g'day everyone!

in this thread i'd like to collect ideas and thoughts, how mindark could make YOU happy, with tiny little things that don't need massive development, or change any critical system, and could be delivered in nearly no time.

examples:

let us set auction prices down to a single pec, and reduce the base cost from 50 pec to 3 pec multiplied by your current number of auctions

or

i want the improved participant communication mr. moreau made me dream about ... 2014

please be creative and as constructive as possible, and keep the negative & forbidden stuff at EP where it's allowed. :silly2:

1. Fix the colliders on mobs.
Nothing worse than hunting Diakba and ending up inside them because their collider box is smaller than their animation mesh.

2. Fix the synchronisation with weapons / faps and their sound affects and animations.
One animation for 2 fap cycles is really offputting...

3. (A big one) - Return the item drops like pre-VU10. Even if they become common items and the MU of them drops.
This one is one that would return the fun for me. It is very disheartening to get nothing but oils and hides with the very very occasional low TT weapon. I want to be able to hunt long and hard and come back after a couple of months with a full armour set.
I don't care if A10x series amps turn into TT fodder, I am not in this game for the 'financial incentive, or investment. I am in it for the fun and experience. The days of looting a Maddox IV, or hunting the right mobs to complete my Vigi set were the best in my 13 years of this game.

4. Make (L) crafted items better than the dropped equivalents (see point 3).

Point 3 would work if this was true of all items, as it would put more money into MA coffers for people to use the dropped items than the crafted, and would mean MA would have to turn on the taps for the components / material drops so crafters can work their magic.

5. GET RID OF EPIV

i don't consider removal of EP a simple small change, players have BPs which they bought and levelled.

It would be better to alter than remove, like remove Nanocubes from TT and make shrapnel be refined into them, maybe with sweat

More incentives to progress:

Skill unlocks actually unlocks certain effects/bonuses in addition to just being skill modifiers, similar to the buffs given from rings etc but without stacking above the current buf cap.

For example:
- Kill Strike to give 1% focus blow
- Marksmanship gives 5+ range
- RDA gives +5 range
- Wounding gives 0,5% focus blow
- Medicine: Applies additional heal over time for X amount
- Treatment: Same but more.
- Doctor: Same but more + Y amount of evade/dodge buff for X minutes


New unlocks based on equipment tier progress (tied to the particular item):
- Like tier 3, 6 and 9 gives X unlock in addition to the unlocked socket.

Player skill ranking
- Just like soc skill list and an individual can select to be part of the ranking or not.

Improve loot wave system. It causes the biggest frustration and it's the easiest thing to fix and there are a dosen of things you could tweak it to make things right...... do it before migration !!!

im in for the most basic thing. make a road map and stay at least barely within its timeframe... because nothing is more annoying than all the half-dead content implemented. to improve this how about a little.. and im talking about a tiny little bit... of communication. if you would just give us 10% of the information of the least communicative developer on the market i would be happy.

Cost to tier higher end armor is a bit ridiculous, especially with market prices now you pay more to tier a part to just 3 than it cost for the part... I thought they said they were going to lower tiering costs some years back?

- Add something to the recipe for Explosives from loot. Not to make it more expensive to craft, but to let hunters/miners cycle (bit less cubes, replaces with something else).

- We should be able to use PEC when setting auction prices, and the Auction fee should be very small for tiny transactions.

- We don't need loot in every mob. Better to have a few nice things now and then, than a lot of small crap. Still, for "puny" mobtypes maybe some loot in most all mobs is good - those hunting them may be starters on a "sweat" economy doing short runs. Hence more dependent on loot from all kills.

- Sit, lay down. We get tired and may need rest.

- Get rid of the different types of ME. We need only one, the original. If you do, perhaps Vibrant Sweat might go up a very little in price.

- I never thought "magic rings" belonged in EU. They are more for WoW etc. Now we have them, but how about not releasing more. Be creative, make something more "scifi" to replace them. Like a new type of implants that will basically give the buff's rings can give - but from tech. Better for the storyline.

