Question: Gold card reader went Kaput!

ok so i dropped it on the floor a couple of times and now its pretty much dead, ive ordered another one via the entropia site. Hoping that my shipping info is the right one since I need a goldcard number to verify that info.

When i get the reader, I just insert my card in it and type the first numbers i see? or need to generate a few combinations and send them to support case?

new reader will work just fine, nothing needed to do.

BUT you can try to get other one working.. open it up check the batteries, and hold the card manually against the chip reader.. for me it works like that (also dropped on floor)

Could try opening the old one up, clear out the fluff and dust or use a vacuum nozzle, has worked for me when I've had error 72's.

As to new reader, cant assist, still on my original 5 years+ and still going.
