I was doing a little sweat/kill today and my sword was about dead so I said I would hunt until my sword died and then let the mobs kill me. As I died I noticed that there was some fruit on the ground. I just wondered if it would stay until I got back, I was close to the revive, so I ran back and guess what it was still there. Now comes the good part. I forgot to heal myself and got killed before I could pick up the fruit, Again! I got revived again and healed as I went back and it was still there and I got it that time.
I read that the fruit stays around for a while and it really does.
