I didnt want to help anyway why did u get that idea( i guess it is ur way of saying TY for helping kill the mobs), what ive learned is i will not join these events no longer, since they are meant for the choosen 30 players.

They aren't chosen. They have the skills and organization to do it (and in this case happened to be in the right spot). There wouldn't be much point in skilling up to a very high level in this universe if there weren't benefits to justify it. Not everything is meant for everybody.

Definately was no fun.

What would make it better IMO:

-Spread the crowd out over a larger area via MANY different spawns of all skill levels.

-Spawn SEVERAL "event mobs" with different HP/dmg and spawn them according to the other spawns. ie: Drop a lower HP/dmg "Hydra" in with Attacker Gen 01 spawn at random. Higher hp/dmg "Event Mob" in with "The Eviscerator" spawn. Make these different maturity "Hydra's" capable of looting uber but according to their maturity. ie: If you put sentinel thighs in the highest maturity, then drop Shadow Thighs in with a mid level one down to say Jag or Boar in the smallest maturity "Hydra".

- Anyone shooting gets a piece of the pie. So have a shit tonne of stackables to be spread out along with the "items". So without even requiring a team, anyone who does damage is involved in "damage stack share" terms with the items being dished out at random like current damage stack share.

-If the mob costs 400 PED of ammo to kill... then there should be NO PROBLEM AT ALL handing out 300 PED stackables and 100 PED of SEVERAL very low TT GOOD items. After all.... these "rare event mobs" should be FPC's way of THANKING their customers for all the money we've spent throughout the duration of the weekend spawns (or whatever event is going on at the time).

- Don't hype up a single spawn/single mob event. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..... don't waste our time. Spawn the creature in the middle of no-where and when someone comes across it.... well.... it's up to them who they're gonna kill it with. (That is of course if you refuse to spawn several). Feel free to put in red chat that the Imperial Gov't intercepted a robot signal and let us know that the creature is on Calypso somewhere.... .but that's it. We can then chose whether or not to look for it.

I have many more ideas however this event really angered me so I think I'll keep my mouth shut as I'm getting pissed off just thinking about it while I'm writing this.

for all we know it could really contain 144 ped worth of explosive projectiles, remember screeny or its a crappy loot

and im just arguing the point that if say it did loot items worth 9k peds MU it was way to easily achieved. its like taking 10 seconds of work and multiply what you spent on it by 900

also and im just sayin, that everything is up for grabs for ubers at say lvl 70 - lvl 200 if your a lvl below that and dont have an armor like jenna stars, your automatically going to lose every time, now i know my place and i participated maybe 5% of this event so far because i know the odds are waaay against me so, from the beginning i decided to take the "kid watching the football game in the stands" prospective.

In a sense the "noobs" had all week to kill attackers and loot a shit tonne of SK-20 (L) which they could hoard in storage until after the event then sell at quite a nice MU. If you're a "noob" then selling SK-20's is a very nice item to have listed. For an "Uber" a full TT SK-20 at MU doesn't repair armor plates after a hunt.

I just think that this event could have been an AMAZING finish to what was kicked off with "H-Day". It had a lot to be desired, but as stated.... there has to be SOME incentive to becoming "uber" otherwise no-one would deposit.

You're right that this wasn't (and maybe should have) been marketed as an "uber" event HOWEVER.... that being said.... the decoded transmissions automatically led me to believe that this would be a mob I couldn't touch...... I CHOSE to go anyway HOPING it would have been better than it was.

The boss mobs in events are often only meant for higher skilled players, yes. But there were mobs in this entire event for every level player.

I think the biggest problem is that there was only one Hydra.

isn't it really that if the final target mob was actually at a level where people could compete an uber would step in, fire once and kill it an event like this where everyone could try for the final prize will always be unachievable

Each time it's the "it's encouragement to become uber" gets dragged out, it would be but every time an event like this happens they move the bar out of reach of those who aren't already uber and don't have a small fortune to spend but I suppose thats why they do it to keep people hoping and depositing.

tbh its just like all the previous events where its based on a spawn and I can see why the newer players get annoyed but then they haven't been around long enough to become as jaded as the rest of us

Like in a lottery (oops did I say lottery we all know eu is not a gamble game) the more tickets you buy the more chance you have to get the jackpot. But it does not make sure you get the jackpot.

