Question: Hello guys! Not sure if this is a scam or not..

Not sure if this project is a scam or not ...

In order to play this game , I had to set myself a quest . (to have a reason for hunting daily)
QUEST was TO CREATE PERFECTED IFN SPEC OPS ARMOR set.
I went to Arkadia planet , started the 7 training chain quest (in order to enter SICARIUS DUNGEON)
For those who don't know - upgrades parts of the armor drop only in that dungeon and are called PINCERS.
To make an upgrade you need 100 pincers.
Need 700 each ADJUSTED, IMPROVED , MODIFIED , AUGMENTED and PERFECTED for full set.
Total of 3500 pincers.

First Armor part ( first quest done ) - 11.06.2025

During the 7 training quests to enter the dungeon I rolled around 1.5 mil PED in ammo , repair armor + fap.
I lost arund 75 000 ped in TT loss. This is a scrsht with my deposits for that period of time.

THIS thread IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY spend, it's about the disappointment you get after invest money and time in one of MA projects.

Those who know me in real life or on Discord can confirm that I am a person who doesn't care how much deposits in the game, as long I can achive my quest.
(after 1 month of dissapointing in Sicarius Cave , I stopped deposit - limited play till I get all upgrade parts)

On JUNE 26 I finished last quest and I was anxious to enter the cave.

After hunting few hours daily in that dungeon, the loot is like this:
(dungeon entry is not fee - cost 12 Arkadia daily insignia for 6h )
Dungeon entry fee = 3 hunting daily quests and 3 mining daily quests for ARKadia insignias.

PURPLE: PERFECTED

Is this armor worth 4 years of daily hunt or not ?

You are as insane as you are rich, the only bad thing here is that you're making the wrong company richer. I admire your aspiration, determination and courage to do this but... If it was not for the company currently running this game you'd probably be in a better position. I hope you get it sorted out. P.S. I personally think not much is investing time and money is worth in EU atm, let alone an armor like this, maybe after we get proper people to lead the game, not bury it like the current leadership.

There is absolutely no one at mindark right now who has a clue what's going on in their game, let alone there is no balance manager.
This alone is the reason people should not invest more than 10$ in this indie game.

I would like to write a lot of words of admiration, support, sympathy, but...
I am sure the upgrade design was not developed in order to be achieved in solo. But the active market for Pincers was supposed (for example, how it was planned and really works for Hyperion armor on the ARIS). This market is not in reality. Since too high the threshold of access to instances. And too few really active players for such a large game with a huge amount of alternatives for activity.
 
Oratan Payback mission is a good one , it will take about year for dropship and 2 1/2 to finish in its entirety.

Daily skill reward , dropship , and enough attribute tokens at later stages to move several levels.

and lets be real it kind of is a little bit about the money?, i mean you spent 17.5k USD in two months and got an okay armor out of it, you tell us if it's a scam or not
 
Sorry for your struggle but damn this made me feel a lot better for my losses😅 I do hope you reach your goal within a reasonable timeframe though!
 
You know whats is also crazy here (except you)...that you grind your life here and no don't fuck the money it's your money..hard earned...crazy thing is that some mofo will come and implement some new item/armor to keep this game alive/rolling and that new thing will shit all over yours and your loss and your time are wasted and your disappointment will be even bigger i assume.
I can understand why some people had enough and don't play and want to quit.

It's the same with trabecular parts for ARC armor plates on Cyrene - they drop rarely, and you'd spend half your life grinding for a full set. And that's part of the point really - one has to cooperate, trade etc to achieve a full set. Makes sense - else the macro Kings would have gone brrrrr and destroyed the MU and fun right away.

My money are gone , I took the loss It's really not a big deal to me. I didn't know what I would find in that dungeon, for me it was like an unpleasant surprise.
but
I shared my experience so other players don't make the same mistake, or if they absolutely want to do it, there's no reason why they didn't know.
From my point of view, it's a scam. This armor is just for show, to make you think you can make a good item in the game, but on the other hand it's almost impossible to do it.
 
Another question is also what happens if Arkadia will not adapt to the new tools, Items getting deleted and you did all this for nothing? I don't know this is pretty shady overall
 
i had previously thought that gun quest on cyrene was challenging and would rekt the ped card, but yeah this is some next level insanity, if Image sees this thread please do input how much and how long it took to make that gun.
 
as i approached the "unlock quest" and killed some minutes i understood that opening the instance would cost in tax more than 40k ped (thank you for explaining the real cost)
i do nota gree in the "scam" idea, it is a metter of valuation, a POE set is going for 65k roughly and a high end armor for robots is 20 to 30k. definitely that quest line is not worth.

answering to skeptic i think hyperion is easyer because of the daily system, so it is a "surplus" on the normal gaming routine and is done in "free land".

Arkadia moon and Arkadia underground are "taxed lands" and sink a big amount of ped that goes back into "dividends". personally speaking i dont hunt in taxed land if it is not mandatory and if it is i think very much before doing it.
 
Tobe perfectly honest: I think there are far better goals you can set yourself than this slog. If you do do it, expect it to be bettered or wiped out by some tweak they make to the game.
 
While it is a super great armor and probably worth any amount of money

I think that mindark rly needs to reconsider how exactly they push new content

Specialy arkadia is known for super nice armors you never be able to finish...

Most people i know who did quit, did not quit because of money, they did quit because there is only that much bs a human can take, caused by the "shorttime" solutions


Fix the game, hire someone with atleast basic economy know how, please...
 
and explain if CYRENE and ARKADIA found an agreement to go on genesis system.
stable assassinator, mod viceroy, my quest for dropship--- are they going ro be deleted?
this is a huge question mark posed on grinding for items too
 
Well this confirms my suspicions and im glad i put the breaks on the grind to unlock it. Tho from my point of view aside from the evident sucky nature of grinding 160kish in tt on each of the 2 taxed lands its a bit of bonus if your just grinding codex on said mobs, but its concerning none the less. Hopefuly by time my slow ass finnishes it youv abused the devs into getting there asses into gear. Best of luck!

Yes and the compensation they stated will probably not even be anywhere near what the current MU would be on those items.

But for example say the account bound Veceroy armour that would be a big loss because of how much in materials it costs to upgrade it to max. I doubt MA would compensate the value of all those materials back to the player so you do not get any loss from it.

I just used Viceroy as an example but all other planet items will be the same situation.
 
Isn't the idea that you get way more the low ones so you can sell them to players who cannot survive in that instance or just want to upgrade with their wallet rather than their effort? Or are they not tradeable?

Those who cant survive there probably dont have the peds to do the grind on a 5 % taxed moon


I dont understand the greed, why do you put aditional tax on a Planet as a planet Partner if you get % of players turover on your planet already
 
I was going to comment when I saw the screenshot of the deposits but I chose to not say anything. But those deposits was a crazy amount in only what 2 month period.

At the end of the day it was your money and choice to spend it how you like. If that was me, I would not have invested that much for this type of grind especially on a planet that we still do not know if they will sign up to this new Genesis Probe scheme.

As we are all aware that planet partners that do not sign up to this new scheme will be deleted and all items removed and would be compensated, but again that compensation will be very very little I would imagine.
