I mean, why are ~5000 human beings( that's my personal estimate of how many hardcore players there really are...) willing to keep wasting millions of hours of their precious lives and keep putting many thousands of dollars of their hard-earned cash, for years and years, into a game whose designers are so clearly unwilling to respond to their modest and oft-repeated requests?

Oh, and when is the universe going to collapse in upon itself and disappear in a big implosion?
I need to reserve a good dinner party caterer for that date.

I think greed and peoples innate love of gambling is what keeps EU going, or at least what keeps many people going in EU.
As for the universe, lets put it this way, you don't have to worry about it. Most likely none of your ancestors (except in the loosest sense of the word) have to either. Personally I hope the cyclic model of cosmology is correct, but by very definition we can really never know (how do you know what happens after your universe ends?). I just like the idea that everything will be wiped away and a new universe gets to start over fresh and try it all again.

Well a+b are kind of related because what I would change is mostly undoing things MA changed.

1) I would put peds back in loot.
2) I would allow everything to actually still drop. MA likes to say everything can still drop, but obviously they have changed the rate to almost be 0. 'Mod fap can still drop'. Ok, well lets look at the evidence.. in the first year or two of EU 30-so mod faps dropped when there were only a few thousand players. In the 7ish years since with 10s of thousands of people hunting probably millions of mobs, 0 have dropped. Maybe there is a .00000000000% chance somewhere of a mod fap dropping if the stars align correctly, but realistically, NO, everything does NOT still drop.
3) I would institute more transparency.. x% goes to MA, x% goes to PP, x% goes to LA, x% goes back in to loot. Etc. Even slot machines in a casino need to say what % they pay out, and they call those one armed bandits. So what is Mindark, a 2 x (# of employees) armed bandit?

Because then someone could create an avatar to spam in PA/Twin and make a thread on PCF asking everyone to allow that Ava to add them to FL so that a study could be done on average number of players online and +/- trends in that number.

U had one of the most successful and exciting life in PE. I enjoyed a lot to follow ur achievements in this game, I miss it.
