Merry Mayhem spawns have started!

Well, the title says it all: mayhem spawns have started at these locations:

  • Cornundacauda: South of Fort Ithaca (68527,87352), North-West of Fort Zeus (85641,95217), South-West of Camp Caravan (86002,88857), North-East of Fort Ares (80322,80413)
  • Feffoid: West of North Space Base (88383,96443), South-West of Livas (66255,83459), South-West of Fort Argus (75157,91348), South-East of Jurra Plateau (71089,71215)
  • Eviscerator: South-East of Cape Corinth (62341,87899), North-North-West of Nymphtown (85921,81041), North of Fort Troy (80616,69192), West of Fort Troy (77281,68723)
  • Scipulor: South of New Switzerland (26439,58775), South of Timbesha (30899,42190), North of Myrene Island (20079,30656), OLA 66 (38924,42582)

Boring without a scoreboard displaying positions, time spent in event, nr of kills, etc.
Wouldnt be that hard to implement a ig scoretable making it more intresting for all so both participants and others could see status.
Well gl to all maybe these wishes come true one day. :)

I was expecting spawns to be wider and not so mixed.

All 3 of the scip spawns are young -> stalker. You couldn't make one all prowler/stalker?

same with evis. and the spawns are very small. we need a higher density and a spwan with only gen 10/9.
is that possible??

Blast everything away, hunt only high maturity, deploy runners ....

Makes it more interesting. Not just blasting away :)

Having more variation in the spawns would allow for more strategic play, not less.

Having said that, on initial investigation of the Scips I do think there are some small variations in the balance of maturities. It's hardly significant though, and may be an incorrect perception.
 
Great with mixed spawns! Now its not just DPS that matters!
 
I agree, that with mixed spawns it just makes it more interesting. :)
 
umm my peds are still on AOW ftw for cat4.
 
The Evis are looking rather well today. Mostly all I seen though are mixed spawns of 1s-10s, gonna make it very interesting. Almost game on so good luck to all the participants.
 
just curious, how many apis is needed to hunt for 30 hrs.....and how much ammo in peds with Apis + dante comb? I think 300 peds ammo /hr?
 
It's really too bad that all the spawns include a full range of maturities, but I think it's especially a problem because some of us out there aren't able to take on the largest maturity of these mobs.

I'm in the bottom tier, and hunt Cornundacaudas a lot, but a Cornundacauda Stalker will eviscerate me unless I'm incredibly lucky. I was hoping that the four new spawns for each mob type would include a smaller range of maturities. Maybe one for Young-Old, one for Prowler-Stalker, and the two others spanning the maturities in between (or something like that).

As it is, I'm going to be avoiding these new spawns and hunting corns in the same place I always have.

if you dont stop shooting you can shoot about 500 ped/hour. Plus decay about 220 ped. Plus fap, armor decay, markup ... should be around 800 ped/hour.
So 30 hours is about 24k ped.
If you get a return of 90%, it will cost you 2400 ped only to get a Mayhem Armor part :O

Only if you make it in the top 10 tho ;p

Yup back when I use to use that stuff it cost me about 400-500 PEDs for about 1.5 Hours of non-stop shooting. I don't remember exactly about how long the Apis last though.
 
Last year spawning method was much better, bumping upp existing maturity spawns not adding completly new with mixed maturities :/

I apologize for what I'm going to say here, but I think my opinion is worth a pec or 2.


Fixing a bug is one thing, but changing the rules of competition during an event... ?

What with people who have invested in pk gear, because pk was going to be a part of the strategy of some groups, since Myrene (best spawn/landscape untill now) is pvp zone?

What with people who have bought bigger TP chips because the revive of Myrene is so far?

What with people who have calibrated their hunting hours, so that they will not clash with other hunters in pvp?
This can all work into the disadvantage of people who have put in good effort in this contest, and be the advantage to the late starters.

I wonder if this 'new spawn' thingy has been thought through, or whether it is a spontanous action by someone at FPC who is doing the 'holiday shift'.

This is just wrong. You shouldn't change the parameters of an event in the middle of the event. :bs:

What maturities?

I'm with Naomi and Xen on this one. While I'm personally happy to see more mobs, changing the spawns mid-event is unfair. It's not the PK aspect that bothers me but the possibility that some people have already put in a lot of hours only to find that the spawns have later improved.

same mixed maturity as other spawns.
no pvp zone
good landscape to hunt
way closer to revival then myrene.

in other words,... teams who haven't started yet, have a better chance now. Teams who have put most effort in it alraedy, are likely to be in disadvantage.
Probably FPC did this to do good,...

imagine playing a game with dies, you can decide when you start participating in that game, and after 20% of the games' progress, the management decides to add a '7' to the dies...

Wow, Scips is above my category but I am going to have to totally agree with them on this one, adding to a spawn now is just unfair to some. Please, Please do not change, add or modify the Eviscerator Spawns in any way, shape, or form. I am already about 15 hours into my log in time and if you were to all of a sudden add a new spawn of nothing but low maturity Evi this would make my first 15 hours of hunting a complete waste of time. A lot of the 15 hours so far was spent running around Secret Area pulling lower maturities away from the evil Evi 10s.

PS: Very glad you care but this should have been done before the event started not during the event. Maybe there should be some way that FPC/MA whoever does it can have a way of testing this type of stuff before it is released. I dunno im no computer programming Guru just a simple Hunter. Thanks for the attempt to please everyone though, unfortunately you can't please everyone, Lol.

As the ol saying goes, EU is dynamic. Just wait until you buy an estate and it does not work for a month or more... or maybe some weapon that has a dual purpose but you can only use it for one thing since the other system that it's meant for is gone for over a year (taming).

You didnt add anything you just failed again and again and again....
