Question: Hello guys! Not sure if this is a scam or not..

Wow unfortunate. I assume the pincers only drop during loot waves as well. So most ped spent off wave would be a complete waste of time and money.

Very similarly to droplets, very predictable

It's the same with trabecular parts for ARC armor plates on Cyrene - they drop rarely, and you'd spend half your life grinding for a full set. And that's part of the point really - one has to cooperate, trade etc to achieve a full set. Makes sense - else the macro Kings would have gone brrrrr and destroyed the MU and fun right away.
solution is easy, limited time per instance per week. for example 5h total per 7days.

scam scam next quest for you is :

The problem which Zana posted is - The drop rate!!- it is limited to a daily amount and whoever gets them thats it....So if more people go in there it will take longer..., I dont think MA or Arkadia understand that ...and if everyone is aware of this which they are ...no one will go in there till they fix it... i would love to continue my grind and i was the first one in there and when i figured it out I LEFT FAST.... ZANA is a better man and is still pushing and hoping MA and ARKADIA actually do someting to fix it.... If they did i would go back...but till then ill sit and let Zana have at it ...because i dont want to take from the 2 drops a day lol

It's the same all over with the limited supply. It's not a resource that can be mined faster by more people. More people means fewer drops per person.
In the real world even toilet paper can become scarce if too many people go loo roll 'hunting'.
The issue I have is with greedily low artificial rates that can be changed on a whim. I've likened it to a coffee shop that only allocates one cup of 'better' coffee per hour, whether it be with sprinkles on top, or cream, or a shot of 'something else' or whatever. I gather this is worse than that even, not even every wave gets an injection. It's thoroughly anti-grind and totally stupid to have customers standing around waiting to pounce when the 'staff' give some subtle hint that people 'might' be in luck for the next 5 mins - but only one person mind!
Do I see it changing? Well, I have seen tests carried out by 'non-MA' devs from time to time, but those don't exist any more it appears.

I've also called this universe the stupid place of Little Prince planets - room for just one inhabitant and one on a visit. On a mob spawn level, rather than planets, it's not even an exaggeration sometimes, and it's been like this for years.

It's no wonder we don't advertise this game to friends or share info much - it is to our direct disadvantage!

Point on, why would you tell your friends to play entropia when more players mean less loot possibilites for yourself. Its a destructive loot system and if more ppl would understand less players would spend their ped hunting. A limited amount dof drops per day is such lack of design.
I think its high time to make entropia devs aware so they change this system.

The worst part for me is when they "fill" the limited supply, and whoever was there, will sometimes loot everything all at once, months of grinding and you get screwed over if you were not there for that 5 minutes. Remember some instances like on Cyrene with drops from the armor upgrade part.

I have to say , that is a point I had never considered.
Once it gets down to just me playing , all the loot will be mine.

Ive asked the Ark dev team and they say they have "fixed" this issue and its now better than before whatever that means. You can see it on their discord chat.

As someone else who has unlocked the nest.. Zana is correct. In it's current state, the epic quest for this armor and the nest is a complete scam. You get approx 4-7 pincers per 6 hour run and it's half that if somebody else has gone that day. Do the math it's absolutely ridiculous. They baited us with an epic quest and hope of upgrading our armor but the mu in the nest is worse than molochs or even the aurli cave that are less work to unlock. The tt loss to make the set complete is very likely more than the set will even be worth.

I don't know who is responsible for this, but the Ark team has heard our feedback and we wait for any results at this point... I'm writing this only to save other people from the scam

This is just my personal opinion, but yes—I felt completely cheated after finishing the armor, clinging only to the false hope that the cave would offer anything worthwhile.

  • Roughly -50k in hunting losses in cave , plus upgrades to 1 adjusted part and 2 improved parts. This was only possible by trading with Zana, which already tells you he was short on small parts.

PS: Don’t kid yourself—you cannot do this in stages. All pincers drop at the same rate.

When Zana originally made his post, the drop rate was identical and you could get the same result in 3 hours. Instead of increasing the pincer drop, they simply dragged the exact same outcome over 6 hours.

So Dr. Zana’s calculation now needs to be multiplied by 2 to reflect reality.
  • Loot was pure stone-age trash—nothing new at all. Just old guns and armor. I saw one 10 PED ESI during the entire run.
  • And if someone runs the cave before you, you can forget about getting anything close to the same result. At that point, you’re just burning PED.
  • Mob maturity varies, but pincer drops don’t. That means smaller players have no place there. The mobs have AOE, making solo play unrealistic. Teaming could work, except only one player actually progresses, which defeats the entire purpose.
  • I’ve also spoken with Arkadia Dev multiple times. At this point, all he says is: “We’ve been making changes for a year and it should be better.”
Yes, they responded to an image request, but only because there were no perfected pincers dropping at all.
  • And let’s be honest about why they stretched out the pincer drops: there was no reason to run the instance after the boss—nothing dropped, period. Instead of fixing that, they simply spread the same pincers across the whole run to force people to stay longer.

