I would think we would steer clear of such things. We have enough adrenaline flowing already with jet ski´s and such other activities. Hoping we can go to a adrenaline park if one exists close to where we are...
I doubt we have many stoners but if there are some, they can always get they´re hits in private ;)

ok now go quick, convert it back to centimeter or else ur supposed have feet then inches.
i believe that is 6 ft 3½ inches (12 inches = 1 foot). which is pretty tall =)

hmm, i have now written all of this and cant figure out why anyone would want ot know all of this.

anyways, i hope to get my holidays for the week confirmed soon. in any cse i havent smoked weed/hash 3 years, but if we are in amsterdam then i think i will smoke some (even though i shouldnt), jsut has to be better than anything i have had before ;)

I was in the dam for a week in April, my 4th visit to this wonderful city. Such a great city and you guys an gals are gonna have a hoot. Check out the Lemongrass Wok, almost opposite the canal cruise's boarding peir on Dansak, the main road leading to Central Station. You can get cheap noodles and rice there, next door get a bagfull of chips covered in mayonaisse MMmm!

The Grasshopper is a good place to hang out. Restuarant upstairs, dance floor next down, bar next down and coffee shop basement. Its the first left off dansak, next to the canal cruise place again.

Its also on the edge of the red light district which is a MUST see for everyone:eek:

If anyone needs a nice place to stay I personally recommend the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel. Directly opposite Central Station, and at 170 euro a night for the Executive Suite a couple can stay in luxory, on a super kingsize bed in a fully air con room right next to the heart of the city. Breakfast is expensive in the hotels and can be found a lot cheaper in the local cafe's, but of course, you can eat as much as you like at the hotel without paying any extra.

I also recommend the Holland Casino. 14 euro taxi fare from the Victoria hotel, the Hard Rock Cafe is next door so you could check both out at same time - if youve never been to a RL casino remember to take your passport.

This is one place you wont get bored of!!

also, for those who might find hotel breakfast too expensive: supermarkets are nearby, whihc have warm freshly baked bread (also bakerys nearby prolly), and cold drinks (and you can even get cold beer if you want to later on the day) and it aint expensive...

for about € 5,00 you can get a very good breakfast in holland...
 
Ok then, we need to start confirming the hostel situation, I usually prefer staying here http://www.flyingpig.nl/index.shtml , usually the downtown hostel as it is right by Centraal station, although the beach hostel is new since I last visited and could be fun for those staying for more than the weekend. Please let me know what you think as soon as possible as we will need to book, Downtown was €27.90 p.p.p.n. but I could only check for a 6 person booking. I think we will need to book in smaller groups, ask for the same size dorms and shuffle around a bit when we get there. Opinions asap please. :D

Ok, count me and my girlfriend (Saphira Lucky Star) in. We'll arriving the 30:th, not sure when we're leaving yet. And be ready with champagne at the airport because it's Luckys birthday:D

Cheap breakfast and a good place to stay!

Enjoy it Hon, its a great time and it doesnt last that long :hug: It gets harder before it gets easier, but dont ever wish the time away.
You miss some stuff but you have many great things to make up for it :)

Cant make it to Amsterdam hope you all have a great time :yay:

Ok, I think I have updated everyone on the list so far, if I have missed you then please let me know, but it's good to see so many people interested in joining in for this meet up. I am really looking forward to this trip and it's less than a month now. :yay:

Hostel info:

I have been unable to arrange a large group booking with a hostel as they seem unwilling to accept a single group of our size, especially as I cannot provide firm numbers. It looks like we will need to split into groups of 4-6 and book as separate groups or even individually, but in the same hostel. If we can't book all the groups into the same hostel then we can at least ensure we are within a few minutes walk of each other to make meeting up each day as easy as possible. There are so many hostels in Amsterdam that this will be fairly easy to arrange.

I would suggest that you look at the list of those interested in staying at a hostel and make arrangements for your groups based on who you know ingame, then confirm the group here and which hostel you are booking into. Please be willing to accept another person into your group if it helps balance the numbers.

If you look at a different hostel than The Flying Pig - Downtown then I suggest looking for a place within a few minutes walk of Centraal Station as The Pig is close by also.

HI all you party people. I am looking to share in the hostel bookings. Anyone got a space left in their group? I will be there for a week (arriving on the Thursday a nd leaving on the Wed) Please let me know soon if there is a group I can join.
Please note I am not in NCI anymore but in Veritas Illuminati now.... small point but just thought I would let you know.
