you should know by now that ALL skills are linked together that if you skill up on a hunting prof your crafting prof's will slowly increase

Tier Upgrader profession is linked to a wider variety of skills than most crafting, though. Pretty much anything that can be tiered up has some related skill that contributes to the profession.
