News: Introducing TWEN Token

So because u don't want to invest the time and money in hunting you think others should invest in the profession issue is crafting for you? Last time I check enhancers are crafted. I use those to hunt. The fap I use is crafted , the mind essence is mined and supports sweaters. Shit even my ped supports miners and fruit gatherers? The amps I use are crafted. Ih yeah and the over 100k in mu and materials used to tier my fucking gear. I sir have done my bit to support all the professions, what have you done other that bitch, while and say dumb shit. U go stand in the corner next to the other person who isn't allowed to speak anymore until you have something sensible to say. Ffs

Awesome, so you understand how the interconnectedness of the professions function. This should make it easy for you to understand how having prizes behind blueprints which also require contribution from the other professions is an optimal solution for an event celebrating Entropia Universe.

Thank you for your economic input!

No that exactly how you screw people over and you know that. Should they do a mining and crafting segment absolutely, bot at the expense of hunters. No reason why tokens can't be found in mining drops or gear even as sooto or twen bps looted crafting and even tokens but your proposal is ridiculous and u know it. Come up with something that makes sense and someone might listen to u.

Mining is almost left out of events including TWEN, and the event tokens, and it is not helping the Entropia economy and player satisfaction (customer satisfaction).

If I had spent the peds I lost (on P160, P85, high amps, etc) in mining, in hunting rather than mining, namely bought good gun and armor (~100k - ~150k), it would be much better. Although for a long time I did not know that MU was lost and not calculated in the ~95% return (which was due to lack of informing noobs well regarding that, and a HOF which made up my MU loss of ~10K+ at earlier stage).

In hunting I can profit after knowing about MU. I can do that in mining as well now, but without P160, P85 and high amps, which means use of such gear in the game is probably not well justified given the present mechanics and market.

Lack of information hurts (specially accompanied with a HOF justifying the wrong theory)!

Suggestion 1: There should be a note in the auctions that MU is lost (in a corner of the auctions window) such that noobs can know and are reminded.

Apparently there is newcomer HOF and the message on Entropia site talking about ~95% return which all in all can mislead noobs. At least it is lack of informing well.

Suggestion 2: there can be more chance of getting UL items for those who have much MU deficit in the long run (spend more MU than gained). A partial return of that deficit, such as 50% in the long run. After all they have fed the game economy MUCH.

Suggestion 3: all the tokens should be made lootable in mining as well. The mechanics can be different, and there can be mining items (UL and L) to buy with the tokens.

Suggestion 4: the high value ore/enmatter which are used in building high amps are not mined with high amps, making the high amp use a bad loss. This logical bug should be addressed by MA and those who lost much using high amps and P160/P85 etc should get something in form of UL items or Apartments or etc in their mining finds in future. I know the game ecosystem is complex but I am sure something can be done (innovated) in this line.

Problem is people dont ask for mining / crafting Events because of the economy , they ask because of selfish reasons...

I do understand that everyone wants to profit fast and easy , but in fact ading tokens into mining or crafting will kill the marktup of every Material within the first day.

Small example lysterium got a sales volume of 15.000 ped (idk what it is today since i did not log) but lets say its 15 k a day.

15 k lysterium i dig out by my self in one day now lets do a event with tokens another 100 people will dig out the same amount... now we face 1.500.000 peds of lysterium that will return into the market somehow, it mu will Fall from 105% to 100.4 then thing will get even more funny , nanocubes will drop to tt value. While crafting will benefit aslong the Event goes on , the aftermath after the Event will be a real longterm problem, because then we will face oversupply of mining related loot, oversupply of amps/finders/depth components, oversupply of hunting loot.

Just to make a handfull players happy,

Who will
1. Never ever play this game beond 500 ped a month Budget
2. Never ever understand this game.
3. Items are to expencive or some other random bullshit they use as excuse why they fail in this game.

That's not the real issue here: nanocubes are at 0,4% already, so basically TT, cheap lysterium will encourage more people to craft with it, the power container BP is really goor for skilling, but clicking it when lyst. is above 102% is not viable. This applies to other BPs as well. Check the price of lyst during MM when lots of people are mining for pyrite, it could reach 101% and even lower, then it goes back up in like a month after the event is over. Oversupply is a non-issue.

