When will the promised affiliate program(s) be fully implemented AND what format will it take, i.e. what are the details on it?

Dev Note 4:
Affiliate Program
MindArk is in the early stages of designing a comprehensive affiliate program that will allow existing EU participants to get rewarded for helping to expand the Entropia Universe user base. We hope to launch that program in the first quarter of 2013. More details will be shared once the initial design of the affiliate program becomes more certain.

Yeah, yeah, I know only one question per thread, but... anyways, as it's related when it is implemented, what format will it take?

Will it be similar scheme to what was planned for compet affiliate program that never got implemented?

In addition, the ComPet affiliate program will enable users to recruit their friends and earn a 15% share of their recruited users’ activity.

or will it be more similar to what the original Entropia affiliate program format was supposed to be originally:

Affiliate Program
In the course of the integration of the CryEngine2 as graphics engine for the Entropia Universe this Affiliate Program was initiated. It offers eligible affiliates the opportunity to receive a 5 year, weekly paid commission on the company´s profits of each newly recruited player.
We absolutely differentiate here from other programs as the duration in which we pay the commission is much longer and not just a one time bonus after reaching a certain turnover.

A main characteristic of this program is the fact that these commissions are also paid if the player who originally registered for Planet Calypso decides to play on other planets inside the Entropia Universe. Of course, First Planet Company´s main interest is to keep the participants on Planet Calypso, but for the commission is only relevant that the initial registration was made for Planet Calypso via our affiliate network.

or will it be something more like a one time deal with commission junction or linkshare with affiliate payment just being for a percentage of one time purchases on webshop or something?

or will it be just allowing others to participate than the few that already have it, using same scheme and method used for those already in the program?

3 affiliate links are publically known so far:

Entropia Life Website: (shakle13401)

Avatar Pig Benis: (bresch14501)

Avatar OzTwo (Opaloman): (OzTwo201411)

4th known link is ped2click/entropiatutorial/venture brothers I believe... i.e. venture brothers...

I use my website www.entropiatutorial.com to recruit new players using my affiliate link.

All you need to do is ask for a link and give them an outline of your affiliate methods. If you are confident you can recruit hundreds of players then make a ticket detailing your plan. If you cant recruit hundreds don't waste MA time. Being an MA affiliate is a job. Not a hobby or for fun. I go to game conferences in Canada and am the Canadian Rep for MA essentially. However I am just an affiliate marketer thus I am not MA staff.

That is as much as I am allowed to detail. You must sign an NDA when you signup as an affiliate.

We do believe that a properly designed affiliate system has lots of potential and it is something that we would like to give higher priority in the future, but our current focus is on other projects.

but our current focus is on other projects.
Like what other projects, with the exception of the new Camera & Control system?
Let's see, recent projects.
Compet - Dead and failed
Deeptoken - Dead and failed.

Probably more stuff that I can't remember atm. Most likely because I repressed it deep within my mind.

You can surely give a vague answer on what you guys are working on atm, without giving false hope? Just want to know what your priorities are at this time.

Awesome, please do. Perhaps a bit less in future and more in present. Also instead of providing this feature to individuals like in past, opening it to the public would pretty much double your current playerbase ( assumption ofcourse based on ideas i would implement while creating a proper affiliate system) and would be an incredible boost to your marketing efforts.

Are you sure about that? Affiliate marketing is one of the most efficient ways that cost you next to no effort at all. Unless... you actually don't want a large number of sign-ups within a short time for whatever reasons...support or server capacity or xyz... i.o.w. are there any known problems with an outlook of rapid growth? Or are you not confident in the current state of the platform and therefore prefer more development first?

This is just my personal opinion, but if MA fixed the game and made it as good as it used to be they wouldn't need a marketing budget as recommendations would bring the new players in - like back in the old days.
