Here’s a quick introduction to Teleportation Tokens and the missions on Howling Mine :girl:

Some players are concerned about travelling through space. An easy way to avoid that is by using Teleportation Tokens. They can be crafted or bought via auction, shops, or trading. After one of the latest updates, they’ve become much more affordable. The cost per trip is now 10 Teleportation Tokens (previously 15).

One thing to remember when travelling with tokens is to keep an eye on your weight. You can only travel through the teleports if you weigh 150 kg or less, but it’s great if you need to transfer stackables from one planet to another.

I don’t know the teleport points on other planets beyond Calypso, but if you’ve used them before, be aware that the Calypso point changed from Port Atlantis Mall TP to Port Atlantis TP. Use the upper right drop down and choose e.g. Howling Mine to get the TP on the list, that you can travel to.

You can buy the Teleportation Token blueprint on Howling Mine, but you need a certain level to craft them.

NEVERDIE also has a shop on Howling Mine where he sells the tokens.

When you TP (or travel through space) to Howling Mine and go from the docks to the mine, you’ll end up at the Howling Mine Teleporter.

Have a chat with the guy standing there to get the mission To The Stars. He’ll give you a Sleipnir, a thruster, and some oil to get you started. He’ll also quickly guide you on how to use the Sleipnir.

On the other side of the TP you can get the daily missions in space and mine. Do them for awards. Choose wisely, you can do one daily mission.

------------------------------------------------------------------

If you run all the way to the mine, through the crafting area, past Club NEVERDIE, and the apartment and shopping area, you’ll find the Employer. Here you can do two missions: A Job To Do Daily and The Cleanup Job.

------------------------------------------------------------------

A Job To Do Daily takes place in the dome with the mobs. When you start A Job To Do Daily, you’ll receive a gun and ammo to get you going.

The Cleanup Job takes place in space. You'll get tools to do this mission too, but to have a vehicle, make sure to get To The Stars too.

You earn Hunting Scrips, which you can trade for PED once you reach 260. You also earn Credits, which can be traded for PED or more ammo.

Hope this helps some of you. And remember always to have fun :saint:

What to do with Tailings?

Some might see tailings as shrapnels with no or little value. Just like shrapnels can be turned into ammo, you can trade tailings to something more valuable.

To do so, you will need tailings (looted when space mining) and recycling scrips (traded or crafted. Find the BP in the mining terminal).

The trading is simple.

Go to the Dialogue terminal in the Howling Mine center area - and follow the instructions.

In return you get ores and stones - some with nice mu, some you might use for your own crafting.

Where to get the Teleportation Tokens BP?

You can get the bp in the Space Mining Terminal e.g. on Howling Mine (but I believe you can get them on Calypso Space Station too).

There are 2 BPs - a limited and an unlimited BP.

You can buy them with Astral Fragments which can be mined in space or traded in the above Dialogue Terminal.

You need a sertain level to be able to craft the TTokens.

Nice.
I should add that I didn't see a distinction between space station transfers which cost 6 tokens and I think it's planet to planet that costs 10 tokens, so a convenience/time thing.
'Planet' to space stations sometimes costs a thruster use of 10 pec tt and sometimes not. The tp down again is free, so you can save quite a bit with the slightly longer journey.
I've not started selling tokens on NI from my caravan shop, so I don't yet know if people prefer to buy multiples of 6 or 10 tokens.

Oh, and I realise this is about avoiding lootable space, but I believe the tokens themselves are not lootable, just in case you are travelling through space empty apart from tokens. Any confirmation?

Howling Mine Map

A simple Howling Mine Map for those who can't find their way around, or are going for the first time. If you find I missed something important, let me know :saint:

(To view the full sized map, right click and open image in new tab)

The map looks good! Nice work. But you could have added the NPC for the Galactic mission too.

Eva Monroe - your personal best friend

This is not about an actual mission ... but you can ASK about missions.

Meet Eva Monroe at the bar to the right side when going into Club NEVERDIE on Howling Mine.

Since I'm a girlie, of course I had a girlish chat with the lady. She's fun and has a lot of stories to tell if you have a lot of time to spend, of course :girl: :shots:

Ok ok ... enough about fashion and frozen margaritas ...

She has a 'mission' tab too, but it didn't work, so I asked into that ....

Derric Mueller - Almost a captain, a legend, a martyr ... everything

Eva Monroe is not the only "person" shining at the Club NEVERDIE bar. At the very end of the bar stands the handsome but extremely dry 'captain', Derric Mueller.

He's not a fun and vibrant person like Eva, but he answers you with clear, very helpful facts. Sometimes too helpful and sometimes a little rough. Then again, you are kind of a 'kid' to him ... But I'm sure he would be the right person for some death punch on a Friday night!

I tried to start a gossip-venting chat with him about Eva - but he didn't fall for it :lam:

What he CAN do (that is much funnier than his casual chatting) is answering questions about the missions.

I asked him about the Mission Galactica, offered by Dread Castamir, because it starts at level 5, so was wondering about level 1-4.

I've not read all yet, but Eva recognises you mean trigger not tricker, and learn not lean, so it is a full and deep model behind it, and somehow packed with "Lootius" knowledge as well. She also says she's virtual, or in a virtual bar, if I skimmed your interaction correctly!
WOWsers!!! - will read more later when I have more time.
Which other npcs have the fullest setup behind them? Caly, elsewhere?

Hey :)

She only knows because I fed it to her. The question is now if she remembers at my next visit ;) I did also feed the AI at Twins with Lootius knowledge and asked her to greed me with Lootius bless. She did so and remembered my background and everything I told her for a little while, but when they are fed with too much info, some of it fades out at a point and it looks like they forgot.

Normally an AI in a game will remember summaries or key-words from a chat that it will tie to an avatar/person. From all the info it might find some of it more relevant than other information, and it will replace the important ones and remember that, and therefor not everything it's been told.

There's also a safety thing around storing too much information from players that might prevent them from remembering things for a longer period of time.

For these AI's I'm sure they have a lot of written lore / mission files and documents to look into when 'thinking'. And each of them are given a persona (as you can tell, Eva is a lot more fun and light than Derric, which is much more dry and boring imo) :girl: And possibly they have a small personal/memory chat storage, where the rest of their storage is filled with information that is relevant for their position (game-related facts).

Dunno. But would be very interesting to know :)

Yes, a 'normal' gpt will notice that too and place the word into the content and notice it was misspelled :) Which is nice when you're working in a hurry lol

My human brain assumes you mean greet there :p but maybe your fingers are a bit greedy at times too.

Yes, a next important step to the various models will be how extensive, permanent and overriding various 'memories' will be. The amount of personalised memory per character is growing rapidly to the point where you can feed entire novels into one. I don't know if there is any work being done of the accuracy, scope, transfer and trimming (forgetfulness) of knowledge files to the point of getting extremely close to human recall ability/inability. This has been of interest to me for a while now, but maybe we shouldn't get too off-topic.
I'd also like to see AI thread navigation implemented at some point, so that readers might get a 'table of relevance' for posts in longer threads, that can link not just an OP's long info, but also indent semi-on-topic posts, such as #9/10 - example chat for 2 npcs on HM, plus conversation on this #11-14 (or beyond...)
People could thus more easily wade through longer threads, depending on time and interest etc..

Yeah, greet lol ...
And no, let's not get off topic, but what you mention is indeed possible and something I'm working with as I'm doing some expended AI courses atm. You can create different types of chat gpts with personas that works like forum chat bots. So it's most likely just a matter of time ;)
