You were too quick hitting replyThrow some profession/skill requirements in there also.

I don't think there will be any choices here, it will become a new item so TiR will probably be generated again,If we are going to entertain the thought of refining it to a different gender the cost should be high
and the tier rate should stay the same with tiers being reset to 0.
Movie Star, Rock Star, Pop start dust on RTDoubt they'll ever change or implement this, but if they were going to implement this type of thing, here's what I would suggest
Introduce a new, rare crafting material 'Star Dust' obtainable only from asteroids. Star dust would be used in an L bp recipe to create 'MorphFlex'. Morphflex + single piece of armor in refiner = changes F->M & M->F
Was literally just posting something like this lol
Armor will become interesting again when MA gives players of all levels a reason to use it.I don't think there will be any choices here, it will become a new item so TiR will probably be generated again,
and ofc tier will be at 0.
MU will probably even out quite soon, and who knows, might even increase in certain armor since now all of a sudden some
armor will be interesting again?
I guess we all play differently, even prepare our own set ups differently depending on mob and target, I tryArmor will become interesting again when MA gives players of all levels a reason to use it.
I have not used armor in the last 5 years of play outside of running a few tests.I guess we all play differently, even prepare our own set ups differently depending on mob and target, I try
to use armor as much as possible.
Imo it's a balance in the entire set up since you do interact with a target, offensive or defensive doesn't matter.
I guess you aren't effected that much by this idea then?I have not used armor in the last 5 years of play outside of running a few tests.
Then why do you care so much?I have not used armor in the last 5 years of play outside of running a few tests.
I have not used armor in the last 5 years of play outside of running a few tests.
Because guys...your changing the fundamental parts of the game. Then why do you care so much?
Not really, I'm here to actually play the game, using items has higher prio than using it as a part of a trading simulator.Because guys...your changing the fundamental parts of the game.
I care about those peeps out there that are going to lose MU over night holding the (M) versions of armor.
I care about maintaining the essence of the game the way it is.
There is really no problem having (F)/(M) variants. Changing this will instantly double the available armor in the market.
Markup WILL drop. People WILL lose money to make armor more available.
Also there are players out there who rolled a female character with the sole intent of taking advantage
of the difference in Markup for Female armor sets.
Doesn't making this change with all the possible implications to markup bother anyone else?! It is fucked up.
Great that is you. Also, I think you are oversimplifying it being a 'trading simulator'. Everything in the game is linked to the market. Not really, I'm here to actually play the game, using items has higher prio than using it as a part of a trading simulator.
I go by the rule "Never deposit more than you can lose", that also includes ingame values, even though they have
zero RL value, just another monopoly currency.
I also accept I don't own anything ingame, and MA owns everything ingame. Few seem to understand part 3 in EULA imo.
All this is a challenge on its own, figuring out when to do what and not.
Devaluation and overvaluing are just parts of the game, changes comes and some I might "hate" and others are ok. Just a part of the progress.
I do what and follow what MA said themselves:
Users are engaged not only by traditional computer game entertainment but also by the potential to earn money through revenue-generating activities.
I joined the summer of 2003. Even took some day to figure out the RCE part, I joined due to the ISP MA had then,Great that is you. Also, I think you are oversimplifying it being a 'trading simulator'. Everything in the game is linked to the market.
Sure you can out right ignore the market, depo and pay it no mind while people profit off you. That is your prerogative.
Also...playing the market, trading, markup IS playing the game.
When did you join Entropia again? Pretty basic stuff. Would think you'd know this having played the game since 2005.
But maybe you paid it no mind. If that is the case you are definitely in the minority.
"Never deposit more than you can lose" is acceptable when you lose it due to game mechanics and not player driven changes to the game itself.
Nice. I am with you. I have never withdrawn and very likely never will.I joined the summer of 2003. Even took some day to figure out the RCE part, I joined due to the ISP MA had then,
they suggested us to try it out. I waited for SWG to be released so I should only try it some month or so, and yeah...
Yeah I have had my share of depos, but also MU from trades.
When I sell something I always put away anything above tt, and probably sell a bit lower than I should, with the exception
if I sell to a friend, they can even have the stuff for TT if I see what it can help out with.
Goal was never to withdraw, even though I have done some small ones. Goal was to build values ingame to be able to
play and if needed I could do a withdraw.
6½ parts of my Angel set, LC-300, Imp hedoc, Adj V1, some UL vehicles, some hundred deeds and a ton of small stuff
and a lot of tier increase is from MU I got from selling stuff. So yeah I do get the trading part.
EDIT: Reason why I can accept the 100% loss of RL value in a deposit and also see zero RL value ingame is due to I accept
how it is, even though MA is a "bit" vague in describing it clearly.
Ok, well I'm more on the other side hereNice. I am with you. I have never withdrawn and very likely never will.
But I would like to keep my items markup high enough so if I ever chose to that I could.
I mean part of the fun is knowing you have valuable stuff.
If Gold was as common as dirt nobody would care how shiny it is.
Rare/High MU stuff is fun to have! Just like an expensive classic car. Never gonna sell it but its nice to own something valuable.
Oh agreed! I wouldn't buy something that wasn't useful (well accept for that damn expensive scanner).Ok, well I'm more on the other side hereI like to own stuff that are useful for my gameplay, no matter what the MU is.
And watch out there so you don't get stuck in that thinking, because that is a red flag for narcissism, overvauling wealth,
money and material things.![]()
Ah ok, yeah good to keep it for the right reason.Oh agreed! I wouldn't buy something that wasn't useful (well accept for that damn expensive scanner).
If the thinking was to show off and prod yourself around as the cock of the walk I would agree with you.
I am just a collector of rare and neat stuff. No different than a stamp collection.
Except much much more useful than a stamp collection lmao.
What separates EU from any other MMORPG game is the fact that what we own HAS value.
No other game can give me that and if EU stopped I would cease to play as it would cease being worth my time.
Ah ok, yeah good to keep it for the right reason.
But as long as it is ingame it actually have zero RL value, and no we don't own any thing really.
It was in part 2 of EULA, not 3, I blame my bad memory for it:

Yeah and imo its actually a good thing we don't have any anknowledgement of RL values ingame, some features that areBoiler Plate doesn't mean that we cannot think of it as having RL value.
Yes it is 'assumed' RL value as it has not yet been sold or withdrawn. This is no different than any currency of the world.
The value of the 'paper' of the currency is not the setting factor of it's value.
BUT as long as the value that players GIVE to items still exists, the items value is not cheapened and MA continues to process withdrawals all items WILL have a RL 'expected' or 'assumed' value
Agreed. Been trying to explain this to all the Mayhem token holders who are about to get the shaft.Yeah and imo its actually a good thing we don't have any anknowledgement of RL values ingame, some features that are
already in a kind of greay zone for excistence, would probaly have to go if we did have a RL value ingame (pvp lootable is one).
I guess I quote MA again and highlight a very important thing according to this:
Users are engaged not only by traditional computer game entertainment but also by the potential to earn money through revenue-generating activities.
There are no garantuess that a withdraw will be accepted, but I guess as long game runs as it should, it will be no problem
as long as we have followed rules and so on.![]()