The reason mining is excluded is because there aren't that many people mining I think, the majority of the cycling ingame is done through hunting, so MA is naturally seeking to reward the hunters. Making mining great again would require structural changes in the economy, that's not going to happen right not. A lot is being cycled through crafting as well though, and that prof. is kinda excluded from the event but not entirely since you can craft items that have MU, so MU in crafting is readily available already and that could be the reasoning here if I were to guess.

Nevertheless I think that adding token drops to mining and crafting as well as hunting would only encourage more activity and more cycling, you would be filling the lootpool regardless of what activity you choose, hunting, mining or crafting. The chance of looting a token should be lower for crafting tho.

One should not be lazy and dismiss new opportunities and chances of innovations, much of a well-working economy is sum of those "selfish reasons" balanced in an innovative way. A system which rewards tokens could work in hunting, it can work in mining and crafting too.

The dogma that things cannot be done in mining without harming the economy, should be substituted with innovations which make mining a good system at least like hunting. Logical bugs and challenges such as "high amp" uselessness should be addressed.

Example 1: one "solution avenue" to the MU drop problem you mentioned: token rewarding can be capped and/or tied to MU used for amps/P160/P85/P50/etc. , this way gaining tokens mean burning MU/buying and creating demand.

Example 2: reward tokens which can buy P160/P85/etc and new high amps and high finders, to drop the high-mining costs, and make their use reasonable. Use the material which may lose MU as a result in Apartment and Shop building blueprints to create new demand. Tweak it and it works.

Example 3: apparently high amp mining decreases the chance of getting high MU material per 1k excavated. Tokens can make up the accumulated loss for miners at least partially. These people have contributed to the economy more than 5 to 10 times of their mining cycle compared to being hunters. Due to a logical bug.

The mining system has logical bugs which the tokens may address, besides creating more fun. The sort of bug you try to avoid already exists in high-amp mining.

There can be many solution avenues. If MA wants to implement, I can help with solving the ecosystemic problems of the market (X has effect on Y/Z/etc effects)

Those who became hunters rather than miners from the beginning, were lucky. Those miners who did not pay into game much (despite me) were also lucky. It should be fairer. It can change.

And posting the MU loss message in auctions could save me about 100k peds in MU, with which I could buy good UL gun and armor, rather than high MU amps and high-finders (which lead you to a broken-logic avenue in the game!).

I could introduce paying players who would pay 10s of k of USD, if I was satisfied with the mining system and the game. EU can be played by much more players.

Test TWEN tokens for miners, and make it work. You can.
(separate Mining TWEN Tokens is also an avenue which may work)

How do you expect this "Boosted BP" engage crafting with 1 click (or maybe just few of those)?
Also most of high level hunters have decent crafting skills, so they dont need anyones help with it.
Unless you expect to incorporate some basic components into it.... which MA already did many times before. Unfortunately oversupply killed most of the effort.

Choosing professions in EU is totally free. If you pick hunting, crafting or mining, that is your personal choice. Events have always been mainly for hunters in EU.

New event prizes will have to be tiered, and use enhancers, which support mining crafting and hunting again. That is how it works!

Compare it to a F1 competition for example:
- the racecar drivers are the heroes who get the prize money
- the pit crew does all the supporting work
- the part manufacturers sell their stuff to the pit crew
- the factories make the car parts
- the mining companies supply the factories
- ...
This is called a supply chain and economy, and everyone can profit!

BUT THE FACTORIES OR MINING COMPANIES COMPLAINING THEY DON'T GET THE F1 PRIZE MONEY... THAT IS REDICULOUS !!!

Just accept reality and adapt. EU is always evolving. Make your choice and pursue your goal. Everyone in the supply chain is of equal value, but noone is equal. Every person is different, and therefore by definition not equal. One person is not worth more then the other, just different. Since professions are your personal choice in EU, everyone has the same chances to becoming the F1 driver, however, most don't have the dedication to get there.

