I'm mid 40's in laser rifles.
I haven't deposited in over a year, and haven't been cycling with anything bigger than webshop gun.
I am thinking about pushing to at least Commando.
Right now, my options are (that I can see)
Invest in an LR-20 something or other.
Grind token guns a bit more until I'm 50, considering LR-40 X/Y/Z model.
Grind token guns until 70+
I am considering depositing again to climb, but not race. Maybe 300 PED/week or so.
My question for your opinions, is 30 keys/300 PED ammo per week, fully intending to cycle down the shrapnel until it's gone, then wait/sweat/heal for the next deposit enough to justify something like an LR-40 or higher, or is that budget more suitable for token guns and casual grinding?
T.I.A.
Edit to add:
Assuming a 90% TT return, and a markup of +30k (IDK, just made it up) for a Mayhem LR-40, the extra eff% granting a true .7% increase in returns per 10%, I would have to cycle for something like 120 years at 300 PED per week to recoup the markup. Looking at the numbers, the answer is basically clear. Stick to token guns, have fun, forget about returns, blow the thirty bucks and have fun.
