Item-upgrade paths for a select few weapon amplifiers

Here's where we stand so far. I find it a bit strange the hypercharged A204 is higher in eco than the overcharged A105, but these are the numbers from Entropedia, not anything i can personally verify as of yet. The still very good eco of the over/hypercharged amps makes it a tough call IMO. For any weapon besides the imk2 that will take the full power of the hypercharged, it's probably the best option. As i am thinking in terms of what would be best with a 4.7 dpp weapon, it's a bit different.

:lolup: Hypercharged a204, its over 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

hypercharged 105 is quite disappointing compared to hypercharged 204

5 extra damage versus 12 extra damage

weird that both the overcharg + hypercharg for the 204 adds 6 damage
but the overcharg for the 105 adds 3 damage and the hyper adds 2 damage

looks like some mistake to me,meaning i think that the hyper for 105 was also meant to be +3 in addition to the +3 for the overcharg

Yea, I too found that to be rather weird indeed.

I'm just going to take a stab at it and guess that this is what the table will fill out to be. Looking at the A105 amp it is easy to deduce that the adj = overcharged in TT values as well as the imp = hypercharged. The damage types are rather easy to figure out too I wouldn't put it past MA to make it something along those lines as well.. (this is purely speculation and I don't really have insider information)

Yup probably +2 for adj and imp steps, maybe a +3 on imp step just for kicks. Made same observation about TTs. Also think dpp will stay about the same, although if it did go up, A204 being the uber amp after all, it would make it all that much harder to decide between the two branches.

Improved = more eco and more tt but less damage
Hypercharged = less eco and more tt but more damage

Pretty hard to decide..

If you have a pewpew weapon and want to play around with the different ways of increasing your dps, i made a spreadsheet that you might like.

In it, i filled in the missing items and values from this thread with ones that make sense based on the similar progressions. Most of them are no-brainers that seem pretty likely, but the one that stands out as a bit odd if it's true is the hypercharged A105. If it holds to the pattern, it will have a much lower dpp compared to the overcharged A105 (4.42 vs 4.50), which is already lower than the standard A105 (4.61). This would differ from the A204, in which the hypercharged and overcharged have the same dpp. This wouldn't surprise me because the A204 is the top amp and a hypercharged A105 is obviously an intermediate amp turned into a top amp, but i thought i'd point out that apparent discrepancy.

Obviously we don't know what the interval for the adj/imp A204 is with no previous example available, but a +2 makes sense, i think.

Do we know how these upgrades are beeing done yet?
I mean.. Radiant crystal shard.. Pristine crystal shard.. What's really needed for the upgrades to be done? :)

Obviously it's like this..

a105: Radiant Khada Crystal Shard
a204: Pristine Khada Crystal Shard..

One shard equals one Crystal as its beeing mentioned in the texts. So you wont need multiple shards to make one complete crystal.

Adjusted A105 = Radiant Khada Crystal Shard x1 + A105 + A100 Parts (50)
Improved A105 = Radiant Khada Crystal Shard x2 + Adj A105 + A100 Parts (90)
Overcharged A105 = Radiant Khada Crystal Shard x2 + A105 + A100 (50)
Hypercharged A105 = Radiant Khada Crystal Shard x1 + Overcharged A105 x2
Adjusted A204 = Pristine Khada Crystal Shard x2 + A204 + A100 Parts (100)
Improved A204 = Pristine Khada Crystal Shard x3 + Adj A204 + A100 Parts (100)
Overcharged A204 = Pristine Khada Crystal Shard x1 + A204 + A100 Parts (100)
Hypercharged A204 = Pristine Khada Crystal Shard x1 + Overcharged A204 x2

any1 have more info for matereals blp amps?

thx

Jedi just looted an A204, so there's another one for the pile of MA/FPC screwing with item stats and promoting chaos in the market. A204 was crafted, and was never looted afaik.

Just checking...

So if I want to upgrade my A105, I only need 50 x A100 parts + crystals, and there's no risk of losing my amp, and no need to buy another amp.

Is that correct?

Or does it fail sometimes?

Rick

Never fails. If you need a second 105 amp to upgrade further let me know. Got one for sale cheaper than auction :)

thanks minim for info.

I have 1 x A105 and 1 x A104 I'm cool with that for now ty.

I might upgrade, waiting to see what players think of the revised amps.

Was/is this in the Rare Item section in the Hall of Fame? It's odd that a crafted item is now able to be looted, but it's pretty sweet that the A204 is not slowly being removed from Entropia Universe :)

Rare find HOF and no bp discovery preceded it (plus i kinda doubt he'd be clicking the bp lol).

He had been hunting eomon, which was my first guess anyway. Eomon dropped an adj fap a few years ago...

That is correct. He did not click the AMP from a BP and the BPs from old time PE were destroyed/transformed into shitty e-amp BPs when the conversion from the old time crafting system updated to the previous crafting system to this current one. If that makes any sense to you..

Edit: Basically, crafting has had at least 3-4 "face-lifts" since PE.

Adj 204 was discovered today. Is any info about its dmg and eco available?

Added information on entropiawiki.com the Adjusted Omegaton A204 does +21 damage. No decay test done so far.

Oops, i'd missed that. Checked the auction for the adj a204 last week.

That's too bad. I was thinking we'd at least get +2 on the adj. IMO it would have to have improved eco to justify the cost for that +1.

If you look at the trend from the Adj A105 and the Regular A105 it is a +1 point damage difference; therefore, it is reasonably sound that MA made the adjustment as such A204 >>>> Adj A204 = +1

The Imp A204 will probably be +2 :/ making it a glorified A204 SGA Amp (3 in existence)

Overcharged / hypercharged had +3 increments in A105, +6 in A204. I had assumed +2 for the increments for adj/imp in A204 compared to A105, and with reason, hence my statement that the eco of the adj A204 should be noticeably better or it's a disproportionate upgrade.

Especially looking at the monstrosity that is the mod evil amp. Both a huge increase in damage and eco over the Evil.

We still have yet to a see a mod A105 or A204 though.

I doubt there would ever be a Mod A105/A205 since there is not much "wiggle" room in between the amp levels i.e. +1 +2 etc.. the only way a Mod would appear is to have better overall economy + more tt + lower economy then the current A204's over the Mod.

I would agree with you that the eco of the Adj A204 should be considerably better as well. I guess we will have to wait until a decay test is done; otherwise, the item would be clicked to an Imp and nobody will ever know the decay value of said item.

Well it's official. The A204 adj/imp upgrade path has been taken and it is bullshit. It's just +1 damage for each of the incredibly expensive steps, and no change in amp dpp.

On the bright side, it saves me from any temptation of spending peds on an upgrade for a long time.

I'd like to thank tim tg grey for testing and reporting the statistics of the resulting upgraded amps.

There's no decay for the Adjusted A204 yet.. at least it's not entered into entropiawiki.com.

I have to say the hypercharged amp is a beast. Makes a mod merc surpass a DOA even with the new MOD EVIL amp in DPS. It's crazy, it fits the mod merc perfectly -1.5 dmg from max interval amped.

Yeah the hypercharged upgrade path is grossly unbalanced wrt the adj/imp on the A204. It seems clear MA is trying to direct upgrades that way (not too surprisingly: increased output, decreased eco, and makes laser and blp become even more similar in dpp/dps, which seems to be their intent of late).
