Basic arithmetic.

Normalised score of 1341.754858 equates to an average of 89.45 per hour for first place. If that's correct then I should have carried on and done my 15 hours because I would have doubled that.

It would also mean that to get a total score of 14768 Herode must have done 165 hours.

I think they've just divided the normalised scores by 10 due to incompetent Excel use If so then it makes no difference really.

I was looking at these scores again and something seems fishy on how MA made calculations:

1 - Herode Poupette Mathusalem - 1341.754858

Even if he/she did 15 hours exactly, the normalized score would only be 14768/15 = 984.5333

If you add more hours, the number only goes down.

You can do this to each one of the participants in the top 10 and see something is wrong.

Would be nice to see some clarity on this issue.

I'm not dogging on any of the participants, gratz to all - but I think MA f'ed up something...

As oleg pointed out out, they are most likely off by a magnitude. Do the math with 10x the normalized score and it will make sense sense.

Okay, here we go;

So, Herode made a total of 16.5 hours with an average hourly score of 895 leading to the normalized score of 13420.

This was my first MA event like this. IIRC, I did 22 1 hour runs, two of those were cut short by CTD and that annoying thing called Real Life, so lets call it 20 hours. I ended up with 6413 points and got 500 ped of ammo

I'm a little slow, so I am confused by the instructions and the normalized scores. I am not sure what I was supposed to do, so I just depo'd and blasted away as long as I could. Apparently I am getting old and can't grind all night like I used to I assume the reason I didn't do better is that I didn't loot any of those high value DSUs which is all luck, so what exactly is the strategy here as it relates to this normalized score stuff for the next time?

Note: I was using a T7 Ranked Scorpion + OCA204 with full damage enhancers which entropedia indicates is 99.3 dps. Plus I used a T1 Arsonistic Ten Ed. w/dmg enhancer, but entropedia doesn't seem to want to calc that dps for me, I must be doing something wrong, but I am assuming I was over 100 dps, which I thought was decent, but apparently not that decent! I might need an upgrade soon!
