Well.... The acctual story line regarding the item kinda fades away as the "main" story progressed and left the item hanging but this atleast gives the waiting an end while the acctual story crashed years ago

MA created a "players vs. the system" PVP event consisting of "RX units". MA employees using special heavily armed and high skilled avatars. Rick got the "special item", but couldn't figure any way to work it. Years later, many think Ter's just refusing to tell anyone the truth, but others suspect that MA simply never got the item working right and just left Ter holding a dud. Some believe Ter eventually sold the item to someone else more willing to "speculate" on its worth.

It's nice to see that Ter did in fact actually keep the item, and 4 years after the event where he won it, finally got something pretty special
