Since it seems MindArk prefers to respond to support cases with copy/paste answers, and anything with substance to it gets thrown in the trash, and they don't give a flying fuck about anything until it gets blown up on PCF, I'll go ahead and start this thread here so that maybe MindArk will see it.

Gold Rush results are all kinds of fucked up. It's not just me, it's a LOT of people affected by this. Please unfuck this situation.

what about the 20 hour normalized score?

"Total score will be calculated based on hourly point averages to derive each participant's 20 hour normalized points"

jbk suggested the timer might not have been working properly. as if the instance continued to run even after you left which would completely nuke your score. i should have been at 93k in cat 3 wihch would have given me 3rd place.
 
my own calculation for the goldrush event places me well in the prizerange for cat 2 so i hope Mindark will still find my score...

I marked all the times i entered the instances with my pet despawn message and can provide the same for every time i exited those instances to verify timers if needed.
 
More than 1 month for that :unsure:

You expect a response from them after a few days? You should know better than that by now :p

It will probably be about a month for first short response like "we are looking into it". After that about 1-3 months of wait then they will make a main thread about it that they have an ongoing investigation and will update us with the results which you should expect be given in about 0.5-2 years or never given at all.
 
Well results where published so my guess is gg to winners and this thread is just the salt from ones who didnt get the pizes.

So you are saying that if you would won the competition and MA would give your prize to someone else, you would be ok with it? :D
 
Funny to see the HP limit category was won by 3 alts.
To the 2nd guy, you fogot to hidden your alt on EL like the other two did.


Just joking, obviously that is what every mentor first tell to his new discipline, go to EL and hide your profile.

U r speculating atm :) all i see is salt from Captain jack atm no proof of any kind a shown. Atleast JBK have some spreedsheets.
 
Mate I feel your frustration. Not about the scores so much as I hardly ever participate but the sheer audacity this company has, to send its paying customers copy paste crap. Shouldn’t happen to anyone but Specially to those who have invested a lot of years, time and money.

where are we with EU, 17, 18 years 19? and this company is still at a position where it can’t hire appropriate staff to deal with support cases. You brag about all this multi millions of turnover and still you have to send copy pasted nonsense? You are probably the only game / casino I know that does this. It’s absolutely pathetic.

Maybe you don’t realize or as CJ says you really couldn’t give a flying fuck about any of your customers or their worth. I really can’t see why any company would do that? Before I used to brush it off and used to think you are just pathetic and have no real structure or the actual intelligence to value their customers. Seeing this happens time after time over the course of my 16 years, but a few days ago when I got the same copy paste crap It slightly got to me and got me thinking how fucking dare they, NO FU. You have earnt yourself no deposits for 2 months.

I don’t just speak for myself here but for every participant who has had this dirty copy paste disease thrown at them.

It is them who have invested TIME and MONEY to get your peasant company where it is, not you or your damn staff and neither your incompetent ceo's, as after the years you have been in business your copy paste responses clearly show your ability and substance as to what you are as a company. Get your damn act straight and stop insulting your customers with this nonsense.

Just seems like sour grapes from a couple of players who were expecting to win because they're "rightfully entitled to do so" - i'm happy i've won something (3rd place, cat. 2) and not one more "usual suspect" that is "rightfully entitled to win something in that competition because [insert whatever reason here]" - which means:

A RANDOM AVATAR WITH A SOMEWHAT DECENT GEAR CAN REALLY WIN AN EVENT!! OR GET CLOSE TO IT!!!

Soooo.... Be happy! There's hope for the less fortunate ones! :headbang:

Generally speaking playing by the rules and achieving a significantly higher score than those posted as top placements does "rightfully entitle" a person to win.

not really, you're just assuming other scores.

if you say the calculations are wrong, then you should also assume the values for other players are wrong - so you really don't know what you're comparing yourself against.

This is definately the worst and most idiotic thing MA and Arkadia have done.... I'm soooooo pissed!!


I had around 100k points in cat 3

(around 100 720 according to my calculations)

Gold Rush is a f*cking joke to be honest. I don't know who should have won - but I definately had more than those scores that "won" cat 3


Stupid.

I'm sooooo disappointed. Seriously MA? Arkadia? Is this the best you can do?

The whole event was kind of unfair/a fix anyway. Ubers spread across all cats and swamp everyone out with their firepower, due to no limits outside cat 1.

All they've done now is screw over the other 0.1%.

Sorry to all who fell for the gold rush! GL!
