Entropia Universe - Now Launching on Steam​


Today we are proud to officially announce that Entropia Universe is expecting to release on Steam on the 22nd of July. You can find our store page here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3642750/Entropia_Universe/


Steam offers a huge visibility and ease of access to potential new players, and is part of our strategy to bring many more players into Entropia Universe - in conjunction with our new onboarding experience releasing in September.


For our existing players - you can continue as usual using your existing game client - though of course you may wish to use the steam version instead. We also hope to see your support on steam to help bring more colonists into our community.


Speaking of community, you will be able to use our dedicated Community Area on steam here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/3642750 which can be used for sharing screenshots, discussions, guides and more.


We look forward to welcoming new players, and continuing to grow and improve Entropia Universe.

This is fantastic news!! Although I would have thought waiting for the new starter area to be ready would have been a better way to go? Would be better to retain those new players who are giving it a go.
 
DLC packages, maximize ur earnings with "services" and not tt related self sabotaging accounting nigtmare ingame items. plenty of examples to learn from like star citizens etc, sell ul low tt vechiles of all type, dlc packages with all kinds of boost pills, skill pills etc which shouldnt effect the rce tt aspect of the game. This is ur chance to earn some serious money for the developers and not just keep ending us in the "loot pool"
 
PLEASE Mindark!, make a better description of the game on Steam! Now it says: 'Players are able to hunt and kill other creatures and players' Huh? Are you (the AI?) joking? Is that all we can do in the game? Come on! Be serious!

Seems very ballsy. ill be watching the reviews on https://steam250.com/bottom100. my bet would be PE will leave steam by august.

Tho I guess new players won't know about the long history of shitty failed promises, money grabs [Moderated: Removed rule violation], not even mentioning the, on steam, much hated pay to win, or stealing via RCE PVP - Im almost certain all the people you (MA) fucked over, over the years, will leave negative reviews. And even if PE doesn't get #1 due to old disgruntled players, new players will find out about all the bugs, bad UI, performance, second rate graphics and overwhelming bot presence pretty quickly themselves.

I mean, I guess I hope all my stuff goes up in value again due to new players but piling onto old resentments, recent trends leave me very much disillusioned.

Edit: of course the moderators edited the language... fine, some examples of "rug pulls" (better?) include: changing stats on items that cost people thousands of dollars between announcement and release (SWINE TWEN), (L) items (vehicle) being advertised as unL in web shop just this week (last?), changing item pull costs for mayhem multiple times, changing mayhem in general (you advertised/promised one thing, then changed things after the fact), resource mayhem, affiliate eggs, people cheating with the gems during RM you didnt punish much, cheaters and bug abusers in old mayhem format you didn't punish at all, ComPet, Harvesting/housing, Voting (very old, sorry but still annoyed), the egg, space transport missions - just to name the tiny amount I can come up with off the top of my head.

Maybe the game is on its way to change / Maybe it will start offering afordable playble options - or not we will have to wait and see. Its a great idea but its all about how it gets implemented. Just lauching on steam without anything being changed way how the economy work - wont do any difference
 
In my opinion, EU isn't ready.
And the internet will BAIN the crap out of it.
Can foresee an "Overwhelmingly negative" future... I think you're underestimating the hoard mentality of the steam community. I've been there since it's literal inception.
Remember, the first thing a LOT of people will do while downloading, is youtube entropia, and watch the biggest videos about our universe, which are almost all extremely negative and sarcastic in tone.

Hopefully at the least, it brings in tonnes of rose-tinted-glasses wearing kids who think they'll get rich using moms card to gamble legally though, even if only momentarily.
I guess, even if we get an extra 500 people that's like a 10-20% increase in playerbase already LOL so that would be a good thing I suppose.

Would've been smarter to get UE5 done first, and this makes me wonder if it's even a priority anymore.

While it is nice seeing EU on steam, i just hope has been well thought through.

The steam community are good, however they can also be honest to the point of brutality. Recently a game i used to play A LOT (over 6k hours) relaunched in what i would describe as a rushed and under delivering manner, result server pop drop from 1.5k to little over 400 in like 7 weeks. Also ofc game has been review bombed to hell and back as a result (and tbh they have solid points/reasons for bad reviews).

I hope EU can win people over, good luck.

We aint in Kansas anymore.

It's also worth noting that the Steam comment section does not get moderated the same way PCF does, whatever that may bring.
