Description

In spite of its mushroom-shaped appearance the so called fungoid is actually a land-going hyrdozoan, bright red and quite conspicuos as it moves in great leaps and bounds through the bush-land. When approached it will eject a thick cloud of nematocysts that will inflict painful stings in contact with the skin.
