in correct...

3 were won.. but one of the 3 was listed for a buyout on auction... so even though you see 9... it doesnt mean MA listed 9 ;) because there were won...

in other words... there is only 11 total motherships in players hands atm... not 12

and we have normandie mothership, a classic name; 20 min have passed so far and it's up to 44444 ped by minken who seems to be in a hurry to get a ship :)
 
Looks like Minken, Akoz & John Black Knight will be the people contending for the Normandie.

Akoz & Minken have been strong bidders recently, will be a good auction.

I think MA should keep putting them in AUC as long as they get >50K/MS.

MA needs Cash... and let it come from people who can afford it :)

MA has now found a way to make money - not telling how many MamaBoats that will be sold - i just hope they continue pumping MamaBoats on the auction as long as there is a demand for it.

When MA has a goos economy it is good for all of us. So just keep pumping Boads on the marked as long as there is a Boad Pappa that want to buy.

The more MamaBoats in space the more ore the need, the more crafted stuff they need and at last the more decay they will get when the MamaBoats are so many that they dont have to fly to shoot at another MamaBoat :)

kinda... but it seems already over crowded... if u look there are like 9-10 ships over calypso... far too many...

Im optimistic that the second space release will move them :)

Most ship owners may still be busy assembling everything for the upgrades and getting a standard crew lined up.
 
new ship listed on auction about three hours ago, the Varyag, named in honor of the last noise Skalman made after ingesting a bit too much vodka. auction will end around 2011-07-02 ~16:00 UTC.

Amusing history on the latest mothership to slip the berth:

Varyag (Russian: Варяг) was to be an Admiral Kuznetsov class multirole aircraft carrier of the Soviet Union. She was known as Riga[3] when her keel was laid down at Shipyard 444 (now Nikolayev South) in Nikolayev December 6, 1985.[4]
Design of the carrier was undertaken by the Nevskoye Planning and Design Bureau.[5] She was launched December 4, 1988, but she was renamed Varyag (Varangian) in late 1990, after the famous Russian cruiser.

Construction stopped by 1992, with the ship structurally complete but without electronics. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union, ownership was transferred to Ukraine; the ship was laid up, unmaintained, then stripped. In early 1998, she lacked engines, a rudder, and much of her operating systems, and was put up for auction.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) purchased it at auction for US$20 million.[6] It was widely reported that the ship would become a casino in the Chinese SAR of Macau. This has been proven incorrect as the ship is docked in Dalian and painted PLAN grey. The Chinese Navy has reportedly named the carrier Shi Lang and received delivery of the ship in October 2010.[7] Defense News and Intelligence sources claim that the ship has been refitted and will be put through Sea Trials in the summer of 2011.[8]
