I can confirm that Krom is still the same person that found the Jackpot! I was his mentor

I want to point out that MA should have better guidance to all beginners, Insted thay let other players guide you through it without experiences, most mentors only think of that stupid reward.

I started and playing in 2007 i chose the right path in EU, I mean to go out eco and hunt is same lvl BS and etc. MA keep telling us go out and hunt eco and its dynamic, dont look for the hof it will find YOU, Well that dident help me much just have a look in my tracker and see i dont have hits with sib guns and shit!

So when i introduced the game for Krom in 2013, I chose to take a different path for him, coz i know he is not afraid of gambling, He hunted all mobs above his lvl and he used only non sib guns, he hired mod-fap everyday, so the guy has put a lot of money in the game, so STOP thinking that it is your peds he has lootat, While others live on selling items they have looted during Alpha/Beta


Both me and Krom We do not have the same objective and believe as most of the players in EU, Investing is not our thing, the only thing we invest in is ammo!!

Well I hate to burst your bubble but this is a very strange idea indeed...

I never doubted Alan is still the Alan, cuz I've seen him around. With such a famous name u are ofc curious - how is he hunting and what he's doing out there. Few months ago we were hunting Argo Elites near Troy, the loot was average at first, and then disappeared completely. I kept going for another ~50 mobs and then switched to another mob, Alan just kept going like nothing happened...

Now, I might be wrong but I have always believed these loot changes in those wave-like patterns is kinda like a CAPTHCA test (= "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart") built into the game to make it harder to use hunting bots. Cuz humans can see patterns in loot, to program an AI to detect and interpret those patterns, however, is incredibly complex task. Pretty much impossible.
Another reason why these dynamic patterns are there is prolly to keep us on alert and make the game more interesting. I can't prove any of that, obviously, but that's what I think...

So, anyway, I see Alan still hunts like a crazy man who tries to throw as much peds at the game as fast as possible. This tactic is commonly known as "shaking the tree". I have seen best players in PE/EU do this and very successfully. I also know how carefully they were choosing the right place and right time (when to stop) while using this technique.
Basically, it seems this tactic was what his mentor told him to use and which quite possibly also was the main reason why he was the guy who got this incredible ATH 2.5 years ago. Amazing achievement!
Then again, it seems the recipe wasn't exactly complete...

Now, don't get me wrong, I would never dare to criticize another person's playstyle as long as it works and he's happy with it.
It's when u say u not happy but still keep doing the same stuff over and over... then I think it may be a good time to stop, take a step back and think it over.

Thing is most of your tracker is on hunting and depending on how you hunt you wont see large hofs because the system has a habit of kicking out 100% to 200% hunts every now and then to balance you out (100%+ hunts your still paying ma's fee mind you). Thats if you hunt everyday or at least 3 times a week. If you look at two types of crafters you see what i mean. ie a crafter who does it for profit / qty and a gambler crafter who does it on condition.

I dunno i got a weird way looking at the loot system that their is a personal loot pool which calculates it by units ie argonaut = 1 unit doesn't matter what weapon you use to kill it its still 1 unit. Then your competing against other avatars with what available ped is in the system at the current time(minus ma fees pps etc). i could go on but this isn't a loot theory discussion and i am most likely terribly wrong, but thats what i see from my crafting and hunting. So alnn could well be right with pyramid type system although with recent high hofs on small mobs i think its changing slightly.

I guess it comes down to what you consider "playing", which in EU is a very subjective thing based upon deposit level possible, and goals that are possible to be achieved on what you have.

Like myself i deposit but can't sustain big losses and so have to get smart about how i recover from low phases. I heal, sell loot slowly in smaller stacks, sometimes buy up things i think will make me a little to try and balance the books.

Others i know with more time and ped bankroll ride through low times and their mantra is turnover,turnover, turnover.

No right or wrong in whatever way people play, as long as it's enjoyable . Still waiting for my uber multiplier, but tbh i enjoy what i do so not really a big issue.

So many people seem to forget that age and experience is also a factor...had I received that ATH in my first 2 years of playing i would have probably spent it all buying shadow armor and some DOA at level 10 and be broke in a year ) It's true it does not seem that wisdom has truly made its way inside here but a life lesson must have been learnt at least

What most people forget is that those "spamming" hoflist has a HUGE turnover that most can't even imagine the size of. Try running that turnover even for a day
