📁 If you have not noticed it already, a Genesis folder has been added to the Planet Data section.
No content so far.

Pleaseee MA no more planets or moons! Make existing planets and moons more polished, more content etc with those resources. Is the goal to have about 10 players per planet or what?

The planet data section only exists for the client and not for Steam version, right? :scratch2:

That’s just a remnant of the old start area from 2012 when you would make your avatar and hangout while the game downloaded so you could play while the larger download happened. A way to retain new players. It had that big pool and stuff i believe they have a clone of it on Arkadia now

i suppose they had an auctioneer there too, so these newly created avatars could hang out in the pool doing auctions.

Just a reminder of the OG announcement
Note: my own highlights for the important bits

Behind the scenes, MindArk developers have been working on a top-secret initiative known as The Genesis Probe. Looking ahead, Genesis Probes will become available to all participants within the Entropia Universe, granting the opportunity to create fully functional planets of their own. This expansive vision for user-generated content aims to support sustained population growth—mirroring the increasing global interest in virtual worlds and metaverses.

Upon the official release, players will be able to manufacture and launch Genesis Probes to discover and customize and terraform new planets. A dedicated interface will facilitate the design process, from initial prompt-based creation to ongoing updates and refinements. Newly formed planets will be automatically deeded to their creators, who may opt to add these deeds to the Entropia Exchange if they wish.

Planet Calypso, ROCKtropia, Next Island, ARIS, Monria, Howling Mine and Secret Island will all adopt the Genesis Project technology. However, any existing planet that elects not to transition to the new development tools will face a cataclysmic extinction event within four years ( Hold Over Period). Players holding deeds or items from planets choosing not to transition will be offered compensation options via other participating planets.
