I went to high school with James Doohan's son, Tom. Was a friend of mine. (btw, ya, Doohan is Canadian but moved to Seattle years ago).

Sad I met "Scotty" a few times even, but needless to say I'm not a Trekkie

Without Scotty, i think Star Trek wouldn't have been as good . I just love the "Beam me up Scotty" line .

Too bad he died, hope he gets inducted in the Trekkie Walk of fame.
