Well I know with fruit test...
but there has to be a better way to do this... because i dont want to fill this thing up 13.2k peds :)

first swing was 13,256.64...
second was 13,256.24.... (40 pecs change)
third was 13,255.84...(40 pecs change)

166 max dmg
83 min dmg

124.5 average dmg...

i know it ISN'T 3.1125 eco...

so how can i do this with out fully repairing it?

124.5 / 39 pecs decay = 3.192

124.5 / 40 pecs decay = 3.1125

124.5 /41 pecs decay = 3.0365

could it really be this high? or am i do something wrong... i have never done a eco test or really even know how to do eco so i am guessing i am doing something wrong

no need to repair to full.

Put the sword in the TT and add fruit/dung/fragments until the TT machine changes up 1 pec.. now you know the initial value. (what the tt machine reads less the tt value of the fruit).

swing once and repeat the fruit test.

you now have enough info to calculate decay correct to 0.001 pec.

the figures you have above don't take into account the 8% miss rate that entropedia also uses for avg dmg/pec.. so, adding in the 8% miss rate..

124.5 / 39 pecs decay = 3.192 / 2.9369

124.5 / 40 pecs decay = 3.1125 / 2.8635

124.5 /41 pecs decay = 3.0365 /2.7937

I'd guess it'll be real close to 2.90 avg.

39.785 pec decay

2.8789 avg dmg/pec ( i hope.. no calculator :p )

not too bad :) hopefully its wrong though :)

Genesis Bifrost 2.884

Genesis Niflheim 2.887 (.038 difference)
Genesis Niflheim (L) 2.925

Genesis Rainbow Sword (L) 2.935 (+.01 eco over nifl)
Genesis Rainbow Sword ???

Genesis Prism of Destruction 2.895 (SB version of Rainbow)

L rainbow higher then L nifl too... humm... maybe i need more swings?

either way happy same dps as Imp SH and almost same eco (Damage/PEC: 2.886 HP) :) and I cant say how i know but melee users will be happy in 2 months or less :)

Lol, sorry I didn't correct my previous post fast enough. should have used calculator first time round :D

and yeah, I was convinced it would be about 2.895 to 2.90. maybe someone else will double check.

and there is def. a 8% miss rate? its not like 7.8%? or something

with out the miss rate wat is the eco?

124.5 / 39.758 pec decay

3.1314 dmg per pec with out miss rate?

i might need to do more then just 2 swings to make sure? like 3-5 swings to get exact or so?

thank you again for the help Kid Squirrel

that's right, without the 8%.

more swings won't make much difference, other than show a rounding error less than the tt of a nova frag. if you want to be positively sure, you could take 10 swings between testing, but the final result will still be 39.7575 to 39.7585. which will give you a error margin of 0.00003625 dmg/pec

A really fast and simple way I do this is usually to throw the junk in my shop to check the TT value before and then use it one time and check the TT value afterwards. The shop function can take the decimal place out to several places..so it is extreamly accurate ;)

You could let me borrow it for a sec when I log in tonight and I'll do it up quick for ya and plug in the information on the wiki :)

Miss rate is only 8% on melee???

Damn, that's a large difference from the 11.67%-11.68% on ranged.

Probably a "guestimate" but doesn't seem correct to me that it's 8%. At any rate when figuring out "eco" or "tt-usage" of a weapon you don't factor in misses that's not the correct way to do it.

@Joker~You can use the fruits/dung etcc but the easiest and 100% accurate method is using an SK or a shop, which is what I do when testing the values of items.

Fruits / dung will give you just as good result as a shop 100% of the time.

Not if the person adding the dung, fruits doesn't know what they're doing, let alone know how to add/subtract ;)
