To the Cyrene Planet Partners,
MindArk Representatives,
and the Cyrene Development Team,

We, the undersigned players and supporters of the Planet Cyrene community, respectfully submit this petition advocating for Gradara Akasha Thukilar to be granted a Planet Cyrene Shop.

Introduction

Cyrene’s success is rooted in its distinct identity and the dedication of the players who help shape its community. Among these contributors, Akasha stands out as one of the planets most impactful and enduring supporters.

Akasha’s Contributions

For years, Akasha has been a leading force behind player knowledge, documentation, and engagement on Cyrene. Her contributions include:

1) Founder and Maintainer of CyreneDream.org

Akasha created and continually maintains CyreneDream.org, the most comprehensive and up-to-date repository of Cyrene-focused information available. The site includes:
  • Detailed mob profiles and stats
  • Complete mission walkthroughs
  • Mining information, resource charts, and field data
  • Maps, coordinates, and location references
  • Patch/update summaries and historical changes
  • Loot data, newcomer guides, tips, and more
CyreneDream.org has become the central knowledge hub for both new and veteran Cyrene players.

2) Relentless, Volunteer-Fueled Documentation

Akasha spends countless unpaid hours verifying data, correcting outdated information, and responding to updates, often within hours of a VU or hotfix. This work ensures that CyreneDream.org remains accurate, relevant, and reliable.

3) Strengthening Cyrene’s Community Identity

Her efforts have:
  • Helped new players stay longer by offering clarity and support
  • Made Cyrene approachable during periods when official documentation was limited
  • Boosted the planet’s visibility and credibility in the wider Entropia Universe
  • Created a welcoming, knowledgeable community base that Cyrene is known for
Few planets in Entropia have an equivalent fan-driven resource. Cyrene’s stands above the rest because of Akasha.

CyreneDream.org serves as a promotional tool for the planet, attracting players to explore and invest their time and PED on Cyrene.
Akasha's presence and support directly contribute to Cyrene’s growth, retention, and reputation.

I am not denying she has done an amazing job for the Cyrene community and she has helped so many players directly or indirectly.

But this would set a precedent if MA or the PP's started to gift players "shops"

In my opinion that would be a bit unfair. There is other ways that she can be appreciated. Cyrene devs could add statues of her avatar all around Cyrene.

Yes she has worked very hard but so have many other players in this game. Was they rewarded? no.

As much as I wanted to vote yes I decided I will abstain from voting. (EDIT: I decided to vote no in the end)

I use cyrenedream whenever I am on Cyrene.. So yeah it is quite similar, other than that the devs gifted the shop to Penny, and this is a request by players.

Ok yes but again I still stand by what I said. If this became a thing there will be those that will never get that "gift" so it just becomes unfair to those that do just as much to help the community and they get nothing compared to the few that does.

Far to often we ask the devs to do things...we can handle ourselves...so give your PED today to Akasha and say THANK YOU.

Now this is something I would agree with. Not a hand out from the PP's or MA because as I stated that would be an unfair system.

I actually had this weird idea a few months ago about setting up a EU website similar to gofundme but for EU. Now I have said this idea I am sure a site will pop up and I will miss the opportunity to make it. But honestly I have not made any websites for a long time and I do not really want to get back into making any,
 
I don't often go to Cyrene and don't use his website, but I voted Yes, because I encourage players with so much dedication to their commnunity.

(BTW, there are many more...)
 
This is my first time making a post like this. I don't think I should have had a YES/NO vote system since a petition is really just people signing their name in support of an idea. A No vote is just equivalent to not signing the petition but less insulting lol. I also removed the visibility on who votes what.

I used the idea of a Shop gift because a precedent for this type of action has been already made. And truthfully, why is such a precedent bad? If somebody wants to invest years of time benefiting a component of EU, why should there not be a possible reward for such effort? Doesn't mean everybody that lifts a finger to help the community deserve a gift, but this level of effort is certainly warranted.

Lets be honest, the site benefits players tremendously and helps focus our mission objectives. If this translates into players spending more time (and Ped) on Cyrene, this directly benefits the PP. So I don't think it is unreasonable to ask for them to offer a token of that appreciation. A shop costs them nothing and can't be immediately TT'd for a withdrawal. If people are worried she'll just sell it and run for the hills, just lock the deed from resale (maybe for a period of time like 3-5 years). Just an idea.

But nonetheless, I am glad to see some alternative ideas should the devs not come forward with a offer of some type. I'd certainly be willing to contribute to such an effort. 🍻

They can not just lock 1 deed because that would mean it would lock all of the other deeds as well. The only way they could lock a deed from being tradeable would be to make a brand new special gift deed that is not tradeable.
 
If I was a planet partner and had an akasha (free labor + not small cost of their own pocket + 1000s of hours time) making a huge success out my investment I'd be kissing ass every way I could get away with.. shop since that's been done before, naming a village after her, a LA for free rent as long as work remains ongoing until it stops. Akasha has personally helped me in game too ontop of the insane website that's a must use. I've seen her even spend a bunch (1000s of ped) on skills just to get us the information on a minimum level needed for something on a mission to add to site right away (completely useless ingame skill btw). What she does is just beyond rediculous to me. There's people who make stuff for personal gain then there is akasha's..

These type people are what boost our games population indirectly and directly just adding this in since rob brings up all the time how we need new blood which is true. Like entropialife, that site going under will affect our games population for sure. There's entropia central but that's not working a lot of the time yet and doesn't have a whole history with total hunt loots etc that people like to show off with and keep them motivated to compete. Certain people who spend multiple years and tons of money + time FIRST just to help the game and not themselves in some way is ok to be gifted a little something like a shop.
 
Planet Partners should not gift anything regardless of the level of input/impact. It opens a whole can of worms and potential issues, distrust and favouritism.

Now if she wants to start a fundraising link in the site and the player contribute to that, would be safer option. (Similar to EL had)

great work, but if I look at it from a different angle, you would probably stone me, it's a different time and information is shared, where are the times when information was unavailable and we were looking for a solution with just a few friends (this is not about the EU - the overall experience of the games)
 
Instead of a petition find people, collect money and buy him what he wishes, much easier than stay in your knees begging.
 
There are so many people that did so many good things for the community, for the entire community, from tools, to websites and helping with managing the small communities and helping new commers, like Akasha is doing we would not have enough booth shops in the game for all of them. I am one of the players that uses most of the tools and I am thankful we have such a nice community!
Shop may not come, but we can thank them and show them our appreciation.

Because some understand everyhing in life has a price and put their money straight where the mouth is.

Do like Monria and name new items after key community members
 
Make it untradable and unsellable/transferable etc. The shop is removed when they quit or whatever.
 
Why not grant her the stable turrelion assasinator instead?

This is a small but highly justified reward and would encourage even more community engagement going forward. This players efforts have helped me endlessly when I had never even ventured to Cyrene. Strong Yes vote from me.