This cave should be open to everyone who is making dailies , and players who have finished the mission should be able to trade with others. It was clearly designed for teams, yet I haven’t seen a single team in there so far—which is a clear sign that something is fundamentally wrong.
We tested with Dr Zane team run and result was same, we both had similar amount of pincers based on dps, but total sum was same.

Mr KAAK

Done hoping, done waiting, done being cheated.

I advise people to stop visit arkadia since 2015, nobody ever listen.
Couple of years ago there was hope, some big talk comming out of arkadia and some community talks, then dead silence once more. Was promises of all sorts of overhauls, are there even any devs left there?

Or responds , I’ll pass it on to devs …

I unlocked right after Image and also ran away fast. I second all said by image and add the irony in an instance that is set up to only be efficiently ran by a strong group with drops that do not support or encourage groups to form. The cost of unlocking stated by original post are exaggerated by allot, most of the stages can be done not taxed. Unlocking and getting the base armor is not that expensive running the instance and chasing the upgrades is where all the cost is.

So lawyer up and sue them for deceptive business practices, intentional misrepresentaion, violations of local or EU consumer protection laws, violations of local and EU gaming regulatory laws, etc...

They will probably tell you it's arkadia's fault, so name that team as a party too, and lastly find out a good defense for why you lack reading comprehension skills.

I have reported all of these problems multiple times through support and directly to the Arkadia dev team. They responded immediately when I was the first one inside the instance discovering the issues (as usual, players are the real play testers). To be fair, they addressed and fixed all the technical and gameplay problems pretty quickly. That part was handled well. However, they completely ignored the loot.

After that, a couple more players went in and reported the same loot issues again. The devs did make an adjustment, and yes, they did change something. They spread the drops out more and made the later upgrade parts drop slightly more frequently. But this came at a huge cost. It now takes roughly three times longer to loot everything, and progression requires killing the boss, which around 99% of solo players are incapable of doing.

The mechanics of the instance itself are just terrible. It is clearly intended to be done in a party, but the party design makes no sense. Both players need to have access, mobs are not shared, and the drop rate does not change when grouped. On top of that, the entry fee is 12 Arkadia Daily Insignia. These are account-bound, so if you go as a team, one player has to cover the entire entry cost. Twelve insignia is not cheap either. It requires doing all Arkadia insignia dailies every day, including mining, crafting, and hunting, On TAXED land areas, just to maintain access to the instance every time.

The mobs inside are level 80 to 150+ and they hit extremely hard. They have a very wide damage spread and deal AOE damage, hence the team mentality.
The damage is wide spread and hard to cover

Now for the biggest issue: the loot. The mobs inside this instance drop exact copies of Arkoin vendor items. This is loot that is over 13 years old, originally released in 2013. They seriously thought it was a good idea to put 13-year-old, already worthless loot into a brand-new instance with level 100-150+ mobs. To put this into perspective, this loot is worse than what drops in IFN Personnel instances. Those mobs are roughly half the level, require half the effort to access, were added around 2015, and still drop better loot than Arkadia’s newest and hardest instance.

Overall, all the negative sentiment toward this quest chain is 100% legitimate. The armor progression, instance layout, entry mechanics, party design, drop rate, and loot choice all suck. It’s a real shame, because this quest chain could be. great, but it is completely devalued by copy-pasting terrible 13-year-old loot into what is supposed to be modern endgame content.(that rewards a best in slot armor)

Proceed with caution until addressed!

Sounds awful, no one should do it. And I thought the imp catalyst situation on ARIS was bad.

Just want to say thanks to the ones who put their ped on the line to discover all this, I started but only got 50% into making the 1st armor part but seems like a massive ped sink to unlock an even bigger ped sink.

Then theres MA who love to secretly make things even worse for us in the background with sneaky small changes over time that negate gear upgrades u spend a fortune on to make something easier meanwhile also nerfing loot drops even after complaining about the drops being bad already. Oh sorry I thought we were talking about cyrene for a sec. Guess its happening everywhere.

The OP is seriously depositing $10,000 a MONTH?
Well, I can see how this game has been surviving all these years with just a small fanbase, are you INSANE? feeding all that cash into the game, it's no wonder us normal and obviously poor people get naff all of value!
I have always been amazed, and astonished at some of the numbers that I see, and prices of stuff, ingame but I had no idea.
I just thought that guy Deathifier was a one off with his massive spending way back when but I wonder if you realise how lucky you are that you can afford to pump such ridiculous amounts of money into this game.
I also wonder what it would be like now if you didn't, probably would have died years ago, or just maybe they might have listened to their players a bit more if they had to worry about the future a bit.
Maybe the rest of us might have been encouraged to stick around with decent loots instead of stupid oils and worthless garbage, or quest rewards that don't take years to get the required items for.
I am somewhat blown away at this, I thought that I had deposited far too much, I don't have any clue as to how much over the years but nothing compared to $10,000 a month....

not all players registered because rookie chat or sweating, no one ever asked why romania has the 2nd or 3rd most players playing this game?
unfortunately not even mindark knows their game is real cash anymore, shame.

yes it's completely crazy to burn so much money in a virtual game, I also know some players who lost all rationality for a certain time, and a few years later realize the waste, not to mention the thousands of hours spent in front of their screen..
