Great to hear about people with the attitude of helping others get established, rather than seeing new players as troublesome noobs - they are the future of this game. Our Soc leader Serica shares the same philosophy, no matter how busy she is.:thumbup:

The word "nice" has been used about this couple, and I would have to echo this sentiment wholeheartedly. Warm, friendly and accepting of others - Aussie traits which these guys embrace.

Having experienced their hospitality recently, their sense of fun and enthusiasm shines throgh. Dave burns a mean sausage :laugh:, and Missa's pasta salad was simply delicious. :yay:

I'm jealous that I couldn't attend the BBQ :( Definitely two of the nicest people I've met in EU and hope to meet IRL!

Yes, can't disagree there :)

But don't discount the other people at the BBQ being just as nice :silly2:, well sometimes :D

Superb job MS9 for this eloquent expose’s of good mates and what are one of the quintessential couples in EU! ...The vid was absolutely awesome and commendable as one of your best !

Missa and Dave hark back a few years and really have come to the fore as emeritus identities , I’m sure this opinion extends many others as well !

I met online with Dave not long after I came into EU 2006 at Camp Phoenix and was mentored by Dave as a member of ‘Global Alliance’ up until to graduation and beyond.

During this journey along came Missa who has been a shining light and compatriot for myself and all in Global Alliance and its Guard society... I am sure oodles (many) in EU would support Missa’s beatification as a Saint of EU :D

I recall on my birthday last January Dave and Missa sprung some black pants on me (slacks) and I was overwhelmed with Dave and Missa ‘s generosity and common down to earth loyalty in EU!

Missa and Dave and many other EU identities met up in RL at the Perth at the GO3 Summit mid last year. We all got to know each other over a few beers after exhausting hours ‘on the stand’ for MA, many discussions and connections were made.

Much to Daves credit Gloabal Alliance and its Junior society GAG has sustained well. Dave and Missa’s departure to Dark Nights has set a new motion of consolidation for GA ~ GAG that is now undergoing reformation to accommodate Dave and Missa’s moving on.

GA in a consolidating and sustaining what Dave underpinned as decent societal values and sustaining a nexus of improvement for all in this society reworked !

I thank Dave and Missa for many invigorating hours of hunts and assistance, along with the loyal Global Alliance ~ GAG and the ‘die hards’ they assisted and were compatriots and who all deserve an honour roll mention.

Their names are too long to list a few Akillie, Butch, Bean, CC, DC, DP, Feo, Gamble, Happy, Max Hazer, Max Rampage, Mojo, Mylcat, N8, Raven, Rumsponge, Shuny and Slim our current General, and the list goes on and to be updated as my absent mind is corrected.

Yes FL list should be extended by MA :scratch2:

Thankyou Dave and Missa you are extremely appreciated as true and genuine EU Aussies:)


And what were you eating to made those Eomon fly Dave:ahh:

its so interesting to learn about ppl from all around the globe and with the times WWW became a must-read for me!

and regarding Ozi and Missa, they are surely ppl i´d like to have on my FL! Ozi because i´d really like to know more about his RL-job and his thoughts about EU and Missa because i keep hiding my ingame haircut under that first settler beret for ages now.

They are really 2 amazing personalities.

woot it`s ozi&missa! :) too bad u guys aren`t in GA anymore...
However i wouldn`t be in EU anymore if i hadn`t met ozi and GA, back then when there was only GA and not GAG and DK and such things... ^^

And the beat goes on ... thank you to all who continue to come into this thread to share their thoughts and experiences with Ozi and Missa. It's incredibly cool to have this kind of platform to showcase our fellow Entropians and the wonderful people they are.

So ... thank you 711 ... for allowing me to run with the Wednesday's Who's Who at Mach-Star9 with my hair on fire to produce them. No worries about the hair though, because Missa can fix it. :laugh: I've been working out too, so she doesn't have to pull out the ML-35, or any other piece of hardware from her arsenal. :wtg:

And ... everything is on course for next week's profile as well. 711 makes every effort to have them published at the Front Page in time for the early risers in Europe who wake up and sign into the forum with coffee in hand. Thank you for that too MrAdminMan. :D

Also ... thank you to all who have given an EFD Award, because it eventually goes to a good cause. I never use it for myself, but pass it on to those who could use it for events, or purchasing something being sold for EFD. I'm watching JC's current fun thread to see where his EFD is going, because the "EFD Fairy GodMother" is about to strike. :wtg: And 711? ... your EFD Award cracks me up, but is quite special, so thank you very much. ;)

Well Mr. Rex ... you and your lovely Onica got profiled last year in October by MsPinky, and it was way cool to read about you as an active EU couple as well. I think it's awesome that couples not only play together in game, but also partake in the EU Ambassador role at expos and conventions. I am definitely onboard to attend one of those next year, but I want to time it with something else I'm involved with, so I'll keep an eye on the MA expo schedule for sure. :D
 
Gday MS9, Ozi & Missa and All,

Found the article a great read as this is all I can really do at the moment. Wish I could be ingame with you all but I am fighting and battling this illness hard (7 weeks now) and all being well I hope to be back in time for Christmas.