They kinda did when they removed the duplicate item required to tier.

i think they need to bring us more reasons to tier, instead of just the enhancers we have now. give us a reason to tier an opalo or Pixie

That will make all ubers even more super eco automatically cos they will have all the unlock buffs immediately.

We did have the chance, pre cry engine update. Our inventory had a section for "bionic items" which was never implemented. As I stated in another post in another thread in PCF a few months ago, that would have allowed them expansion of buff items to other body parts such as foot, arm, etc etc.

As for fitting the sci fi storyline, dont forget that Toulan is set as an Arabic Fantasy. They can still fix it by having bionic items in any other part of the universe being given a localised name / items (scarve, ring, bracelet, etc instead of bionic parts) when you enter Toulan, but with the same buffs. And upon leaving toulan, it reverts back to the sci fi names / icons,

Fix the hitbox issue with hunting on auto-move-to-target for good. There have been improvements, but adjusting a screw here and there did not remove the fundamental problem.

Fix UI annoyances which have been reported over and over for years: Storage to open next to inventory, save map status, save waypoints. Make items sortable within their inventory compartment, automatically group by set (armour and clothes; materials by category as in the auction house). Move treasures in inventory to mined resources, since they are mined and the materials tab is really overfull.

The client does not handle network errors gracefully. There is no good reason why the whole heavyweight client is forced to shut down upon a timeout, even if the gap is too long and a re-login necessary. It would save time and money especially in situations where you lost connection right in the middle of hunting and scramble to get back while your mob regenerates. Kick your network guy out of the LAN and place him in a mountain cabin with only a 3G stick for a week.

Unshrink ancient pets (this was a cardinal sin). Restore the old Minopolis. Restore the old Jason Centre. Stop laying waste to every nice place on Calypso.

You could put Hiryuu spawns on the rooftops of the four huge buildings at Fort Ithaca (fun to fly up there and fall off again...), and around the sky platforms at Athena Spaceport. This mob is still a pain to gather in numbers for the mission.

Athena Spaceport - it is highly counterintuitive that vehicles are banned from it. Make it viable using the sky platforms to launch into space. This will be popular because it saves fuel to start from higher elevation. Put televators near the main tp, because the way up there is too long when doing it often. The whole place is spectacularly pretty and sadly underused.

Improve the availability of Dianthus, Pyrite and Dunkel. (I am not subscribing to any theory about hoarding, caps, or whatever. Only MA knows, they made it so. I'm asking to revise the decision.)

Do something to make weapon economy enhancers usable, at least so that they don't worsen economy. Their markup is prohibitive and a turn-off to players who find this out the hard way. If they just serve to stretch durability, this would be useful in some cases. Maybe renaming them to Weapon Durability Enhancer would help people getting off the wrong idea, along with improved resource availability. Unlimited blueprints would make sense then, too.

Add a Divine Drake to Next Island, offering players a choice to exercise preference when doing the mission for their DI chip (5 out of 6), and thereby also making a statement that Next Island is to be preserved. (If we want to take it further out, there could be a divine space mob also, which makes it 5 out of 7; or even a potential expansion of the DI mission to two stronger chips with even higher intervention chance, obtainable after the relevant stages for Imp/Mod Resto for which you need to do 6 and all 7, respectively.)

Offer the possibility to return an Adjusted or Improved Restoration Chip to Dread Castamir for continuing the mission to a higher chip. This way some selling pressure is taken away, at least from those who wish to upgrade. Market prices have already fallen below cost to make a new one, this had to be anticipated.

Scrap the non-refundable auction fee. Take your 5% of the markup upon a successful sale, this is still above shopping tax. Or maybe take 10% up to the first 1 ped to compensate for the lost pedestal and the load when this change leads to increased number of listings. As it is, market stats are deceiving as they don't give a clue about the number of unsuccessful attempts. Every newbie learning the hard way from trying to sell a Rubio, Lancehead or freshly crafted Jester feels betrayed and pushed a little closer to quitting.

Most of the above points have been sent in via support over the years. Thank you for your kind consideration.
