Does material crafting (textures of all variants) have any meaning in this game anymore?

Look at the useless BPs those drops that can't be crafted or simply useless. Tell me, who would use 333x RUGA texture on his coat on 1 field for the sake of look?
Instead you could add a mission to that. This material depending on the percent successfullly aplied on the armor or cloth part, would add some other bonuses such as BUFFs. Yes buffs of all type of variants.

Imagine to have Iron texture on your materials with stats of +7 cut, -1 stab. -2 impact and -10 Electric. For example.

how about look at this profession and give it a nice overhaul? There is soo much potential in this if looked it it right.

All materials will be crafted for the purpose of upgrading and looking at high end result.

textures are PURE VANITY item materials. no effect at all.
the only worth to craft is the generic leather one until the orders in AH are at 110%

personally i try to dump all paints and textures (apart the ones needed to build Viceroy) hoping for 103% from some collector (usually 102)

We are talking about making them more useful. if u dig into the different BPs, u will see like 90%+ are useless. Why bother have such professional if so?
It can have some upgrade to fit all those buffs era we are at.

Craft your self Emon texture and add to your self some +20 impact after adding it to your cloth or armor. Hey, why not? It fits with the evolution of the game. Imagine the crazy amount of hunting and crafting, even mining. All will be busy, super busy!

I like it, especially as a temp buff. +rep.

indeed would be a good idea, using and not removing. arkadia is even worse. all monster drop hides.
and yes a texture could be like a "AP plate" that protects for a TT value of texture against some specific damage
adding defense allow to kill bigger and cycling more ped.
at the end of the TT the texture should loose effect and keep look so also current visual interested gamers are happy

I like the idea of textures adding buffs or protections. The quality of the texture should determine the strength. These textures should degrade over time and/or usage and require a skilled texturer to reapply it. This would rejuvenate the profession and create a lasting markup for a whole lot of junk materials.

Texture crafting is a way to cycle more peds. Everything is connected in Entropia and instead of selling your loot, you could use the crafting machine for more skills and hof chances, get textures, use a texture gun, shoot some textures onto something, get more skills and peds. Then buy nanocubes, run that through the crafting machine via explosive projectile blueprints, recycle those back into shrapnel and away you go hunting again. Each profession plays into the others.

Look into this too.
im not even a hunter but giving free good ideas :)

Good idea right?
