I looted a full TT ESI from a late Sunday night hunt(May 13) on a Charybdis, as the crowd was thinning out quite a lot. I believe the total loot from that Charybdis was 1650 something TT. It was also going to be my last group hunt of the night.
I agree with other people who think that DPS has a lot to to with who gets items on the shared loot hunts; but to those who think that it's only the ubers who always get items, I will mention that the gun I was using was a Tier 1 Camo Arms Urban Stalker, which is not anyone's idea of a massively powerful rifle. Not anymore, anyway, with all the more powerful (L) rifles available. Most of my shared loots prior to looting that item were very small; ~1-8% of the total; and no items. I think that I just happened to be putting in the most DPS in that thinning crowd, at a moment when MA's servers decided to drop a big ESI.
I'm posting this not to get congratulations from people, but because I believe that EU players should know what items are dropping, from what mobs, and ideally, who looted what items.
The cult of secrecy about who got what big item is not a very bright strategy long-term, because while it may boost the sales value short-term, I think it demoralizes many begining and intermediate players. Without that information, they have no useful knowledge to base their own strategy on; and they have no idea whether they are wasting their time and money with no hope of getting anything worthwhile.
I think we all know that for our own longterm satisfaction with this game, we need for those groups to be grinning with enthusiam, and growing.
