Paying a PED fee to join a society?

So I seen someone online wearing nice clothes and out of curiosity I looked up there society info and it says to join you have to pay a fee of 20k PED!

Don't get me wrong, this is not an anti post to his society. When I see some of the skills needed to join some societies I know I would spend more than 20K PED in ammo or skill implants to qualify. I was just very surprised to see an outright entrance fee.

Why not cough up the 20K PED and see what its all about?
