? It truly IS killing my desire to get involved in anything new, such as a fourth looter prof and more teamplay maybe and a different crafting field etc..

Edit: it could have been new mats from space, to feed building the new crafted ships, for example. I like the look of the prospector, but I'm VERY unsure about the maths (i.e. costs) balancing on its longevity.
Again, this is balancing with the nuance of a sledge hammer, it appears. My quad has lasted me something like a decade, so I'm not against stuff decaying more - but THIS on a big and presumably high mu ship that may be involved in much more 'damaging' action out in pvp???!!!

I did invest money in my mining gear only to have a chance to claim the best MU materials
I did invest in tiering a lot to become a ultimate miner.
I did invest in skills to be on the top of the hill.

And for what?

Wasn’t it that the Rucksacks provided way way higher reload in practice than what was intended? And that bugged extra reload speed is now fixed. Or did MA also remove the 10%, 15% and 20% ”intended” reload buffs?

WIth Rucksacks or not the excavation speed have the same speed. Even Yog horror dont show so much speed that is was in past.
They make the excavation speed on rucksack 0.

Zyn Rucksack wasn't designed to give excavator's speed but it happen so until it got fixed was ok to use the item after completing the mission. - this was based from what I have understood from my support case response and PCF official response.

I run out of memory with 16 GB of RAM. I am considering buying another 8 GB
If you have 16GB it should be 2x8 (or 1x16 but usually RAM are on 2 slot)
whatever the case is you should always upgrade
- the exact same RAM you already have
- and install 2 slot, so here 2x8 you already have in slot 1&3, the new 2x8 into 2&4
never ever mix brand and RAM type, and always double the capacity (if you keep the "old" RAM)
 
If there was a mistake between MindArk and other Planet Parteners is not players problems to pay the errors that others are doing.
I am a proud owner of Yog Horror.
In the first day of owning the Zyn Rucksack, I did ask Support center if is a exploit/bug or is a new feature.
Like all the time , standard bullshit and close.
Asking Cyrene official member to let me know what is this.
To see 10% , 15%, 20% excavation speed made me to go and finish the missions to obtain more power in my mining sessions.
We are not kids playing in the back of the garden.
The lack of information what MindArk give us bring us to a lot of trouble and shity moves.

I never get something here by using exploits/bots/alts or any other moves.
Everything was done with hard work and hard depositing.

I also lost when Zyn backpack was not working with my Yog.

But yeah, the fouls who pay can be burned and the smarts who exploit the system can let be free and do much more trouble here

you have not seen cyrene forum thread with devs? imp have be +20% speed but they made mistake and give +200% i think
yesterday they made +0%
