How do I set the item price in a PVP trade? Can´t find any function for that in the trade windows, am I missing something? Furthermore, if I want to sell something for 0 PED (just transfer an item to the other player), is that possible?

I dont understand what a PVP trade is? but if you mean just a normal trade between two avatars then the price is set by chatting/negotiating with the other player, there is no ingame function to set price

To sell for 0ped just place in window and press confirm, the other player should place nothing in his window and press confirm...viola, you have made a trade for 0ped :yay:

....this question seems too simple, was this a trick question :) have I just been punked.....where's the camera ?

You cant really set a item price unless you run a shop.

For see market value right klick the item and choose "market value" then you can say what price you want for the item to the buyer

to tranfer something (guess fruit/dung in this case) just do a trade and put the item in your window and press accept.

cant send the item tho.

hope it helps!

Pvp Trade ? :scratch2:

Just shoot them in the face and take it ! :sniper:

pvp style trade aka

your item or your life

Use "P2P" instead of "PVP" for peaceful interaction between avatars.
Native English speakers have notoriously little imagination when it comes to deciphering small mistakes in their own language, and will misunderstand.

I could not find any answers that regarded how to accually get the peds for the items.

when you want to pay for an item, you find your PED card in your inventory, right click and choose extract (think it is, but it is obvious which one it is when you do it) then choose the amount you want to withdraw from the card, then just drag the peds (and pecs) to the trade window like you would do with an item.

when you want someone to pay you for an item, just tell them the price, and they normaly know how to get the ped from the card, if not, now you can help them :)

think your answers have already come in previous posts :)

many non-native english speakers have notoriously little attention to detail to write properly - if one has to use imagination to understand an informational sentence or phrase, then the sentence or phrase isn't worded properly and needs to be corrected :p

a lot of none artless british speaker receive friend little attention to detail to write accurately even though themselves has to benefits fancy to interpret a instructive sentence or phrase , that's the lot the sentence or phrase aren't words accurately and needs to be corrected P

A valid point - I still think there is some truth to my observation, but it probably applies to (native speakers of) all languages. Not that it is really relevant, I just thought my first post was a bit too short.

PS: Part of this post has been transformed using an online translator

However, Entropia uses the term PVP trade in-world (in those little help-windows & stuff), doesnt it? Which would make it the right term to use when asking about it in a related forum, even if "PVP"-trade rubs me the wrong way aswell.

Well how about a frendlier aproach to the PVP trade. If you were in Pvp4 or 3 and one of the notorius big PKers run up to you and robb you insted of killing you. Wouldnt that work out fine saves alot of trouble for both parts.

Big Uber saves ammo and nicly ask you for all youre stackables, the unhappy victim saves time by not having to be back at revive and peds on the Toxic shot.

I do not think it will ever hapen but how would you react if lets say Skalman came an put the biggest gun he had in youre face and nicly asked you for the loot or youre life. That would truly be a PvP trade

If you want my loot you have to pay the ammo cost you cheap bastard! ... Oh, a revival terminal, how did I get here? :yay:

Yes, they do actually. Sorry for calling it a "mistake", since MA is using that term, I guess it's not actually a mistake.

..or is it?

I assume the V stands for Versus. According to Merriam-Webster the definition of Versus is:
1 : against
2 : in contrast to or as the alternative of <free trade versus protection>

I think the above definition implies that the two participants would be "adversaries" or "opponents". This is not how I see a trade, where it is usually a question of mutual exchange or cooperation.

But what do I know, I am not a native English (or Latin) speaker

I think you assume lack of effort, where it's really a matter of lack of skill.

Maybe we should discuss this in danish, then we can see how accurate and correctly you'll be able to express your views in a foreign language ;)

well as im sure you know, i don't know Danish so this wouldn't work - however, if I DID know Danish, I would attempt to speak/write it as correctly as I attempt to speak/write English (which doesn't always succeed, obviously :)) - and I would appreciate feedback on how to be more clear - anyone who wouldn't apprecaite this type of feedback should be classified in the "lack of effort" group imo ;P

Sorry, I have to ask .....you ask this question but you colonists beret ?? what have you been doing since then ? :scratch2::scratch2::scratch2:

If I understand the question correct , the price is agreed in chat . You both put agreed item /price in your trade window ( what you get is in top pane , what you give is in the bottom pane), click confirm twice done

Thanks all of you. And yes, I ment P2P of course. The answer I needed was that involving the PED card, but I had also missed the option to sell/transfer something for 0 PED by just clicking "Confirm" :)

(please disregard this post, it´s just a duplicate by mistake)

I'm a native English speaker and I understood the intent even though PVP is usually used in another context.
Some English speakers are flexible enough to understand what others mean when using a second language and making an error. ;)

Perhaps someone should raise a support case with MA under the "Text and Translation" heading, pointing out their error in using the wrong acronym in their help boxes, suggesting P2P (Player to player) or P-P (Player-Player) trade rather than PVP.

Also a native English speaker, and I understood the question just fine.
Sure, there are plenty of people who are simply anally-retentive and insist their manner of phrasing things is the only correct one - I feel kind of bad for these people, as they must spend the majority of their lives completely miserable in the knowlege that the universe simply refuses to revolve around them.

Fortunately, I have to say I've not run in to many (actually any) of these folks in Entropia. Most are kind enough to either make an effort to figure out what I'm saying, or simply ask what I mean.

Example:

Me> ssssssssssscrud!
Someone Else> Huh?
Me> That's me trying to run away from something, only to find out I was stuck in chat and died because of it.
Someone Else> LOL

Or:

Someone Else> Whatcha doing?
Me> Hunting Snables
Someone Else> What do you use?
Me> SO.
Someone Else> SO?
Me> Sollomate Opalo - can't afford anything else!

well every1 have said how to do a over and over again so no need for me to do it again ;)
