How do forum auctions work

I’m still new and was wondering about the bump <thing when someone is putting something up for auction. and I tryed to sell a store and was told I’m doing it wrong I’d like to know how the selling works here to?

The rules relevant to the trading section are 5.1 to 5.8, as well as 3.10:

3.10 - Bumping of Threads
Bumping of threads is only permitted ONCE in any 24 hour period, and only if the thread has been pushed to the second page of a forum (using default viewing settings). This rule applies especially for the Trading forums. Bumping of threads by friends is NOT permitted at any time.
