You read it right ... I broke down and got myself a vehicle after having so much fun with Skeezer's on RockTropia. Naturally, it had to be purple, so I contacted Summer and she hooked me up. It was quite by accident that it turned out the way it did, because I made a visit to her shop at Emerald Lakes Mall and saw a Blausarium textile in her display window that looked exactly like the purple color I wanted. I asked her if it could be used on the vehicle and if the purple color would transfer. After she said yes, it was a go, and she used dark mauve (I believe) on the wheels.

I went back to RockTropia ... and launched the maiden road trip there because I really enjoy the road system. It was something I was (more or less) familiar with as a result of riding and driving around with Skeezer. Moonie had never been to RockTropia, and having the vehicle was a surprise, because he was going to get to drive it as well.

Oh boy ... our 4th of July evening turned out to be quite the adventure. RockTropia added more content, and the cities are quite spectacular, not to mention that I made a turn down a road or two that had some surprises. :D Oh, and speaking of surprises ... there's a bit of trick driving involved, along with some off-road wackiness you won't want to miss.

After arriving on RockTropia ... we met up briefly with Skeezer because he had to be out for about an hour or so to watch fireworks, but he wanted to see the vehicle, and also show us his Walk of Fame star. He was the first RockTropian of the Month (ROTM) and proudly displays his star along side those of Neverdie, Lemmy, and Kevin Rudolph.

While waiting for Skeezer's return ... we decided to do a little road travelin' ... and Jekyll Dajoka Hyde joined us, which is seen in the beginning of the video.

What a ride ... especially running into some local friends along the way, not to mention the incredible cities. The first one we road into I believe is supposed to be like London, and the other city that Moonie and I and Skeezer explored later on was New Harlem I think. The detail is amazing, and since we kinda whizzed through everything so fast, we're going to be going back to do a full exploration. There were others who joined us in our fun, but there was just far too much video to include it all, so I had to pick and choose. Perhaps next time I'll get everyone in ... but thank you for adding to the craziness of the evening. ;)

At the end of the day ... the adventure was just too much fun, especially with the added animations while driving, but ... couldn't have ended it without a special moment. :D

The cities are cool ... and I like that they're such a nice size with many roads that you can travel on, but the street walkers get in the way now and then. The head is still in one piece, although, after Moonie rolled it at the tree, I figured I needed to get even ... so I took him for a moonlight swim. :D At the end I found it interesting that even though there were land patches and the water was shallow, the water eventually stalled out the vehicle, and that's where I got caught being chased by those ... whatever they were.

Well my goodness ... how are you my dear friend ... haven't seen you in a while. Yes, RockTropia keeps getting better, although my approach to the planets is rather different than perhaps most. I don't do hunting, mining, or crafting, so having the vehicle really makes it fun ... especially since the outer roads and inner streets of the cities are just too fun.

There are ... twists and turns and tunnels and subways, and even an underground club, but you have to run a maze through a tunnel in what appears to be green water in order to find the club.

Oh, did I forget to mention ... caves, waterfalls and crypts?

One thing that was cool ... was every time Skeezer would take us to a new location, he wouldn't tell us any more, but have us go off on our own exploring while he waited, rather than lead us. It made it quite enjoyable to make the discoveries on our own. :D

I can say this ... that I'm getting to like RockTropia more with each update. After what I've seen so far with what they've done with the cities, I can only imagine what's coming ... it's rather impressive ... except, not sure what happened this last update though, because when we were out on the open road, we noticed that grass was all over parts of the road, not to mention a tree or two right in the road. Hopefully they'll get it sorted.

Take care Rip ... and maybe see you in-world again one day? ;)

Probably more than that ... aspirin, and the wolves were chewing at the wheels. I might have to touch up the Blaus texture a bit after you wrapped it around one tree and ran head-on into another. Can't even have a romantic drive these days. (j/k) They might need to implement road side service, and ... oh, oh, oh ... a drive-in theater on Mulholland Drive. :D

It's all good Moonie ... despite leaping into gullies and falling off cliffs (not to mention a little heat from the Pop Dragons) ... I think the car did pretty well. She's ready for the next road adventure, so when you're ready to lay down some more tread, let me know. ;)

Awesome video MS9 and I'm so glad to hear the quote above! :ahh:

Great fun and next time I'll try to go the right way and not lead you into a swarm of werewolves....

Ahhhh ... is that what they were? I thought they were just some of your groupies since they were running after you :D ... found out differently when I got dead. Thanks again for sharing the time with us Hon, it's always a blast. I might need to make another video that shows off your crazy-ass driving all over the place. It made it fun though, and I wouldn't have changed a thing ... I love spontaneity. Next time we'll definitely have to make it to the coast and drive the beach. :silly2: We're still on RockTropia and won't be leaving for a while. :D

Sounds like a plan ;-)

Thanks Hon ... I'm really pleased with how it came out, but then it was my fashion guru Summer who applied all the magic. The texture is Blausarium on the body of the vehicle, with no paint whatsoever. She then used dark mauve (I think) on the wheels to top it off, which actually seems to bring out the flecks in the texture more. Glad you liked the video ... putting it together was just pure fun. I try very hard to synchronize video footage with the music track, and in this one I think it worked rather well. The artist is new to me and I discovered him quite by accident while looking for something appropriate, and now I can't get enough of him ... he's brilliant.