Without the F1 drivers, the supply chain will fail, and leave everyone unemployed.

If you are complaining about your profession, you are:
- failing to see the opportunity and advantages your profession gives you
- failing to see the hardship of other professions
- exposing your personal weakness in having made a poor decision to take this profession.

For instance: me? I'm a hunter, not the best one, but somewhere between medium and uber I guess. I could envy crafters, who do a run whenever they want, can go afk crafting, and just put their stuff in auction or in their shops. As a hunter, I hunt like 20hours out of 24 during mayhem times! You think I like doing that? No I don't, but it is a choice and a sacrifice I make for being a hunter. I won't envy crafters though, I stick to my choice, because it is my decision. I won't complain about it either.
Complaining is stupid. Does the racecar driver keep whining about his car not being fast enough? No! He finds a better sponsor and upgrades his car. Your future is in your own hands.

Do hunters ask for events because they are the altruists of Entropia?
Also hunting is the profession that destroyed most of the MU of items delivered from its field.
And no, crafters dont benefit from nanocube (or other materials) MU dropping. Crafters are their own biggest enemy. If the price of mats drop, price of final items will also drop due that other crafters are willing to tight margins to previous levels before the price drop.

"Choosing professions in EU is totally free. "

- It is like saying choosing the street to drive in is a matter of choice, and that the drivers have eyes, while some of the streets have big holes in them which are left to be there. The governor has responsibilities. It is the 21st century. The street-governor must post the signs informing the drivers and should take care of the holes and problems in the streets.

"a supply chain and economy, and everyone can profit!"

- Exactly. For example those who used high MU mining (high-amp/high-finder) should have a reasonably higher chance of getting high MU items and finds. It is not the case now. It may even be the opposite. The high-drop mining economy is broken (huge loss), the high-depth mining economy plus low-drop works to some extent (profit can be gained).

UNTIL that time, avoid paying for P160/Amp 13/etc. , the price (MU) is far higher than it is worth it. The economy surrounding it is almost broken.

Mining strongboxes dropping 20 times of what they do now may help (together with more chance of high MU items for high-amp mining). Again someone may come and say x is the problem. OK, if so, y will be the solution. It is an ecosystem and things can be tweaked and fixed with some effort.

"THE FACTORIES OR MINING COMPANIES COMPLAINING THEY DON'T GET THE F1 PRIZE MONEY... THAT IS REDICULOUS"

- this is a game and it should be fun so events are needed for miners, also the mining economy in EU is partially broken which is not the case in real world. For example, in the real world you get gold by testing the ground, then you go with higher equipment and get more gold, in EU you get gold (Redulite) with low equipment, then you go with high equipment and your chance is reduced in "disproportionate" way, which is not real nor reasonable (the way it is done now appear to have a logical bug: mis-interpretation/mis-implementation of a sound business logic in practice, or maybe lack of a sound business logic).

"Complaining is stupid"

- Far from that, it is a way towards change and enhancing things.

"weakness in having made a poor decision"

- That I did not know MU was lost for a long time and I was a paying noob, was due to lack of informing the noobs well, and my paying into the game. Not my fault. That the high amp mining does not work is also not my problem. That a HOF returned my tt and the MU was also bad luck (if not deception). Confirming that MU was returned (for a badly-informed noob). At the beginning your choice is based on slight fun-seeking differences and lack of information, and chance. Now I can profit from hunting and low-amp mining.

"I hunt like 20hours out of 24 during mayhem times! You think I like doing that? No I don't"

- There should be a system to end your suffering. And yes. It can be made to work. I would give players who had a 100+ lvl or had paid 10k+ usd , an auto-hunt facility with a sort of hunting cap. You should not suffer because you play. It is wrong business logic and kills the MA profit (many players leave the game or do not join at all as there is suffering for ubers). It kills the players' joy. Unnecessary. Just needs innovation.

