Is Entropia Worth Playing?

i humbly recall everyone that the LOOT Paper is deposited into the gambling authority of sweden therefore apart our speculation or our paranoid thinking, loot engine is always the same as it was in 2018
the real difference is

a smaller playerbase, with increasing "successful survivors"

This commands
1. less people need or wants expensive items because already has a decent setup and/or has settled at certain levels
2. less crafting due to ARIS weapons killing ARMatrix market reducing demand
3. lower cost, more competitors in Enh market (TJ was supertimely, perfect sale) that reduces margin on one side, and allows some hunters to self craft enhancers they need due to AFK Crafting facility
4. did i say reduced playerbase? this has thinned MU margin due to the oversupply of loot that is more than market can absorb. we see 1, 2, 3rd tier of craft (consuctors 1 2 3 4 as an example) that in some cases BARELY cover the click cost with the proposition that being able to break even is already a success

loot engine is the same, but the cake is smaller.... and who ate large chunks now faces a diet ....

Great 1st vid! Would recommend adding a 1-2min gameplay clip of the weeks hunt

This fire does damage? *runs into fire. dies, immediately* 10/10 ending
Thanks, Jayce,

I'll think on it, was going to add any nice MU or hofs, but maybe I'll do some random game play as well. But, I can't put too much time into the videos, I need some time to hunt as well! We will see though.

U will need at least 2 year to profit. 1st year is to skill up and second year capitilize on the events and hope u get some rare drops. Entropia is not a 1 year thing, u need to be more patient.
There are three aspects of the challenge:
1. Make total profit from playing and streaming Entropia. <--- Which, I think there is a decent chance, because I have some badass supporters on my stream.
2. Overall enjoy my time playing the game, more than not. <--- Which, I think has a decent chance as well. I do like the game.
3. Get at min. avg. of 95% TT return. <-- So, I don't need to make profit here. But, I do think this will be the toughest aspect of The Challenge.

If I can't do these things with the gear and skill that I have and will acquire throughout this year, then for me this game is not worth playing and def. not worth creating content for, and I will move on.

For me two years seems rediculous to reach 95% TT return with the skills I already have and the gear I have purchased. I personally could not in good conscious recommend this game to anyone if that was the case.

But remember this is just my opinion and my requirements for the challenge. If they don't get met, they don't get met.

I really do appreciate your perspective though, I know a challenge like this would be different for different people.

Just enjoy the game for what it is. I’ve been playing on and off since 2004, and I still catch myself wondering if it’s 'worth it.' The answer always comes back to the same thing: as long as I’m enjoying the moment, it is. When the fun stops, I simply take a break for a few weeks or months until I feel like coming back.

If you are going to "make" peds from it, just forget it, or invest like crazy and hope for the best! Its like taking a few beer, you dont get rich by doing it but it sure is nice sometimes :D

Week 2 Results are in!! The Botter War has Officially Begun!

88% TT Return

short answer - No, its not worth to play with actual loot returns and wave system. Just better play anything else till they improve it or keep sweating without depo.

Just crazy.

You should not be able to cycle $660 with $10k of gear and lose $80.

They need to close the RTP ranges right down. If you were at 95%rtp you would have been profitable.

MA please pay attention to this. You are killing the majority of players ability to profit. If players can't profit from reasonable cycle amounts the game is dead.

If you're having fun it might be worth it

95% return on the week when socrates shows up and gifts subs and discord invites and offers MA sponsorship? Not coincidental at all joke joke joke

The emotion behind FORRIAN was top notch acting (9:40 volume warning). Grats on the good week man keep it up!

Strash and I did our first Episode of an Entropia Podcast. I didn't want to add another thread, so I'll be posting them here as well if anyone is interested.

Also, if you have any constructive feedback on how we could make things better, it would be appreciated!

I could see where it was heading and pulled out like 70-80% of my in-game value at that time.

I still like this game, I still have all my enhancers BPs and still moving the QRs on the ones not at 100 QR yet.

I do hope MA can turn it around and more new people will join but I only kept an amount I'm willing to lose 🙂

On topic. Well, once you play Entropia, other games just feel like they are even more waste of time than this. 🙂 Value adds interesting element.

90 USD down.. not that bad if you count about 1k ped skill TT manufactured.
just sell 20 ped TT of an ESI and even you are... GG WP.

Planet Calypso, ROCKtropia, Next Island, ARIS, Monria, Howling Mine and Secret Island will all adopt the Genesis Project technology. However, any existing planet that elects not to transition to the new development tools will face a cataclysmic extinction event within four years ( Hold Over Period). Players holding deeds or items from planets choosing not to transition will be offered compensation options via other participating planets.

I'm not done yet, but I certainly wouldn't start again. RCE seemed like a really good idea, but in the end it's just a lot of stress in an otherwise completely boring game. The financial aspect is basically the only strong motivation for a player to continue in the long term.

Most likely at the end of the challenge, I'll be selling all the skill to make up on some losses! :)

I think I'll talk about this with Strash for our next Podcast on Thursday.

Socrates hacks my account. Week 4 results are in!!

So crazy with that load out your TT return is so low.

It makes high end gear pointless. It makes Armatrix pointless. It makes the game (for most players) pointless.

I will keep saying this until the end of the game but RTP payback ranges are too large, it is killing hunting and as a knock on the rest of the game. You should be able to kill 2,000-3,000 mobs and see your true RTP, not 200,000-300,000.

If one of, it not the top, EU streamer is getting crushed like this you have to hope MA pay attention to what is actually happening for every mid-level player. I've stopped hunting for this exact reason. Its just not sustainable for the majority of the player base.

If Bunkers RTP should be around 93-5% with his gear + skills then he would be profitable with MU (as the game should be). Sure he is building up for a HOF 'at some point' but look how much he has to lose for that to build up. Most players quit because of this exact mechanic, close the RTP range and watch retention increase.

If HOFs are just rebalance why not just make the rebalances sooner and keep people sustainably cycling.

So many players I know have stopped playing because of this issue.

Yes, before 2.0 it used to be smaller, and lots of more globals.
