Question: Is Maffoid AI mission in Half Moon Cove still a thing?

Been away for a while and only found AI missions were a thing recently. I think I managed to pick up the one in Half Moon Cove twice. Then Setesh happened and I've done few beginner missions in Camp Icarus on my return from there. It said something about not being able to do missions in Half Moon Cove but I assumed that didn't affect daily AI missions.

Now Android Cassandra acts like she was never anything but a mere adviser and giving out missions is completely out of her scope. And I must say her gaslighting is working and I'm starting to doubt everything I thought I remembered.

Please put me out of this misery. Is it really gone?
 
There are 2 noob maffoid missions I know of but they aren't repeatables or from AI NPCs. And if I'm remembering right, android cassandra wasn't one of the ai npc daily mission givers, just a guide. If i'm remembering wrong, gaslight unintended ;)

Ripcraze still has it on their list of AI missions with Cassandra as a giver. I swear I was able to pick it up a day or two before the Setesh update. I couldn’t have hallucinated it… or could I
 
Last VUs Android Cassandra did give out the a.i. mission which gave you 3 maffoid lines to fill. This VU she doesn't remember any of that.
I think we should all have the conversation with her, that clearly her memory was wiped and she did give out the mission. Maybe she can overwrite her programming and start handing out the mission again, she can then also create the company Cyberdyne systems and make sure Skynet gets live.

It was a reason for me to go to the maffoid village and spend some ped. Right now.. not so much,, meh and meh
 
If you keep going about willing to help her, she has a moment of clarity and says: "Mission parameters are now being uploaded to your personal quest interface. You should receive confirmation of the Maffoid Menace Mitigation assignment momentarily, complete with the three-phase wave elimination objective. Are you now receiving the quest assignment in your interface?", but when you deny that, the light leaves her and she goes back to the routine how everything is peaceful and if you need a guidance around these parts.

You can keep pressing and she will keep doing short detours to the old memory. I spent some times with her trying different approaches but it's like a section of the memory was just cut off, leaving only pieces of it.

It’s broken now. It was working until recent updates. Whoever said the mission wasn’t a thing needs to check their facts first.
 
It would be fair if some random ai mob now had a new mission, since it encourages more interaction with them. Its sad probably just removed

Yea its been removed, nothing posted on notes or anything
I did question regarding it, they said it'd be looked into. but it was the usual
 
I have looked into this and have some information to share, so you don't need to speculate any further:

It is correct that this AI NPC was temporarily giving out missions. This was unintentional, and the NPCs ability to give out missions was disabled as soon as it was discovered.

For some reason, this never made it into any release notes. I have raised the issue internally to ensure that changes like this should be included in the future.
 
While we are talking about AI missions. The npc at camp ic was giving me missions promising me ped on completion. Kept ripping me off and it then said it would report it for me 😂 im still due like 30 PED from him. We’re is my money 😂

Which NPC was this?

Just as a general thing to keep in mind; even if the NPC says they have a mission for you, a mission received from an NPC only counts if it actually appears in your mission log.

At least Boris doesn't forget who he is. The funny thing is that he wrote what he thinks.
 
Little bug: The AI seems to be confused. It tries to convince me that the mission is already active. The screen shows that Alice said the mission was already loaded, but during the conversation she made it active, and we can clearly see that the timer has just started. The same problem occurred with the trader next to her, but the Halfmoon NPC works fine.

This is a known issue and currently being investigated by the responsible team.

It should be fixed in an upcoming patch, hopefully soon.
 
This thread is about the maffoid mission on half moon cove..
Not alice laurent at half moon bay.
If a mission give says you already have it say: give me the mission again.. and you will get it again.