Again: TWEN is an opportunity to fix the mining (and other professions) and the unreasonable mining losses, and uber-hunting sufferings

Ok to keep it simple and for everyone to understand , even monkeys

I will reveal the mighty Secret of entropia

I bought a weapon , a armor, and a Ring setup, because i knew that there will be a event in entropia where i will have to kill and loot Monsters in order to get some sort of reward.

If tomorrow mindark announces a mining event, i will do this steps : " please do a Screenshot because this information is very well protected by illuminati and the 9 elder gods" and they will delete this post + haunt me for live. Soo... if mindark announces a mining event , you will have to open the so called "auction" and buy something called " mining finder " and a "excavator" rumors say you need so called " probes " from the TT terminal too . Next step is to drop "bombs" the Rest you need to figure out by ur self , because i already did say to much.

Crafting event ? Hmm how to take part of this ... mhh maybe buy a blueprint and click it ... no .. wait to easy... this must be wrong i think i need a weapon with 100 dps, shoot sabakuma hatchling.

Or simply complain on the forum because hey why not

Half of mining suggestions people don't understand.

Only thing i want for mining and crafting, is that mining and crafting items are specifically dropped in mining/crafting activities, hunters should not be able to grind mining gear. Everything must be skill based, and based on your actions, so if you are hunter, you should not be able to loot excavator from eomon.

EDIT: Same can be applied for space and i think @jbk would agree, warp capable quads and UL quads should only be available for space hunters to loot, or collect points/tokens towards it.

Is there any reason not to include all 3 main professions in the event tho?
So people can choose wether they want to buy weapons, buy finders or buy BPs?

The reason seems to be being lazy-enough (or frightened-enough) not to figure out an all-encompassing solution.

The old dogma: x hurts y and therefore things can't be fixed. It is what it is.

While the reality is: MA can innovate all-encompassing solutions with some effort. Players can help. Until then, it is what it is.

Im pretty sure i heard MA adressing that issue in the last interview, so i wouldnt jump into the bandwagon of negativity before seeing the patch live. Few days left anyway.

I do hope things get better with this patch. MA shows overall progress, it is just much slower than anticipated. And yes, a company has practical barriers and limitations in the real world.

Unreal Engine has been very good news. Good major changes can be crippling before things are well-placed and well-working.

The reason mining is excluded is because there aren't that many people mining I think,

No, it's due to laziness and a lack of ability to come up with a creative outside the box solution for a mining event.

For example... What if there were instances created for mining where some new resources were found when mining. These resources were the only thing that could be found in the instance and they were used in special L blueprints that could craft L event gear.

People could mine like crazy without affecting markups of regular resources. And crafters would have a new thing to craft with some beefy markup. And with it all being limited would mean that any affect on the economy would eventually clear itself out.

Biggest problem is they are lazy and only want to try to cram events within what exists already rather than coming up with a better system. People keep shelling out money though so what do they care?

Maybe the special ore or a TWEN Mining Token out of the Mining TWEN instance can be used for crafting/buying auto-hunting and mass-hunting tools and capabilities, sold to hunters, to take pain out of the Uber Hunting? And there can be hunting caps or other logic preventing bad outcomes from mass-hunting.

Mass-hunting can be a feature of gun/melee through attachments or enhancers.

It can be restricted to Mayhem instances at the beginning.

I'll take a wait-and-see tactic- because it's 50-50 that something will break again and we'll have to wait- and people will spend time, money and nerves- and weapons, as well as tokens, will gradually fall in price- since Ubers already have a lot of everything

As Entropia started 30 January 2003, i wonder why TWEN has started so late.
Better late than never though i guess :) .