I have fond memories of meeting up with Ozi and Missa, sharing discussions over a few reds, cheese and crackers late at night with the other ambassadors.

I would like to thank MS9 from the bottom of my heart for highlighting those on the eastern side of the globe as far as you can get without coming back around the other side. The two players are known to many of those around the globe but are part of the heart of the aussie community which is growing. Their love of the game was evident when we sat and talked with prospective players at the convention and afterwards with a drink.

I count them as true friends and great people.

All the best in 09~!

Was the perfect reminder of what i've been missing while globetrotting...

The variety and depth in a virtual world environment where there's always something to do and someone to meet.

wow, now that has to be the best Who's Who i've read yet (not being biased as I too am an aussie lol) and about some seriously cool people.
I remember first meeting Ozi at an event run by Bagz at the citidel, he's always helped us at ANZAC out with advice and was chuffed to see "Lochy Lochness Monster" get a mention (he's a friends little brother lmao). Sorry to say that I am yet to meet Missa as I am always out mining or running from big evil things lol.

Good to see more Aussie's anyway!!

Thank you for the continued comments ... they are certainly appreciated, and it's nice to see how people have been affected by the specialness of Ozi and Missa. It's apparent that their genuineness crosses over into the virtual world as well, and is embraced by many.

To Bagman ... SO sorry to hear of your illness Hon, and that it has lingered for so long. I truly hope you are well soon, and are able to come back into the fold with us in game. I have no doubt that you are greatly missed. :hug:

To Nighthawk ... this week's profile is definitely on target ... it's done, and the person being profiled has not only reviewed the mock-up, but has returned it to me. All that's left now, is for me to recreate it at my Desk in the Newsroom. Come Wednesday morning when people arrive at the forum with coffee in hand, they will find that I have revealed something quite ... hmmmm, not sure what to call it :D ... guess everyone will have to wait and decide for themselves. :laugh:

When i started EU 12 months ago i was at the tp in PA when some guy announced he wanted 1k of sweat and would pay 10 ped to the first person to trade him, well i looked around and he was right next to me which was in deed a tad handy :) as sweat was going for .6 then.

As he traded with me i asked if the Ozi meant he to was from Australia to which he answered yes. He then tried to give me armour, fap etc from his storage but i had pixie and vivo already so declined the offer, but i did say "you havent got a pair of pants have you as i took mine off and cant put them back on" (i didnt realise they went orange when you repaired them).

He then had to run me from TI castle to TI city to meet Missa who gave me a pair of pants and reilly boots which in the game to a new person is quite a lot (which sometimes we forget).

From that day Ozi and Missa were extremely helpful to me and would always answer my pm's and help me out in anyway i needed to get me on the right path.

I personaly thank them both for the friendship they have shown me and help they have offered me in my 12 months in the game. If there were more people like them in the game it could only benefit us all.

my story is very similar to butch's only the places change as a noob i met Ozi at the swamp camp and Missa in front of bank neverdie :) and after trading with Missa and Ozi i had armor,fap,ped, and a pair of pants AND the best part :) two great friends thank you two for everything !! GZ and the best of Luck to you both butch you said it m8 they are a class act !!!!

Stonewalker is a prime example of what I was talking about in the interview. I helped out a new player, he grew to be a well respected member of the society and ended up General of Global Alliance Guard. I just love to see how people can progress in Entropia.

Indeed Ozi ... and what I am finding more and more with this profile, is just how gracious both you and Missa have been in your travels across this vast universe of ours. It's truly admirable, and certainly worth recognizing, but I know there are many others like yourselves who extend the helping hand to those who are new and need the guidance.

I wish ... I could do a profile a day, just to bring to light the incredible depth of the human side of our community. It's neverending ... and whether it's just an extended hand to help someone navigate, or supporting fellow colonists in battle (as we have seen recently), the common theme (despite those challenges we experience now and then), is to be of service to each other.

There is no doubt, for me ... that it's the people that make this universe the special environment that it is, and why I will continue to bring them to the Front Page to share their much-deserved recognition. :D