But since this is a fundamental thing and needs to be made by MA and not by FPC or other planet partners I am afraid we will keep ending up with the same event loot distribution as in all those years when MA organized it.

I know an angel part was looted from a drone elite, which can be killed by upper-mid level players in team. And good stuff has dropped from non uberest mobs in events in the past many times.

Not good that way. When there is a large difference in dps being inflicted on a mob, it will far more often attack the person doing the most damage. So with your proposal the higher skilled players would be taking the most hits, having to have the most expensive gear and taking the most decay, and a newbie could pelt it with an m2a and get lucky with a big item loot while taking nearly zero risk. That's not right.

There was a ton of ammo n guns there ready and willing to be shot. MA could of milked way more ammo out of the people there, given more loot, and still come out ahead.

Huge mob of trigger happy people and we hardly got to shoot.
I do not understand why they would not suck the ammo out of us.

Both players and MA lost in this regard.

They could have build it up with multiple warrior elite, BB10, Warlock, ... and other spawn, spread position a bit and in the end have Hydra spawning. Have a mass slaughter of all green dots. Wouldn't that have been fun

Gathering up at coord X,Y with a large group waiting for 1,5 hour to get 1 Hydra and a few spawns of elites is simply not worth logging in for.

And that was the pitty ... not the fact there is only 1 Hydra.

(maybe they feared the servers couldn't handle it and they aborted some spawns)

Well this robot thingy , I guess was improvised and just a laugh ppl at FPC had over lunch as they read about H-Day here in this forum...

Someone prolly said "if they want a war lets give them one!" Or something similar.. We didn't get any news from entropiagateway cos' they didn't have time to make it I guess. Simpel coded messages in chat gave us the clues!

I missed the whole finale in this robot attack but I don't care.
There is prolly a new event coming soon anyway and that raises a question again!
What do one expect to loot?? Since the events are comming more often and untill now have given something nice and valuable. Should we expect that every event finale will drop something uniqe?

I just had to get this off my chect before I join the rest in complaining why I didnt loot the egg this time

I've not looted anything ubbah but i am really enjoying the event, just wish rl would let me play more atm . Nothing wrong at all with a big bad mob, but maybe should have been spawned with a mass of warlocks and big bulks, or even RX units .

I wasn't there but sounds like the end mob was dropped in on it's own and got pwned.

One thing that would be nice is sirens in cities when attack waves come, i heard soo much about the city attacks in past anbut many remember sirens .

It was great to see so much ppl at one place again after a long time. It was (for me) very clear that "Hydra" will not be a noob or middlevel bot.

It would have been much more fun to have a *big* spawn of bots -no matter which- there. But I think not only me was kicked with "out of memory" a few times. So I look at this as a massive Server/Client test, not more.

Hint to MA: If you wish to do such tests in future, simply tell us. That would prevent ppl to be disappointed in awaiting of a "big event".

i went there cause i got a team invitation and pm about some huge mob called hydra or so, which appearently got hyped by FPC in the first place, as they tend to do

generally, i stay strictly out of MA events unless i can see a tad of use/fun in it
(went for longtooths for example, but had a loss of 3k ped afterwards, although we looted angel foot guard M in team-should have kept with my usual avoiding of the events)

this one was similar, although no ped loss
i went there knowing that i wouldn't be able to kill it and that the usual suspects would kill it
(even if I could have killed possible event mobs I had likely been ksd by them, so i tend to stay away from those crowded events anyway)

but waiting for 45 min or so in a hilarious lag, to see 1(!) pimped warlock being killed in 20 seconds, that is pretty much nonsense

as much as I dislike some of their events they're in a difficult position.

They can't win because if they made an event for middle or lower level players but left it open to everyone, just as this one was, then one or two ubers could dominate completely.

There's currently no way for them to make an open event that gives fair chance to everyone.