You are the only person that is narrow minded here. I provided multifaceted options that would help all. Your answer was make it all blueprints. I guess aktuma is the only one allowed to do shit??? You propose I now need to be a level 100 or higher crafter to be able to even click what I just cycled millions of peds to earn? So I guess we all just sit around with a bunch of bps nobody but aktuma can craft or pay him to click it for us after we already heavily invested in or stop performing our main profession that you call F clicking to stand in front of a machine and idk hit a create/craft button instead. While also making the time effort and money we have already invested renderer useless. . Pull your head out of your ass

EU is a game of opportunities. With TWEN, opportunities increased in all professions so no profession is being left out as they all have a part in the economical chain.
In FEN token phase all (active) players had a gain; the hunters contributed with tokens towards the top items from vendor, crafting and mining had a lot of demand to fill so it was a great time for everyone with a growth mindset. I was using (L) weapons and t0-2 UL weapons and I managed to improve my armor, fap, weapons, rings, by the end of the event by selling the MU I looted. It was pretty good to see a handful of really good items for which the entire community had to contribute and everyone gained from them. Best thing is to position yourself as best as you can, as best as your avatar allows it, be it crafting, mining or hunting, go for the most demanded resources and push as had as you can, this is a rare opportunity and the event is for everyone, not just for ubers as some say.
Just as dmg enhancers are crafted or bought from crafters, just like pyrite is mined or bought from miners, tokens will be obtainable from hunting or buying from hunters; players should try and make the most out of the position they build for themselves in the game, out of their main profession.

That same argument could be made of Hunters of the same high level who are the only ones who can press F on the big creatures that nobody else can. Your entire argument is selfishly focused on the profession you chose to invest. You're not seeing the bigger picture.

I proposed level 200 weapons be made by level 100 crafters. That ratio could be played with but it seemed like a good starting point.

Just as dmg enhancers are crafted or bought from crafters, just like pyrite is mined or bought from miners, tokens will be obtainable from hunting or buying from hunters; players should try and make the most out of the position they build for themselves in the game, out of their main profession.
When sells are rare, people will fight for every bit of MU. When you know that in 24 hrs you will sell all the stock, it doesnt matter that much if you get 1 ped less on the stack or not. You can observe it on the damage enhancers you have mentioned before.
There is heavy disproportion in absolute gains vs the effort it requires from the crafter in those "opportunities".
Same goes for mining. Maybe you will name me 1 or 2 resources that have been impacted positively (MU wise) by migration (outside of its regular fluctuation)? And pyrite isnt one of those btw.

Meanwhile hunters do receive tokens proportional to their effort.
More kills > more tokens. Larger mobs > more tokens.

I can see how it is convenient to have other professions supplying your benefit of acquiring more margins just by performing your regular activity.
But maybe its time to ease up on that position and let the rest have a fair benefit from this event. At least as fair as you want it to be to you.
Its a 20 years anniversary of the whole game. Everyone should get something beyond increase of the load of work.

Mate no one cares about mining. Until crafting is overhauled or given more use, there's very little use for mining. The only reason mining exists is because of hunters.

And this is coming from someone who used to FT mine and would rather mine than hunt. But, miners don't pay the bills.

You already have equality. It requires you to participate. To invest. Maybe even to stare at spreadsheets and learn.

You cannot have equity of outcome. It is a faux concept. Communism even at its roots. That requires the people who chose to invest in the game, push themselves hard at a very difficult game, and perhaps strain themselves in mental health during the bad times to be brought down to your level - which may or may not have put any sweat (pun intended) into the game and have been looking for constant hand outs.

So if you recognise the opportunity, what prevents you from seizing it? There are many successful miners and crafters that hunt, on big events. Many high lvl hunters go mining or crafting occasionaly. Players are not born with one profession without the possibility to try out something else, they are entropians, free to choose whatever suits their needs best and it's their responsibility to find the best possible MU.
It is an anniversary and everyone is getting something, more load of "work" can mean more profit, more cheap or even free skills, opportunities to expand.

I understand some people need to use labels, on themselves and/or on others, but that's just unnecessary restricting yourself, maybe it's a good time to try hunting? Ofc you will not have similar results as those who are preparing for this for the last 5 years and invested a lot of resources throughout the years, but it's a start and a really good one imo.

What do you mean with this? If you don't find it fair, remember we're not the one designing these, it's MA, we're only responding. Playerbase responded in a way to invisible armours and player-base responded in another way when MA added a boost to Mayhem Tokens.
If you have some ideas of how events could be improved, maybe make a suggestion thread? Or get behind some ideas you like from other suggestions players have? A quick example is this thread:
