Once upon a time I looked forward to an update not dreaded what it would take from me that I could do the day before.
agreed!
Once upon a time...It didnt take a supercomputer to run this freakin game!
lol that is sooooo true.
This game was excellent because it as a very strong community spirit, mabe the stronger I ever seen among load of mmog. Its probably because of it there is a little spark remaining today...
Inside PE it was possible to make real friends, with all the feelings due to a friendship, often international friends. Friendship can make some times before being strong enough to travel to another country, just because Eu was the link, the cement of this, just because during some years of our short life on this planet, whe had fun together under the same sky, this vanilla sky powered by game brio.
yup, I always did say it was the people that reall made the game, things didn't have to be fancy as we all have good imaginations. Shame a lot of these players have left now that the game changed so much and not for the better either.
Once Upon A Time In Entropia..........
....you didn't need hundreds of cans of paint to get something coloured
....the game system was easier to understand
....you could play 'bubble tag' with the concentration bubbles
....there were great unique areas to go and visit / sight see e.g. the cave, spiral mountain, strange statue on the top of a high mountain, super saturated psychedelic swirly ground area, rainbow fog, island not shown on the map that was miles away.
....you could drop single bottles of sweat/fruit/small items to use for decorating a room or put on a carpet to make a nice picnic.
.... you could sit/lie down on ur 'blanket' to have a picnic and not need to take a chair.
....you could play chess with single low cost items on the black and white floor of the auction rooms when it was quiet.
....there was a shop decorating competition...what happened to that? did it ever end?
....Avatars look like grown-ups
....Armour didn't make ur butt look massive
....armour shins and thighs could be worn to look like thigh boots.
....you could end up with so much adrenalin after a massive mob attack (Barneys/Faucervix with some crazy Delta Academy dudes in my case) or trying not to get killed whilst being the distracting runner for rig take over that you couldn't type because you were shaking so much (and had to log off for a calm down drink in my case after the Barney mob hunt!!)
....we had hope that after the cry engine update all our old beauty spots that we would do sight seeing tours to would be more beautiful and realistic instead of not there anymore.
....soc chat used to be funny where we would discuss a multitude of topics from real life and have a huge laugh.
....avatars could get close enough to cuddle and kiss (actually could morph together).
....we all had hopes that the door way leading under the sacrificial stone at the Thorifoid temple would be opened by putting some stones or gems in the backs of the satutes that surrounded it and lead to a whole underground Thorio area. I totally loved that place.
....New Oxford was totally pvp so getting to the shops under the Deer/galleries/houses was a daunting experience.
....the bridge at New Ox was totally black (probably what made the cost of black paint so expensive due to rarity as they had used most of it up on the bridge ;P)
....the cave under the deer at the side of the wee shanty town could only be accessed through a bugged part in the cave wall which you could walk through. Was totally dark and so you had to use swords and things to light it up and could only leave if u t'd out.
....glowing objects like swords/fists etc really gave off a lot of light.
....growth molecules glowed and animated like blue fire (loved that)
....we could stick things up on walls in and out of apartments and not need a sticky plate which made decorating much more creative and treasure hunts much more interesting.
....we had more fun.
