Mining with profit : Monthly results

I really, really would like to give mining a serious go but it is so boring. I noticed there are some spots on Cyrene where the average markup is very high even with F101 and it would be very much possible if I don't flood the market. Any tips for making it more fun?

I concider Cyrene more like a hunting planet.

For me way too many mobs to do some mining, I prefer open spots without mobs.

Another month has past, sales went up a bit but still with much fillers, it takes time to sell them for a decent %

So in between I'll just hunt some mobs or stand @ auction (mostly) awaiting sales, and the same happends with hunting loot ...

Unless you sell cheap and make losses or break even, it's impossible to keep mining/hunting @ a decent rate.

But returns are very stable as you can see, cant complain about that.

EDIT : forgot to mention I got a new finder this month : MD-40 !!! :woot:

Vacations are over, so hope sales will go back to normal.
2 months of terrible slow sales, so less mining again ...

No amps are use, only depth enhancers since amps only ggive more fillers and those I want to avoid.

So at current market you are able to cycle about 10k a month?

Looking at it from the bright side, despite such a cycle not going to give insane skills that is still thousands upon thousands of free lottery tickets and a slight profit.

Did you notice any difference during the past week during the event?

I only mine what I need to keep my stock up, no need to keep mining if nothing sells :cautious:

Skills are worthless

These numbers are from 8 months ... so a LOT less than I used to mine in the years before, like 20K unamped / month was no exception ...

Cycling less or more does not make any difference cause TT return is always about the same average.

When there are events ... it's alway's bad.

Crafting ... mining ... seems most returns go into the event and less in other things but in the end it always goes back to the normal averages ...

This will be the last time posting results this year.

As economy is still slow, no need to post on a montly base or keep filling storage.

My equipment :

Finders :
F-101 T7 - F-102 T4 - F-103 T5 - F-104 T7 - F-105 T5 - F-106 T1
MD10 T4 - MD40 T4

Skills are only needed to use different finders, but the results will be the same in TT returns, in the end always around 95%.
Meaning cheap sales will get you broke or you will need more depo's

Extractors : 3 x [Rookie Rock Ripper] - 1 x [Exhumer Mk1]

Refiner : [Transformer T-105]

As it doesn't matter if you mine daily for 100 ped or 10K peds ... the average TT return stays the same.
Mining less and selling in smaller stacks gives you more profit because you can sell at a higher percentage and it takes you much less time to mine.

For me the most important is that TT returns stay around 95% and that I make some profit after sales.
Considering that refining and extracting is not free, means I need to sell for at least over 105-106%

I didn't expect it, but sales picked up again, so I had to replenish my stock.

But I really started mining specifically for the high MUs and mostly replenished the shortages at auction, especially for enmatters so usually on other planets and it shows in the results.

As always with a hunting event, and especially with MM, TT returns drop, but fortunately I was able to compensate for that with the higher MU's and the TT return... Ultimately, the results are roughly the same as always.

As it doesn't matter if you mine daily for 100 ped or 10K peds ... the average TT return stays the same.

Starting new finder results for 2026

In the meantime, I have started to keep even better records of my mining data / finder

As I mentioned last month, I am currently mining mainly for enmatters, as these have the highest MU's and in the last 2 weeks I already got 40% up in my skills although those doesn't matter at all.

I use the finder that gives me the most high MU's, store them and only sell when they peak in sales, talking about resources between 150-200% or higher.
You can easily see this in the ‘market value’.
Who would have expected that mid-level finders would yield the best results for enmatters in single drops.

All other ‘regular’ resources are sold daily so that I can continue mining and also achieve high sales figures and enlarge my stock.

As you can see, you can achieve good results with any finder (with or without enhancers).

Therefore, don't just count your TT return, but also your sales MU's, and you will get very different results.

As always, NO amps (they only yield more fillers), pets (not worth going faster imo) are being used.

All finders are maxed.

All numbers include decay/costs

Why mostly UNL finders?
You do not loose MU from those.
The Ziplex series I craft myself

Why only % and no ped amount?
Because mining for 100 ped or 10K ped will give the same %

Why single drop?
Ground composition changes when doing single drops.

As I said, in 2026 I will only mine for MU (150% and above), and most of the time this will be enm, with occasional ore.

The advantage is that even if I have a low TT return, I will still come out ahead after the sale in most cases.

As you can see, I have completely adapted my spreadsheet for this year with :

Depth - finder - average Hit Rating - TT return - TT + MU + in addition, the various claims in a run.

EDIT :
No amps have been used to keep HR up and getting less fillers.
If you see 2 or 3 rows next to a certain finder is because I'm mining @ 2-3 different servers

And in the end, all the averages !!! So far, ONLY enmatter results.

First I want to thank MA for getting the MU's up on auction.
Is this because of the mining botters or is there more happining?
Posting already cause there are still discussions about low HR ... but seems unamped mining is not affected by it
From the start of this year till now, my HR was very stable, and my returns where even getting better with a bit more multi's.

EDIT cause I was getting questions about the TM4 results :

As the TM4 and the F105 + 6 enhancers have the same depth, I wanted to check if it was worth spending that much decay and I think the result says it all.
I'll be tiering my F-105 + 6 up to T7 for enmatters for sure.
Results with ores might give a totall different story next month ;)

So far I had some great ups and downs.

I still cant complain, even when in the last 2 weeks I also had terrible HR, even dropping like 22% and 26%, in the end, the results are still more than ok.

Since I went for ores now with over 150% I had to go deeper so only using a few different finders.

No amps have been used to keep HR up and getting less fillers.
I mine for quality, not quantity, spending less time mining for better results.
No pet, pills where use neither, pure mining.
Mining boxes, fruits, stones where not counted.
If you see 2 or 3 rows next to a certain finder it's because I'm mining @ 2-3 different servers

Why this log?
This allows me to better track my progress and adjust my mining style for the best results.
At the start of each new year, the counters are reset to 0 to obtain an annual average.

Today I finished more runs for ores and I must say, what a differende in HR.
If this is the new standard ... I see lots of MU's going up and I'm already changing some MU's

Thank you BUT ... I'm afraid it's already dropping to around 80% TT :(

I count everything from 2026, so the HR and returns will drop further since in the last 2 weeks HR dropped hard.

For now I'm not very worried since if my TT return drops to 80% I still stay positive after sales with the MU these days cause selling in small stacks

I mine in a special way and only 2 other miners do the same (tiny secret) but if HR stays this low, MU's need to go up but some are already going up.

Not selling much and keeping an eye what will happen now.

I changed the heather to + totall 2026, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Soon everyone will see the same HR and return....is just a matter of time until everyone get theyer payback and start to go on the new way...just a little bit more.

So you publicly admit that you mine in a specific way, having a "tiny secret" and also publicly stated that you have TT profits for the last 3 months or so?

To me that doesn't sound like smart mining, it sounds like a bug exploit.

Ive been mining like that for about 20-25 years ... No exploits, just lots of testing and common sence.

Specific finders @ specific servers works magical, more info in my first post.

Common sense has told me something has definitely changed at least my data shows right around 28% hit rate which has changed recently vs years past. I also have done very well for myself. Could be still temporary, not sure. What I would say is holding resources for awhile and waiting for the the markup to go up before selling would most likely be in most of our best interest.

Indeed, for now I'm mostly only selling fillers, but I do not have big amounts.

I started the year very well, but even as a unamped miner, my HR went down like in Agg's threat.

From next week I'll be back mining only enm and see if that changed since I was already around 28 HR ... cant go much lower :rolleyes:
