Fruit drops silently nerfed?

I have been mining a bit last couple of days at Calypso, and last 8-9 fruit finds was exactly 9x of fruit. I am hearing other people finding the same quantity at Calypso as well, so is this a bug or fruit drops are silently nerfed for some weird reason?

Nope, this just means you need to travel more and there are too many people on that server.

The "default find" is server-specific, for example on both RT servers it's 23. (You can occasionally find fewer as well though)

How often you find quantities different from default is clearly dependent on user activity (on busy servers you indeed find the default quantity or close to that most of the time).

ark is pretty busy now and fruit finds are still 100+ very frequently

Btw fruit walking is probably best profitable profession at the moment.
